This place is horribly managed. They clearly do not have any kind of system. I sat there waiting to order my food for 5 minutes with 5 employees running around. Then after I ordered I noticed about 15 people standing around waiting for their food. This is not worth a 30 minute wait. They need to get a new system and new employees. Horrible horrible service.

I should’ve read the reviews before I came here. I would have to agree with a lot of the people on here, their customer service is terrible! I came in here wanting to get a baker’s dozen, which I didn’t order ahead of time, but figured how hard can it be to put bagels into a box. First off, when I walked in none of the employees greeted me and none of them seemed interested in helping me out. I noticed there were hardly any bagels in their case at 8 in the morning. You would think they would better prepare on a Friday morning knowing this is a hot spot with all the business surrounding it. When I walked up to place my order the cashier, who had no personality and hardly even said hello, told me I had to go to the other counter to be taken care of. I’m thinking«OK that’s fine, they probably have a system in place to help make things move faster». So I walk over to the other counter where another employee is helping a gentlemen with a bakers dozen so I assumed I was in the right place. Now keep in mind at this point there is no one else waiting on an order in the restaurant. Once the employee was done helping the gentleman in front of me, she doesn’t even acknowledge I’m standing there nor do any of the other 3 employees behind the counter not doing much of anything, maybe cleaning after the morning rush, I don’t know. She then proceeds to walk to the back of the store leaving me standing there for a few moments and at that point I had enough and I walked out of the store. One of the employees came outside to my car because I hadn’t left yet, I was looking for another place to get donuts or something, and asked if I still wanted my baker’s dozen. I explained I hadn’t ordered it yet and just wanted to do something nice for my co-workers. I did agree to come back in and she let me choose some gourmet bagels at no extra charge, which I assume is more because their inventory was low, but she wasn’t apologetic, or trying to turn my experience around other than not charging me extra. As a person who has worked in retail and teaches classes in Customer Service for the National Retail Federation, there is no doubt they completely failed. I will never go back to this location, next time I’ll just stop somewhere else.

Einstein Bros Bagels never seem to disappoint! They are an excellent breakfast brunch palace with delectable choices of fruit, cream cheese, yogurt, bread, pastries, refreshing orange or apple juice, and of course: coffee and bagels. They do, however carry an excellent variety of flavored bagels and dessert. The ideal breakfast bunch had delicious cranberry filled bread pastry with a side of quench able orange juice and a sip of light mocha coffee with a pint of extra sugar. I personally believe every Einstein Bros Bagels are close to perfection, when it comes to serving their customers in need of a wakening fulfilled morning by their scrumptious, menu food items!

We asked them to fix one thing and they fixed it, then there’s the second thing wrong with the order and then a third thing. Extra cream Chz — no. Double toasted — not toasted at all. No capers — capers everywhere. This happens over and over again. This place sucks

Went to this location today, on a holiday(MLK Day), so it was extremely slow. There were 4 people working and one other person actually dining in. Do you know how many clean tables there were? Exactly ZERO. Trash and crumbs everywhere. I wetted a napkin to clean off a spot for myself. I was there for over a half hour, and do you know how many tables were cleaned while I was there? Exactly ZERO. One of the employees actually took her break and read her tablet at one of the dirty tables. They also messed up my order and were out of potato salad on this very«busy» day. I like Einstein’s, but will never return to this location based on how gross it was.

Last time I was here it was great!(Roughly 3 weeks ago) I don’t come here often, because it’s a special treat for me to eat such Carb-y food. However, today I ordered the same thing as usual and got a completely different product. I ordered the tasty turkey sandwich with a cup of fruit on the side. My fruit cup was mostly pineapple, one grape, and one piece of melon that I’m pretty sure was just the rind. So I thought«no big deal it’s just the side. Whatever. » but then I opened my sandwich, and there’s no pickle! «Hm that’s lame», then there’s no tomato on the sandwich either! So I just paid over seven dollars for a bagel with turkey lettuce and single slice of cucumber with a side of pineapple. They were not busy, I was greeted immediately and my order was taken and fulfilled quickly.(well no wonder she was barely putting anything in it!) I don’t usually care enough to write reviews, but this is such a special thing for me that it was very disappointing to not get my usual to go order. I think the staff was too busy socializing with each other to make my sandwich correctly. If you order from here, please make sure you check your bag before you leave!

Each and every time I’m here the place is uinderstaffed. It is a real shame because the customer flow is heavy and this shop COULD be super profitable. I only ever stop in if I know I’ve got an extra 10 minutes to stand in line. The employees are a mixed breed of super nice and friendly, along with some pretty cold and unhelpful staff.

I work around the corner and every couple of times I go in there is an all new Staff and they never know what they are doing. Today I waited in line for 15 min when I finally got to the front, the cashier left to go make coffee and then another person went to the«other» cash register and started ringing up people at the back of the line, it was ridiculous. Horrible service!!!

Always a ridiculously long wait in the mornings. Negates the delicious bagels if you’re getting to work 15 minutes late. Updated: tried this location one more time and the gang banger looking guy making my bagel didn’t know which container had garlic herb vs plain cream cheese. Had to drive back to the store and then the owner wasn’t even apologetic they got my order wrong. Their customer service is non-existent! Happy to drive out of my way to go to another Einstein’s now

For a friendly, clean & special treat, go to THIS Einstein Bros location. My morning visit was pleasant & the two young ladies were gracious. A stark contrast to the shop on Alameda & Logan — that location & staff need additional training in all aspects of customer service.

Staff here is always extremely friendly, extremely early in the morning,(wish I could be the same way). They’d benefit from having one more person working, as there is a lot of running around and trying to keep up with all the orders that flood in.

These guys suck so bad. They had one chick making bagels today who was extremely slow. When the line was so backed up, finally someone came out to help her. On top of that, they can’t even toast a bagel properly. It took them 10 minutes to get me a plain bagel toasted with butter… I got it back and it wasn’t even toasted and I’m a little annoyed. This happens to me every time I go there.

This Einstein is SEVERELY understaffed. Right now I am waiting for my order along with 6 other people. On a Wednesday. Managment should prepare for the morning rush. Very disappointing. Will likely not return.

The bagels are typically very good here. They toast them the perfect amount and use the right amount of cream cheese. One thing that drives me crazy at this place is they make you order at one cash register and check out at another. This is so very inefficient, especially when it’s busy. But when it’s slow, it’s just silly. I would recommend this place based on food quality but their sales process is a mess.

Ouch… it took 30 minutes to get 2 bagel sandwiches. The were understaffed and totally unprepared for a rush right before football started on Sunday morning. 35+ people in the restaurant and 3 employees working(2 of which were handling the registers). Probably won’t be back unless I have some time to kill.

Fresh new location. The layout for ordering food is clumsy and od, but the bagels are very good and fresh. I had a strawberry lemonade and breakfast bagel hot fresh and quick. Warning heavy hobo area approach form the south, the north entrance has hustlers and panhandlers.
