I vow to never eat here again. All in all, the risk is not worth the return. The Bubba Chinos by my house was shut down. This location has a new employee every time I go there. They all seem shady and my food is hit or miss. There was a time where my egg + potato burrito had OLD egg in it. I almost barfed. Also, he added sausage. It was really awkward to have an old egg in my burrito, plus a long strip of sausage. Gross. I am afraid I will get food poisoning from this one day. The location by my old place was shady too. Just all around, weird place. They should restructure their business model, hire reliable employees and maybe increase the quality of their food. Quite frankly, I’m ashamed to admit to my friends that I eat there. Because everyone knows what a rut it is. There is no substitute for the original Chubby’s. Never will be.

Shredded beef burrito, unfriendly guy behind the window was confused as to why I didn’t want it smothered. I got the green chile inside for $ 1 more and lettuce and tomatoes for $ 2 more. Making for an $ 8 burrito. Disappointed in the chile, not much flavor, the cheese appears to be Velveeta or something like it. Shredded beef was tender but not much flavor. There are way better burritos for less money in Lakewood.

We get breakfast burritos here often. Sometimes they are really good, other times not so much. Sometimes they are grilled and then the next one(in the same order) is not. Sometimes they are big, sometimes 2 – 3 bites does the trick. Would be a solid 4 – 5 stars if they were more CONSISTANT.

The guy behind the window was utterly unwelcoming. We waited for a long time for the food to come out, and some of it was cold. My chicken taco was bland, cold, and the shell was stale. Both burritos we got were wrapped terribly with things spilling out. My husband got a steak burrito which had overly chewy steak inside and nothing else. I got a breakfast burrito and it was okay, though I did not finish it. My husband also got a hamburger and he thought this was okay, but only if you like overcooked cheap hamburgers, which I do not. Have some pride in the work that you do. Send out food that tastes great and have employees who actually act like they want to be there. And? The prices here are tooooo high. Way better deals all over Denver and Lakewood with far better food than this. I will not be back.

This location just opened up on Colfax in Lakewood. Wish we had read the reviews of some of the other locations before we went, because it was absolutely terrible and overpriced! Everything was store bought, right down to the salsa that tasted exactly like Pace. Here’s what we got: Smothered Steak Burrito: $ 7.50! All it had in it was«steak»(more like stew meat). That’s it. Then topped with chile that tasted like cardboard and cheese that I was pretty sure was Velveeta. Chipoltle is better! Don’t know if I’ve ever said that in my life. Hopefully never will again. Chicken Tacos: $ 2.50 each. Hard shells that looked like they came from the Safeway across the street, unseasoned chicken that looked like those bags of precooked chicken you can get at the grocery store, lettuce, and MOREVELVEETA! Chips and Guac: $ 6. I was expecting a huge amount of chips for the price– only got a small amount. Chips tasted like they were actually made there and the only saving grace to the whole horrible meal. But not worth $ 6. Especially since the guac was obviously squirted out of a bag into the container we received it in, and tasted like mayo, food coloring, and a teeny tiny amount of avocado. Ugh, I rarely write bad reviews, but this was especially upsetting since we’re short on cash right now. As much as I love supporting local businesses, we would have been better off going to Taco Bell, spent less money, and would have had less of a stomach ache after! That says alot!
