Small hole in the wall near twu campus near the train track, nice service with some of the fastest cooked food I know of. Food was about $ 7 for a plate of breakfast with rather large portions. Only issue is that the place is tiny, but the food is worth it.

This is the type of place I love! It’s clean, local with GREAT food and super reasonable pricing. My boyfriend and I got 4 burritos under $ 10. It doesn’t get any better than that. Mother and daughter ran and very friendly with quick service! May visit while in Denton.

After a week in Denton I unpacked, got cable and found Veronica’s. The menudo seasoning is AMAZING — onion-​y and garlic-​y, comino, Mexican oregano and a nice salty heat kicker. It takes an experienced hand to develop tasty, bright flavors in a heavy, slow braised tripe stew. Seriously. Most cooks end up closer to bitter and salty than happy deliciousness, and did I say just the right amount of hominy? The two breakfast taquitos — meh, but I was pretty full already. Fantastic tortillas — next time I will definitely get some to go. Twice while I was there they asked «anyone here for a phone order?» so you don’t have to wait to get to the front when your order is ready to go. The few tables are more for waiting than eating. Highly recommend.

Made a quick detour for lunch this morning and was very impressed with the flavor of their lunch tacos! The green sauce is delicious! Will definitely be back soon!

Went here today for lunch very good authentic food. Small small place 3 tables sits 8 to 10 people tops.

This place is about as authentic as it gets. Small menu selection but everything on it is AMAZING. I would highly recommend the barbacoa tacos, the meat is extremely moist and is an excellent combo with Veronica’s verde sauce. The only down side to Veronica’s is that there are no set hours and you never really know when it’s going to be opened or closed.

Great caldo de res soup. A little crazy at lunch but worth it. (If you don’t want to wait a long time or have to take the food to go, get there early.)

Excellent food and service! I don’t speak much Spanish and ordered in English no problem– I even ordered a combination not listed on the menu without trouble. It is small but it’s clean and homey– only complaint is it was about 80 degrees inside. I will certainly be back!

Awesome food, great prices, best tortillas you can find… Check out the Carne Con Chile, it is amazing. Only 3 tables, but usually can get a seat decently quick. Once you eat here you’re addicted. If you want to just grab to go breakfast tacos you can’t go wrong either.

The food is excellent just two issues they don’t give any cilantro or onion with your tacos which is blasphemous when it comes to mexican food and if you ask for you might get yelled in Spanish lol

Veronica’s is awesome for authentic Mexican food made by Veronica herself! Breakfast tacos are the best in town as far as I’m concerned. Lots of filling choices for tacos. Very friendly service and reasonable prices. The place is tiny and lunch crowd can be pretty big but service moves quickly and it’s worth the wait if you want the real Mexi deal. Clean and well run little place and food is always fresh and flavorful. Great!

Great food and the people are nice. There are only three tables, so you’re lucky to get a seat. It’s mostly Spanish speaking though i get by fine with only English. Both the lunch and breakfast tacos are delicious, and I enjoyed the tacos here much more than at Taco Lady.

I give this place 5 stars for the food. The breakfast tacos are awesome! But, the place is tiny, has no air conditioning, and little seating. Plus, it is only open until 3pm.

Simply delicious home-​cooked Mexican food. Best to have Spanish speaking skill when going in, and know that there are only three tables and it is truly a dive with no place to stand and wait. Reasonable prices. Great for take-​out, breakfast tacos, simple lunch, etc. Four stars for the food and friendly people, loss of one star for the dive nature of the place and logistics of being busy.
