This place sucks — eat here at your own risk.
My wife and I got fries that looked like they were covered in black pepper — when she went to exchange them she was told «it’s not pepper, it’s from the fryalator.» Mmmmmm — just what we wanted — black dirt all over the food. They refused to refund our money and we left angry and hungry.
Del Taco never responded to out complaint so out like $ 20.
If you want free diarrhea with your burritos, this is the place to go.

My favorite fast food tacos, just barely overtaking Taco Casa tacos. I don’t get anything else here! If you just can’t get to downtown Denton or near any authentic Mexican restaurants, you should definitely come here. And if you just want non-​fancy Tex-​Mex crunchy tacos without all that cilantro and complicated soft corn tortilla street taco stuff, then this is totally the place to go.

Grilled chicken tacos are pretty much the only thing I usually get from here, always delicious. Everything is better than Taco Bell for sure, fresher & always excellent service.

Just tried again today after not have been in the area to eat recently and have to say the place needs a good boot camp. Had to repeat the order 5 times as the blk gentleman was snickering and laughing about something in the background as others talked to him asking me to repeat my order as if saying it 2 – 3 times was not annoying enough. I get to the window as he hands me a small drink when i had ordered a medium. Then asked if I had wanted any salsa after telling him yes and what kinds 3 times. This place used to be good but if this is the type of service to be expected id rather take my chances with Taco hell.

The staff was extremely friendly and quick to service. The guy who I’m assuming is the manager brought my food out to me and made sure to check that everything was good.
Obviously Del taco is not gourmet food, but people who come to del taco know that. Either way, the food was good and fresh. Great value for what you get. I spent a few dollars and I’m stuffed.

It’s Del Taco; put it in perspective. If you were hoping for authenticity, drive to E. McKinney. Now, when it is late, and the authentic places are closed, your choices are limited. Rusty Taco is decent, but the staff screws up our orders every time… and always forgets at least one taco. This Del Taco has yet to make a mistake, even when we place annoyingly specific orders.

Hmm… i paid 10 dollars for a meal and was still hungry… the service was not that great as my ketchup for my fries was not included and my beefy tostada had no beef just beans. The fries were soggy as well, not fully cooked. The «double beef» tacos were less than a single serving of beef at taco casa up the street. It was honestly pitiful. The shrimp taco was ok, I did like the fried shrimp. Get it together… I might try again.

Great cheap eats Mexican or late night, they also have a salsa bar inside!

Love their crispy tacos and Inferno sauce. I wish they had a location closer to University Dr., but I deal with 288 craziness just to make it to Del Taco. I go a few times a month and the customer service is EXCELLENT. I’ve never had a bad experience– and have probably laughed more because of the employees than I can say for any other fast food restaurant. They do a great job.

Pretty good tacos, they have been none by some to cause the «del taco shits» for those who are not as well versed in the art of consuming greasy fast food tacos.

This location was great! They prepare your food to order and then bring it out to you. The food was great and inexpensive.

I just finished my to-​go meal a few minutes ago so I thought I’d share a review. I’ve heard a lot about this place since it opened, but I never got around to trying it. Today I grabbed a number one, the two beef tacos combo, with soft instead of crunchy shells.
The food was acceptable, but I won’t say it was good enough that I’d want to come back. The tacos were so overwhelmingly packed with lettuce that one of my tacos was cold and damp (yuck). The other was still packed with lettuce, but thankfully, it wasn’t soggy like the first, but I still ended up scraping half the lettuce off of it because there was so much. The fries were… boring and limp. They are crinkle fries, but I’ve made them better myself by baking a frozen bag that you can buy from the grocery store.
The drive thru line was quick, and the employee at the drive thru window was nice so that’s a plus, and it’s also open 24 hours (nice!). Another positive is they gave out coupons with my meal so I may come back to try something from the coupons.
Good customer service, sub par food. I don’t get what the hype was about.
[Edit] I’ve been here again, and it was much better since my first visit. I got a free shake using a coupon and a del combo burrito (I think). It was pretty good! My husband really likes this place. Added one more star.

I’ve tried better Tex-​Mex and Del Taco was a huge disappointment.
don’t get the fish tacos, as cheap as they may be, I’d rather walk over to the neighboring Long Johns for their baja fish tacos.

At first I was a little skeptical about taco and burrito combos that came with fries… until I tried it! Que bueno! Especially the deluxe chili cheese fries. The drive thru is open 24 hours and they have taco nights on Tuesday and Thursday. Super inexpensive and everything I’ve tried has been great. Now if they only had beers or margaritas…

really good food, I had 2 crunchy tacos, nothing really big about it, but i also had a burger, and that was pretty tasty, so are the fries, the steak del carbon tacos are what got me, very good tacos, my wife said the nachos were’nt all that, tha caramel cheesecake bites were just as good, yeah we’ll b goin back…

In addition to the expected Tex-​Mex fast food fare, there’s a surprise here: Funnel cake fries! Say what? Yes, it’s that delicious batter, shaped like french fries, served with a fantastic frosting to dip in. Get some, you won’t be sorry.
Oh, that’s right, they have Tex-​Mex stuff, too. :) I tried the Monster burrito and a chicken taco; both were very good. The burrito is freakin’ huge! If there was a knock, it’s like most such items in that the ingredients aren’t well distributed, so you get «pockets» of veggie, beans, meat etc. Flavorwise, it was quite good.
All in all, a good fast food meal, but made especially so by those fries!

I am a huge fan of Taco Casa, but after having their tacos, i am tempted by the fruit of another!
These little tacos are great and at $.49 cents a piece, they can’t be beat.
oh and try their milkshakes.
