If I could give this no stars, I would. Today I went into Stage Stop Candy with my service dog. Upon entering the building, I was immediately stopped by the owner himself who told(not asked) me to take my service dog outside. When I informed him that by law, I can take my service dog(almost) anywhere, he stated that he didn’t want to get in trouble with the health inspector and asked me to leave again. I then proceeded to leave, not because he told me to, but because I refuse to spend my money in a shop owned by such an ignorant person. They may have a handicap ramp, but they are not handicap friendly, and I will NEVER give them my business. Here is a helpful link that answers frequently asked questions people have about service dogs: And here is the law: «Under the Americans with Disabilities Act(ADA) and Massachusetts General Law c. 272, § 98A, businesses that serve the public, such as restaurants, hotels, retail stores, taxicabs, theaters, concert halls, and sports facilities, are prohibited from discriminating against individuals with disabilities. Among other things, these laws require businesses to allow people with disabilities to bring their service animals onto business premises in whatever areas customers are generally allowed. Discrimination by a business against persons with disabilities is also a violation of the Massachusetts Consumer Protection Act, G.L. c. 93A.» ***I have filed a violation report with the state.

Definitely best chocolates ever! I thought my friend was exaggerating when he said this place had the best chocolates around when a group of my friends and I went down to the cape for a mini weekend vacation, but I kid you not, this place is even better than Godiva’s. I couldn’t stop eating their milk chocolate almond bark. Their chocolates are absolutely delicious. I can’t tell you exactly why it’s different, but once you taste it you can tell that the chocolates are one of a kind.

Our friends visiting from out of town, were a bit tired of ice cream, but wanted a sweet fix, so we took them here. We, ourselves, haven’t been here in years. Mostly, due to the fact that our family could eat everything in the shop! But, of course with company in town, we had to indulge a little bit! Seriously, the best fudge around, and the varieties are extensive. Silky and smooth doesn’t even begin to describe how good this stuff is! Truffles were smooth, and creamy-but not too sweet, as many can be, and had a really nice outside/inside flavor balance. They also have a large variety of «real» salt water taffy(not the boxed junk), and offer a number of sugar free options. Great stuff!

The assortment of in-house made candy here is boggling. They resell plenty of classic candies not made in house, but their own creations are the reason to come. I’ve had some great flavored truffles here, like margarita, berry, and lemon curd off the top of my head. They look good too — I even got one shaped like Buddha! Staff is friendly and helpful as well. Definitely worth stopping at if you’re anywhere near Dennis on the Cape.

Some very impressive chocolates here. Just a tad bit bland I think.

So I have never been to this candy shop but I was sent a gift box all the way across the country. It was filled with chocolate and peanut brittle. and well tons off goodness. They even seemed to use colorful yummy taffy as packing peanuts– the banana taffy was the best. Opening the box was like being smacked by willy wonka. If they put as much care into a box of treats I bet they would take great care of you at their shop.
