Family and I have gone to Kream N’ Kone for many years usually to pickup fried claim strips or other fried offerings to go as an appetizer or side with our dinner that we make at home. I myself and not a big fan of fried food but this place does it right. Great service, value, and food. Call ahead is very effective here if you are looking to do takeout

I grew up in New England and my favorite«home» food is fried clams. Each time I visit family on the Cape I have to have them. This place is always on my list of places I have to go to enjoy them. It’s nothing fancy. Order at counter, get a number, take a seat, and food comes to you. Always delicious and more than I should finish(but always manage to).

This place was awesome. If I’m ever in a 40 mile radius of this place again, I will make the trip. I had the fried clam strips and fish combo. It comes with fries and onion rings. Everything was incredible and well priced. Each item was fresh(except maybe the fries, but what is a fresh french fry anyway…) and perfectly fried. Whoever is running this place has the art of frying down to a science, none of the items were oily at all, everything had a perfect fry and was delicious. I should have taken a before and after picture of my plate. At first there was a huge mound and then there was nothing but a paper plate that had almost no trace of oil on it. The eating space was also nice and had a great view. Without a doubt 5 stars, best fried clams I’ve ever had.

Who would imagine you would go to someplace called«Kream ‘n’ Kone» to get the best seafood, service and price in Cape Cod. We can say we saw the place driving in to Dennis, MA and wrote it off as a fast food ice cream place. Were we ever wrong. Spacious, clean, friendly atmosphere… Order at the counter and get advice from a knowledgeable girl with a smile. They bring the food to your table and you enjoy. Great presentation… Don’t let«fried» scare you. They have all kinds of options and the fried batter is light and tasty. We recommend it… Don’t miss this and you will be glad.

Long ago, my boyfriend and I did a seafood review of the Cape’s mainstays, i.e. Kream ‘N Kone, Captain Frosty’s, The Raw Bar, etc. Long story short, Kream ‘N Kone won(sorry Frosty’s, I truly do love your clam cakes). Apparently, everyone seems to agree because this place is packed with buses of fanny-pack tourists. On the bright side, you can avoid the masses by coming here during the«off-season,» because Kream ‘N Kone is one of the few places open in the ghost-town that is Cape Cod in February. Luckily, there is always ample seating(including al fresco, where I can bring my dog). Plus 1 star for not having to fight Clara Mae from Kentucky for a seat. Their ordering system is also very streamlined. Order at the register, take a number sign and a kid from DY will bring you your food. Plus one star. Now the food. My go-to here used to be the 2-choice plate– scallops and clam strips, obvi. Over the years, Kream ‘N Kone has tacked on a surcharge for clam bellies/strips, making a combo of a scallop plate and side of clam strips a better value. More food, and they fill the plate with less of their terrible Cisco fries. Onion rings are great though. Onward. The scallops here are always, always on point. Tender, sweet, nearly translucent in the middle with a crispy shell. These people can work a deep fryer. Same deal goes for clams. Also, their chowder is homemade and loaded with clams and potatoes instead of celery trash. I just wish they wouldn’t cut the big scallops in half. Plus 1 star for their variety of consistently terrific seafood. This would be a five star review, but I can’t overlook my last experience here. To keep it short, one of the workers said something clearly sexist to me in front of other patrons. Rude, embarrassing, and just frankly poor taste. If I wasn’t such a weak, feeble woman *sarcasm*, I would sue this place and eat unlimited scallops for life.

Really chill place for a good beer and seafood. We ordered the lobster rolls with beers and onion rings to share. Seating on the outside deck is limited but totally worth it. We went around 2 pm on a Saturday and it wasn’t crowded. Service was friendly and quick. Will def be back next time we’re in town.

Fried. Seafood. Who can say no to that? Ordered fried whole clams, fried oysters, and French fries and onion rings. Ughhh so good. I can’t tell you that you won’t feel kind of crappy after eating all that fried food, but every bite will just make you want more. If you want good fried seafood on the cape, I would come here. They have lots of other locations, but I remember this one being super busy. It is located at an intersection and the parking lot is always packed. We always stop here when we’re at the cape for our helping of fried seafood. Definitely would recommend this place. Can’t wait to come back!

Excellent fish and chips! Excellent home made onion rings! Nice lite batter. Huge bottles of ketchup on the table. This is a casual place, you order at counter and they bring to your table. Great seafood place for the family!

I’ve returned to Kreme N’ Kone a few more times after my first review, and their food has been consistently good. Fried clams and oysters were fresh, juicy, and delicious. My only suggestion would be to change the mayonnaise base they use for tartar sauce, as their tartar sauce isn’t as good as other places like Woodman’s or Kelly’s. A big plus is that you don’t need to stand in line for an hour to order your food like other clam shacks or stand in separate lines to get different types of food or drinks. They are very efficient and move people along quickly. The place is huge so there is plenty of seating. Staff is very friend and they deliver the food right to your table.

This is one of my family’s favorite restaurants on the cape. They have some of the best fried seafood around. I’m not a seafood eater so my options are limited but my family loves everything here. I’ve had pretty much every non-seafood option on the menu and that’s all equally delicious. The amount of food you get is crazy! The line to order is usually out the door but don’t get discouraged because it moves really quick. I knocked off one star for the cleanliness. Since there’s no wait service, the tables don’t always get cleaned between parties and there’s always stuff on the floor. But I guess that’s all part of the fun/experience.

Absolutely love this place. We were waiting all year just to enjoy the world famous Clam Chowder. The clam strips last summer was my first time eating them and what a place to enjoy them, enjoyed them again today too. The onions rings were delicious as well. Such a Tradition now that my girlfriend and I do now that we come year every summer, this snout 3 time in 2 years. Best of luck to all of you at the Kreme and Kone family.

Don’t be discouraged by the line out the door, this place is wicked efficient and cranks the food out. We ordered the shrimp plate, lobster roll, and kids chicken tenders. Seafood is super fresh and 4-stars for what it is, fried seafood(really not my thing). Chicken tenders appeared to be the previously frozen kind, kids ate them but it took coaxing and they weren’t thrilled. First ever lobster roll and will reserve judgment until I try others. 2 ½-stars for the somewhat tasteless soft serve; the ½ because we like Jimmies.

Five stars compared to its peers not a five star big city restaurant. Nice quality and quantity. The lobster role was excellent. Soft serve was excellent and enjoyed the additional favors. Friendly and good service. Even when there is a line it does not take long. I would definitely go back and highly recommend this place.

Came here on my first day at the cape and food was delicious. We had the fried seafood combo and the broiled shrimp with rice. Plus. Two clam chowders. Over all food was tasty soup was yummy but my favorite was the homemade onion rings. Amazing thin and crunchy. Oh and the girl behind the register was so sweet and helpful. She was very welcoming and I went back next day. Try the shrimp combo. So yummy.

It might be nostalgia for childhood dinners past, but I still love the Kream n Kone. It’s been a Cape Cod staple for me and my family since I was very young. For me, it’s the epitome of fresh, fried seafood. Big proportions and fried perfection. I can’t think of the Cape without thinking of the Kream n Kone(and drooling).

Came to the Cape for some relaxing beachtime and some awesome seafood. Heard good recommendations about the place and wanted to check it out and get my clam fix on! Wasn’t particularly impressed when all was said and done, though the food itself was not bad by any stretch. Large Side Order of Whole Clams(3.5÷5): These tasted delicious, I enjoyed every bit of the portion I had. That said, $ 35 for essentially a pound of clams? Not sure If I’m on board with that. Also my friend said some of his still tasted sandy… maybe I just avoided the bad ones Three Item Plate(2⁄5): Got a 3-item plate with fried scallops, oysters, and shrimp. Unfortunately I don’t think a 3-item plate is worth it because I’m fairly sure they don’t increase the amount of seafood you get on the plate(they just make it more diverse), and they load up on fries so you get very few of their delicious onion rings. Also, additional surcharge for getting scallops and oysters, and when the amount of seafood on the plate isn’t that large to begin with you start to question where that money is going. Over all, I will say that the fried seafood tasted good, and major props to the onion rings. For the price point though(we ended up paying $ 20/person), I was not particularly full and was still craving more afterwards. Could have probably scarfed down another dinner. Basically, while the fried seafood was quite tasty, there are other places I can imagine getting it just as good, for a fraction of the price.

If youre tripping to the Cape and in the mood for fried seafood… Kream and Kone is the place to go. If you dont LOVE Kream & Kone you either a) werent looking for fried seafood or b) were looking for a fast food alternative and were suprised seafood and real burgers cost more than $ 1/item… Kream & Kone is hands down, the best place of its kind in the area. It is wonderful every time. The kids love it too. My finicky(sp?) 5 yr old even loves the onion rings.

They do offer nice portions. We tried the broiled scallops w pilaf, small side oysters, lobsta roll and fried scallop platter. Pros– The fried platter comes w onions & fries Small side oysters nicely battered Broiled scallops were generous portions Lobsta was fresh claw meat. They take cc! Cons– Roll wasn’t buttered or toasted. Seating can be tight during peak time. They get a good stamp of approval for being a good staple for classic cape offerings. Enjoy ur meal!

This place lives up the hype of having some amazing fried seafood! We tried the fried scallops which were large and delicious, perfectly paired with tartar sauce. The fried whole clams were well cooked and tasted super fresh. The lobster roll was over stuffed and scrumptious with that classic lobster roll sauce. The fried haddock sandwich was good, but lacked any sort of sauce or lettuce. The fried sides came with some perfectly battered fresh onion rings and sweet and creamy slaw. We also had a cup of the lobster bisque which was creamy and not too heavy. Overall the atmosphere was friendly and the food was tasty. Definitely a place worth checking out!
