This place never disappoints. This is a great place to study and equally a great place to hang out. The smoothies are bomb, the shakes and yummy and the coffee is always perfect. Might I recommend a breakfast sandwich with your coffee! They are super friendly and hip! Favorite coffee shop in Denton.

Yeah… I’m never coming back here again and I gave them several chances. This time I sprained my ankle and was on crutches. I ordered a latte and sat down at a table to wait. They called my order out, I got on my crutches and went up the the counter. The barista said my drink was on the other end of the counter and then ignored me. I hobbled to the other end of the counter, and nobody offered to help me get my drink. I held my crutches in one hand, a hot latte in another, and hopped on one foot to my table. Seriously? I’ve seen people bring drinks to perfectly healthy patrons at their tables. I even tipped. I can’t believe how awful they are here with their service. There was only one other patron waiting to be served, and the two baristas just couldn’t be bothered.

Only came for the coffee and thats all I need. I went all fancy and got their Jupiter’s Nectar but I like their coffee beans. This place is also huge. I have debated about going to just study in there. You could probably stretch out and take a nap on the tables.

Great coffee shop in the Denton downtown square. Outdoor seating is very limited(and coveted) but is so great for people watching if you can grab a space. Lots of standard and unique drinks that the friendly baristas will gladly make for you– coffees, teas, smoothies, etc. They have fresh pastries as well! Interior is very good, keeping a lot of the building’s history.

While most caffeine joints are embracing the«hip café» movement, Jupiter House resists this trend and instead, represents everything one could want from a coffee shop. This coffee place never fails to put a smile on my face. Great spot to meet up with friends but equally a great spot to study or get some work done. The baristas are friendly and very knowledgeable. Did I say they were friendly? You’re not going to find prima donna baristas here who look down on you if you have coffee questions or raise an eye brow if you ask for a Starbucks drink. Highly recommend this place!

This coffeehouse is 100% amazing from the«Be Kind to the Hipsters» sign to the espresso milkshakes. Yes, coffee milkshakes. I had one because vacation and calories don’t count, dang it. It was so good. The hipsters behind the counter were super-nice and also patient with us. They made my milkshake really fast, so the wait time seems pretty minimal. It’s right on the square in Denton, and it has comfy couches and plenty of tables for your work or board game play. It’s definitely not overly quiet inside, so bring headphones if you want to work.

I love this place! They have a different flavored drip coffee everyday. What draws me to this place is the ‘Dentonite’ culture one can experience only in the early morning. Other high points include the wide pub tables, low lighting, happy staff, and local artist display. An important factor to a great coffee spot is wifi. This wifi is on point. *I usually enjoy a small coffee and a cinnamon walnut muffin. So good!

Apparently this is the best place for members of District 4 to meet with their councilman Joey Hawkins since he doesn’t return constituent phone calls. This according to his own word. Coffee is still burnt.

I actually love everything about this coffee house. From its downtown Denton Square location, hipster/trendy atmosphere, awesome customer service, excellent product, as well as relaxed décor. What’s not to love about Jupiter House? While I haven’t tried the Wifi with my tablet/laptop as of yet(I heard its slow during busy hours), the Wifi signal from my phone was at 4G. Parking seems to be a bit limited in front of the store, yet there is always parking areas on the side of the building as well as within the areas closest to the Wells Fargo office building. Plenty of seating within this venue, which is one of the more noticeable things, next to the various pieces of artwork. One of the largest coffee houses that I’ve ever seen that isn’t a corporate chain. Other than the standard tables and bar chairs, there are also a couple of couches available to relax on. There is also additional outdoor seating(particularly for you smokers), yet good luck with that during the winter and summer months! Aside from the coffee and traditional snack products, Jupiter House also makes fruit smoothies and other healthy alternatives. Jupiter House, where have you been all of my life? Will definitely be back next time in Little D!

I go here to study and do homework, and the coffee is okay. It’s basically Starbucks but I’m not complaining. The baristas have made me feel uncomfortable repeatedly over the last two years I’ve gone here. Half of the time they don’t call out orders so you sit the waiting for 20 minutes. Half the time, they forget to make my order and I have to ask them again. Or, they get my order wrong. They couldn’t seem any less interested and they rush you to order. They come off rude a lot of the time, but maybe it’s just the«I don’t care about anything» hipster attitude lol

Jupiter house had been a Denton square staple for many many years and as such I believe they have become so comfortable in their nook that they’ve stopped worrying about what makes them worth going to. Not too long ago there were no other coffee shops for them to compete with, they had the monopoly and they didn’t need to worry about things like customer service or prices, but those days have passed, please someone tell Jupiter house! These guys are still serving sub par drinks at $ 5 a pop and only half the time do I even get a smile from my barista. They never make recommendations, I never see specials, and they’re still set up for the student crowd when I mainly see business meetings happening. I want Jupiter house to succeed, really, but I think they need something to set them apart. And if they want my business in the future, they need it soon.

I want to start out by saying I think Jupiter house is alittle overrated. I do like the environment, perfect place to get some studying done. And the location is cute and on the square so that’s cool. I think their prices are little steep specially their ice coffee and no discount refills. Dang it. But they ALWAYS have awesome little treats to snack on like awesome flavors of muffins and cookies and such. They always have AWESOME smoothies and shakes. Their mocha milkshake honestly is liquid cocaine. It is soooo gewd.

The smell of this place is divine. Service is super friendly. Food is good and coffee is outstanding. It’s a great place to study, read, or hang out with friends. Love the atmosphere and the cozy atmosphere. All the patrons seem happy and friendly. Would definitely come back.

Cute coffee shop off locust in Denton. It is much roomier than it looks from the outside. They also offer pastries inside the coffee shop. I wouldn’t recommend the iced chain because it’s premade, so your money would be better spent on the brewed coffees. Great place to stop to study or hang out with friends.

The atmosphere here is great. Inside: It is not loud, they play good music and they have a full coffee bar set up. For non coffee drinkers they have several alternate choices. If hungry, they sell local made fresh baked goods and have a few easy make breakfast items. Jupiter House is set up for people to hang out and visit or study while enjoying your beverage choice. Tall bar type tables and stools or regular tables and chairs, if you prefer a chairback to lean against. They have an electric strip down each wall so if you need a plug you are set. Or you can just sit comfy on the couch. Plenty room for everyone. Outside: Jupiter House is on the Square, East side of the Historic Courthouse(built 1896). Out door seating is available and most always being utilized. The people who come here are also small town friendly. I love to come here to study or just meet up with my friends.

I love this location right on the square it makes for a cozy date place because they have couches and usually back ground music which keeps from awkward silences. I also come here to study, with free wifi and tall tables I can study for a really long time, the music keeps me focused but not distracted and if I get tired of sitting, the tables are the perfect height for standing. Prices are great also! They have a $ 1.00 bring a cup refill policy thing too(I’ve never used it because I prefer the caramel frapp but my friends do).

I’ve only been here once, but once was enough. After waiting for almost fifteen minutes in a five person line to order, I told the guy at the counter my order and was received with a gruff and callous«okay.» He went to start my drink and after coming back, proceeded to skip over my friend(who had been patiently waiting with me for the past quarter of an hour) and start taking the order of the person behind us. She spoke up, but it was just one more thing that added to an already unpleasant experience. Coffee came out about five minutes later. My iced Jupiter drink of some sort was lukewarm and was just okay. My girlfriend’s house coffee was just plain bad and tasted like it had been sitting out for a while. Probably on par with coffee you’d get out of the shared coffee pot in the office about half an hour after it was brewed. The cherry on top of our mediocre experience was the fact that the girl working behind the counter started stacking chairs fifty minutes before closing time. Basically, any table that wasn’t currently occupied got chairs stacked on top of it. Two stars for the quality of the coffee and zero stars for this place’s service average out to this review’s one star rating. I took a picture of the place about ten minutes after the chairs got stacked(so, 40 minutes before they closed) and once I figure out how to post a picture using the Unilocal app on my phone it will be posted here so you see the welcoming environment that greeted everyone who came to the place within the last 40 minutes of business hours.

They are consistently good, both in service and in food/drinks. I’m particular to their pastry and muffin collection here(and, yes, they offer some tasty looking vegan alternatives as well)! The WIFI is free, which is fairly standard nowadays, but important nonetheless. I typically order the smoothies here, and have yet to be disappointed. The layout is spacious and especially conducive to studying, laptops and the like(room to spread out a bit). I like that they also offer outdoor seating, two or three four-top tables outside. I typically frequent Jupiter House when I am in Denton, and I would certainly recommend them if you’re new in town it just haven’t yet had the pleasure!
