Everything is 100% natural, no chemicals, unprocessed, melts in your mouth! Sweetest lady runs the place. They have a great business philosophy. Highly recommend

I have been here a few times and am always extremely happy with the candy, coffee, and service. The lady at the front is always helpful and knowledgeable about their inventory and is always patient. I went in to get some chocolate for my girlfriend who was coming back to town after a weekend away, and they helped me pick out some great stuff. My girlfriend ended up cheating on me while out of town, so I ate the chocolate myself and it was delicious.

A small shop with a small, but good, selection. Almost a third of the chocolate is sugar free for diabetics and such. Staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable.

Chocolates were great. especially the sugar free items. Owner was a mix of friendly and impatient… perhaps I came in close to closing. Better than the other places we have been to, though.

The candy and coffee at The Candy Store are great, the customer service… not so much. The older woman(owner) refused to let us, usual customers, use the bathroom. It’s a small thing, but she was really rude about it, insisting there was no bathroom for the«public.» We won’t be going back.

One of the first places I went to when I first moved to Denton 3 years ago, I fell in love with this shop, it has my three loves: chocolate, cola and coffee. how can you go wrong? YOUCANTBEATTHIS? I am obsessed with the orange cremes and Heavenly Hash, I go here once a week at least(not joking) love!

Small, cute, and quaint! This little shop that sells handmade chocolates and gourmet coffee is very old fashioned downtown. Got a chocolate bear for me and my bear, very yummy. The lady was really sweet too.

excellent hand dipped chocolates… you won’t find any other places like this around the area. she gets her chocolates specially made from people who have been doing this for generations, and you can taste it.

Only made a quick stop in here to check it out. We weren’t looking for a big treat and when my boyfriend and I each asked for 1 chocolate piece and didn’t have cash(no credit if less than a few dollars) the owner gave them to us for free. We felt bad and on hearing about the coffee my boyfriend picked some up and yet she still gave us the chocolate for free. My caramel chocolate was delicious and so was the cluster. AND my boyfriend LOVES the coffee(I don’t drink coffee) — will definitely be getting coffee beans from there from now on. So nice and local– a downtown home feel too that was great. Will be back again for sure!

This place is small and quaint. I like! Every time I’m showing around new people or guests, or even every time I walk on the square, The Candy Store’s one of my spots to visit. Whether it be because I want to buy a piece of chocolate, want some candy, grab a drink, or even to smell the fresh aroma of the many different coffees, here I am! The place has got a nice«Denton» feel to it, and the employees and owner here are super friendly and helpful. I loveeee coming back here again and again.

Like 50 cent says/sings… I’ll take you to the candy shop. No really I will take you to the candy shop and you will love it. My bestie and I have been coming here for a total of nine-ish years.(Holy poop-I’m old.) We wandered in on a random trip to the square when we were wee little freshmen at UNT. On these random(are they random if you do them once a year for nine-ish years?) trips we stop into the antique mini mall, Loop Hole, the purple record shop and of course The Candy Store. I don’t care how bad a day I might be having, if you take me to the Candy Store my eyes will light up like a Christmas Tree. Actually, that would be kind of creepy and scary since one would be green and the other would be red. Okay how about this one: My eyes would light up like a little Billy’s did on Christmas day when he saw that little red scooter sitting underneath the tree. Better? What am I talking about? Right. Candy. The sweet, sweet owners here have lots of that. Assorted truffles, pralines, chocolate covered everything’s and more sit behind the glass counter praying to be the next piece picked up by an excited shopper. Though I love their candy and chocolate, this is not why I come here. Walk to the back of the small shop and you will find a couple coffee pots. The Snickerdoodle coffee is THEBEST coffee in the world. I will fight you if you say anything different. Okay no I won’t. But I’ll show you my big sharp teeth. Trust me you’ll love it.(The coffee – not my teeth.) Please support this place. It’s such a treasure on the square and I am sad that I don’t get to visit more often. The people are so genuine, friendly and thankful when you walk through that door plus they have a great product! It’s nice to pick a couple truffles and chat with the owner while you wait for your Snickerdoodle to cool down. Promise to come back next year as you stroll out of the door hearing the clanging of the bell as you leave, then walk with your bestie through the rest of the square with huge satisfied grins on your faces. This is fun.
