I have lived in Washington state for a very long period. In that state the DQ’s are the standard. Unfortunately for this establishment here in Denton, TX, to me has failed to live up to that standard. The facility itself looks outdated. As I do appreciate a nostalgic look, this place looks broken down. It feels in quite need of an update. The service was disappointing. Not one person seemed happy to work at their station, not even at least a «fake it until you make it» attempt. The lady that helped me made me feel rushed. I felt this whole time an inconvenience, and was almost on the verge of apologizing for giving my order. Every person at this restaurant also had their own clothes on. If this is independently owned, wouldn’t there still be some sort of uniform code or standard. I saw one person wearing shorts, and another a tank top. The blizzard was the main reason for the trip. I was excited to be having my Blizzard as I came into the parking lot of the restaurant. As I have received my blizzard, I was not impressed at all. The first impression I had was my cup was chipped at the edges causing a slight oozing over the edge, luckily I was able to just shift everything to one side. The product itself wasn’t as thick as I remember them and was more of a milkshake than a DQ Blizzard. I don’t even think it would have passed the upside down test. Sadly, this DQ has been a disappointment, and a horrible representation of the brand and company.

The drive thru here is super slow and you are better off just going inside to order. If not, you will have to park and wait a good 15 minutes for someone to bring out your order. I tried the chicken strip country basket. The chicken strips were actually very good, and so was the Texas toast it came with. But the country gravy was not in a container, they just ladled it into the to-go container. It made everything super messy plus the gravy wasn’t good at all, bland and flavorless. DQ still makes great food, but for this particular location, your better off going inside to eat.

It has been quite awhile since I visited this restaurant because in the past they had bad service and the food was tetinbule, but on Saturday the 6th of June I went in because it was the last Place to get to the place where I could eat. When I was to sit down I couldn’t fit in the booth, and at that time the manager came to me and pulled up a chair and brought to me personally fit me to sit down at the table, instead of the booth.

I gave it a 3 stars because of the high prices, the tired old setup inside and the crummy bathrooms. Don’t let the rating set you against the food. The food is always fresh and the location is very clean as other reviews have pointed out, but it’s Dairy Queen for sure. Same old wood panel booths to sit in, and teens working behind the counter. Still as I remember it as when I was a kid. Just be prepared to pay. some money for a mediocre burger combo and ice cream. Otherwise, I love DQ and always will.

Traditional DQ in design, so the store could use some updating. They do a good job keeping the store clean though. We visit often when we are in the area and have lays found good food and fast, friendly service.

They were quick, accurate, and knew how to make the blizzards, although they did not have all the supplies. The place is somewhat old and run down but clean.
