Had my birthday here! They reserved a huge table up front for me. The wait staff was on it all night. The food is overpriced mediocre Mexican but it’s nice to be able to eat something when you get that drunk off of 3 bottles of champagne. The booze are really inexpensive. Wish the DJ was a little more fun and wouldn’t have given a specific friend of mine bad looks all night … Even after he tipped well, but he played a lot of my songs so whatever lol the bathroom is small, street parking only, and don’t park at the bar next door or u will get towed. WILLGOAGAIN. They have a HUGE collection of songs. Only 4 stars because the food was meh and the DJ could be more lively and it’s full of Justin BEIBER tweens that scream in groups of 5+ before 10pm

Our group that met up here had such a great time. None of us really sing but it didn’t matter. We were in the upstairs area and had some of the best service in Denver. Our waitress was so attentive, nice and quick with refills, clearing the table and SO unbelievably patient on such a crowded busy night. The food was decent as well though I only tried the wings and nachos. No complaints from anyone who ordered food though we were not really here to eat. I am definitely a bit of a margarita snob and was pleasantly surprised. I don’t drink Jose Cuervo so had them substitute the tequila with another. I really love that they don’t have premade margs. Each is hand created so was able to request no simple syrup(and of course the tequila substitution). If you want a great fun place to hangout that is super casual and friendly GOHERE!

This place is fun because of the karaōke nights! They have a HUGE selection of songs and they can play most of the popular songs not on the list. It gets pretty busy before 7 since that’s when the happy hour ends so if you don’t want a huge crowd come after then. The food was decent mexican food but I would come back for the entertainment over that. Also just a tip there is a parking lot right next to it if you don’t want to park on the street.

Ignore all the reviews saying you have to tip to sing. The place can get busy so, yea, you may have to wait your turn. And Tipping is something you should do for the KJs anyway. Do you not tip your bartender? This place is so much fun! The food is great. The drinks are cheap. Ate the singers are equal parts talented and terrible! My favorite karaōke place in Denver.

«Don’t Stop Believing» that you can have a good, cheap time in Denver. «Maybe I’m Amazed,» but there really aren’t many places where you can hang out all night with friends and do some karaōke, eat some good food and have cheap drinks. «Ice Ice Baby» that’s what you buy for $ 20 and get five«free» Coronas… a pretty good deal in my opinion for larger groups. «You Oughta Know» there are much better places for Mexican food. The food is okay but hardly the point of Armida’s. «Wake Me Up Before You Go Go» to Armida’s and I’ll join you for a silly group rendition of «Love Shack.»

This place is a complete joke! The waiters/waitresses do not know how to get orders right. They screwed up our drinks, food and check(OFCOURSE they would!) When I told them they were overcharging me, she got very upset at me and threw money down on the table and said«there! are you happy!»…The owner then got involved and started screaming at us. NEVERAGAIN!!! KEEPAWAYFROMTHISPLACE!!!

Had a great time here! Singing at such an altitude was a trip but overall it was fun. Very crowded and a good Karaōke DJ made it fun. Don’t expect to sing a lot because there are LOTS of singers!

DJ told us «you gotta pay to play, what ya gonna do for me». Stating you need to tip him in order to sing one song, we didn’t tip and had to wait 3 hours until our name was called. Bartenders were nice but the DJ sucked for making us wait 3hrs, random girls were called up after sitting there for five minutes… Lame And the sound system had very poor quality, if you are 5 feet away you hear the singers voice, if more than that… good luck. I hate being negative we spent $ 50 at the bar, that’s worry of at least one song, and as a karaōke lover this place is not for people who wish to sing and have fun, it’s dirty, unorganized and to be treated like shiz because you didn’t tip the DJ is LAME. Place sucks, that’s it that’s all.

Remodeled in the style of the neighborhood but better sound. Such a great place. Get here early to sing and happy hour.

A friend lives very close to this divey karaōke bar. It is a really interesting experience especially on the weekend when they have a DJ outside as well as the karaōke upstairs and down. It has a large concrete patio above from street level, and I really enjoyed chilling on that during the hot summer months. The staff is friendly. The karaōke crowd definitely likes to party. This is so popular that it often takes a while to get up and make an ass out of yourself, or rock the karaōke mic. On the weekend, I would estimate an hour wait. Food is highly edible, but nothing special. I was not big on the chile cheese fries, but they will do in a pinch. They have 2 happy hours, one early and then a late night. The mozzarella sticks, are pretty standard, and always a great drinking buffer. The crowd is pretty diverse, from teeny bobbers, to old men, everyone is welcome.

Just happened to stumble upon this place. I saw the word«karaōke» and the Asian in me had to check it out. Definitely felt at home in an instant. We’re talking two floors of karaōke. First floor seemed a lot more spacious and mellow. Upstairs is where we planted ourselves. Much smaller space. Had its own bar. Crowd was young but everyone was singing along to the songs and no one was acting like a jerk. Service was quick. Drinks were inexpensive. There just happened to be a Saturday night happy hour(there’s a nightly happy hour!). Ordered the green chili with queso dip and nacho chips. Had a bit of a kick to it. Seemed like it was mixed with some pinto beans, cheese and salsa. Overall, had a blast.

We had a 800am flight and wanted to go out someplace local, well close to the hotel. This place was such a find. It was hopping. People in this bar like to get down. This was a fun place, quick service, 2 floors of karaōke. Saturday happy hour, and the green chilli with queso dip did the trick.

HORRIBLEPLACE. I have never been treated in such a hateful way. The general manger Mark was inappropriate and rude to me and my friends. I will never go to this place again. Here are some recommendations for other karaōke places in Denver: –Charlie Brown’s –Family Karaōke –El Charrito

Almost always a good crowd every night of the week. Drinks are inexpensive and the nachos are the best I’ve ever had. They layer them and have them inside of a deep fried shell. I will come here just to get those. Definitely an item to be shared, they’re huge! The bartenders are always nice, but the DJ is a burner who won’t play your song for hours. I haven’t been there to often to know if he’s favoring the regulars or what. If you eventually ask him when you’re going up, he will tell you a lot sooner than he’s actually going to call you. For a good place to WATCH karaōke during the week, go here. But if you want to sing, maybe just wait for another night and go somewhere else. I forgot to mention that the mics are no good. You can’t hear anything out of them. Allegedly you have to get very close to it because of the kind of mics that they are, but who wants to have their lips up close and touching where another drunk stranger had theirs?!

Fun for Karaōke… ’nuff said. Otherwise, it’s dive central. Get it? Got it? Good.

You know… This rowdy bar is for the right place at the right time. Meaning — you’ve got to really want to be around people that like to party and drunkingly sing classics from Sinatra to Salt-N-Peppa. Considering the rowdy bunch — our server remained cool, calm, and collective while we just danced, drank, and sang away. Sure, the restaurant-turned-bar-at-night isn’t where you take someone to impress them with just how awesome Denver is, but it certainly is a place you take someone to let off some steam. The darkness of the bar certainly contributes to the divey feel of the bar. It’s definitely not the underbelly, seedy side of town, but more of an eccentric place to visit when you want to make memories. The beer prices are fair, the karaōke conductor could stand to be nicer and not take up people’s paying time by singing songs himself, and the fun is unforgettable.

Armida’s is where I learned that my rendition of «Motown Philly,» which I «sang» on a stage and into a mic, does not mirror how it sounds in my car or shower. Thank you, Armida’s, for erasing my hopes of becoming a singer/song-writer.(I almost banked my future on that profession.) It was a kind reminder that my singing couldn’t save my mother, if that situation ever arrived.(Hopefully, not.) ***** After you climb their steep steps to the front entrance, you’ll find a cozy and bumpin’ karaōke dive. Their drinks won’t cause any surprising damage to your wallet, and they’ll get you plenty-o-drunk. I had enough to keep me happy(well, at least enough for me to sing Motown Philly). They also helped encourage my co-workers to do things I would usually never see them do(e.g. like my homegirl do cartwheels in front of the stage or homeboy sing Ray Charles). Regarding the karaōke, if you’re looking to strut your stuff on the mic, there are several songbooks floatin’ around that you can peruse through; however, the KJ warned us «they only have 5% of his collection.» He pretty much has every song. Ever. More about the KJ, while he does beautifully hit high octaves like Justin Timberlake and can make some honies swoon, I thought he was a bit of a buzz kill. For example, I understand that safety concerns may exist with drunken ladies standing on chairs while they cheering on their homegirls or mics being dragged out into the crowd, but his messaging was a bit too harsh. I was so close to giving Armida’s five-stars, yo. Not to mention, he went on every five to eight songs or so and catered to the home crowd. Anyways, I’ll be pumped if I ever return to Armida’s. And if I do, I plan on spitting Biggie’s «Juicy» word-for-word.

First off I will say this was a 5 star night! Karaōke with friends is always a great way to let loose after a long day of work! And our work team knows how to bring it behind the mic! As far as our destination goes… Armida’s is a cool bar with a Mexican food menu and drink specials every night! When we arrived around 9:30 on a Thursday night it was pretty dead, but our party of 10 suddenly flipped the bar upside down. As we scrambled to choose our selections, I choose a Frank Sinatra tune I have never done before! This is usually scary for me even though I have been behind a microphone a few times before. I warn you, if karaōke get’s you amped up and you really want to perform this is not the bar to bring you inner MICKJAGGER out, aka the karaōke host does not want you off the 2 foot by 3 foot stage, on chairs, or putting on a show! I know this from experience as I was WARNED during both of my performances. I suddenly found out he only wants you to stand on the stage and sing, and heck he will even sing back up for you on his own mic from the booth. One thing that bugs me about Karaōke places is when the host does a song about every 7 songs, even though there are now 30 people on a waiting list to sing! This happens here too. But to give the guy credit he had a great voice. All and all the staff was nice, the drinks were a great price, and they had lots of songs to choose from, even more then were in the books! I felt kinda stupid getting in trouble for trying to up my performance level, but as Frank Sinatra would say… «I did it my way!»

From what I understand there are not a lot of places in Denver to sing Karaōke every and any night of the week and on that commitment alone I will give you all the stars. They have some high level karaōke game, big books with a KJ who wants you to know that he has access to way more songs then in those plasticy pages. Cheap drinks, super friendly cool staff, a couple of screens with lyrics(though they sometimes play the weirdly censored versions of songs — like they didn’t censor the N-word but they did change a Jesus lyric? Boggles this northerners mind. Boggled.) The regulars who rocked the stage when were here were the best, so funny and friendly and kind. The mics are those beautiful vintage-looking ones that make it awkward to do some of your best karaōke dance moves but look cool in photos. All in all, I loved it here and would love to come back.

After a long day of learning, I went back to my hotel room and drank a couple of cans of wine with a couple of friends. Then I went to a tasty dinner with more friends and we had some more wine, this time in glasses. The next natural step to this evening was karaōke. Alas, I am only willing to drink at bars where my server has my name tattooed* on them… so Armida’s it was. This place is a well-loved, properly worn bar. I have no idea what it’s like in here during the day and I don’t care. I know that their song book is large and in charge and the MC has even more songs than are printed on the sweet, sweet laminated pages. Dancing on tables is not encouraged, but is damn funny. *Yes, you read that correctly. My bartender was branded with my name. Thank you to Tiffany N for arranging this in advance(per my rider).
