I love it when Toro is on campus! I had the Toro burger with the cheesy tots. The burger was beyond delicious!!! The tots were kind of bland but an interesting concept. I think next time I’ll try the bacon and cheddar tots for additional flavor. Overall great food and you should definitely try it!

Holy tots batman!!! These aren’t just everyday tots… Even the«plain» ones are unique and fun with a mix of potato and sweet potato. The filled ones are decadent and so unique. I had a burger with tots that tasted like a baked burrito — it was wonderful! The burger was great too. 2 people eating for under $ 20 is a steal. This food truck is worth following all around town.

My boyfriend and I discovered El Toro at Civic Center Eats over the summer and quickly found ourselves hooked on their unique burgers. The flavor combinations and fresh ingredients really set their menu apart, and the tater tots are truly something else(crack…they are crack). We were so excited to hear that they decided to do a pop-up location through the end of the year, and we were determined to get there at least once! We finally made it to their location tonight. We were in a bit of a hurry, so we made use of their online ordering system. It went smoothly, and our food was ready shortly after we arrived. Our waitress was lovely, brought us drinks and utensils, and made sure we were taken care of. I got the chicken burger — something I don’t recall seeing on the food truck menu. It was excellent! The aged cheddar, barbecue sauce and pickles were perfect. It wasn’t greasy at all, and the house salad that I ordered to accompany it was amazing! I loved the combination of thinly sliced pears, greens, manchego, and lemon vinaigrette, and the nuts added the perfect crunch. I also got to sample my boyfriend’s Spanish blue burger with cured ham. Had I known how delicious the ham was, I would have gotten some on mine as well. I have no idea how the heck they make their tots, but they’re magically, scary good. I kept stealing them off his plate. The owner recognized us from Civic Center Eats and came up to say hi before we left. I appreciate that he took the time to do that. It’s clear that he’s passionate about what he does. It shows in the quality of their food, and the uniqueness of the menu, and I look forward to more delicious meals from El Toro The Tot.

This place stopped outside of my office today and I had to get it. Not terribly expensive. The burger was cooked to perfection and very tasty. The tots were great also. I hope this food truck stops by Tuscany plaza more often. I ordered the Spanish Blue Cheese Burger with the bacon cheese stuffed tots. So good!

I ordered the Toro and cheesy tots. Pretty dang good. I would do fries next time, I didn’t care for the texture and density of the tots. But the burger was great. Good flavor, quality meat and the homemade bun made everything come together nicely.

I knew when walking up to this little truck I would be happy if the food tasted half as good as it smelled! It didn’t look vegetarian friendly from the outside, but they do have veggie options. I opted for the Cheesy Tots with Romesco sauce and have been thinking about them all week long. The texture was perfect with a crispy outside and a perfectly cooked inside. You could tell they were extremely fresh because they maintained their earthy potatoey goodness… Yum!

Went to the truck at Civic Center Eats where they are every Tuesday. Had the Spanish Blue with the Cheese Tots. Also tried the Toro Burger and Toro tots. Preferred the Toro Tots to the Cheese Tots. The burger was perfectly cooked medium as requested. The bun being homemade makes a huge difference too. Best burger in Denver! Also had the pleasure of trying their event catering prior to going to the truck and they had some options not available on the truck of which my favorite was the Arugula with pork Belly and watermelon salad. I also enjoyed their Street Tacos.

I will say the food tasted great. However, the meat did not reach a high enough temperature and now I have food poisoning. I hadn’t eaten anything since the day before, my stomach was empty and I was starving. I stopped by their truck because of the great aroma and decent price picked up the Toro burger and cheese tots. Not long afterwards I was in my work restroom completely sick and then again later at home. I can’t keep anything down. :-(I wanted to like this food truck, shame.

Luck would have it that on the same day that I forgot my healthy salad for lunch, this wonderful truck would be stationed outside of my workplace at the lunch hour. Diet be damned, I was going to have myself some of those cheesy tots. The woman behind the counter was fast and friendly. I was impressed, because she had quite a line, and though customers stood in line in front of their big, easy to read menu, they would get to her and not know what they wanted. She had the patience of a Saint. I however knew right away, that I had to try their Spanish Blue Cheese Burger and the tater tots loaded with cheddar and bacon. I mean, if you’re going to substitute for a salad, you have to go all in, right? That was one of the best burgers that I’ve ever had. Kudos to them for adding bacon for me for just a dollar.(I told you I was going all-in) The tots weren’t for me. I guess I was expecting something different. However, you could tell they were homemade and they were big, golden nuggets. If I get to see these folks again, I think I’ll just try the plain ol’ tots or fries. Anyhow, I highly suggest this truck. Maybe I didn’t go all-in, because I neglected to try their homemade donut holes. A guy has to set his limits. But next time… Oh… Next time…

We stopped in a couple of Thursdays ago to Mountain Toad for Tadpole Tap night; and this food truck was here. We weren’t even planning on eating and the delicious aromas and the food being brought in from the truck looked so good, we HAD to try it. First of all, Truffle Fries. TRUFFLE. FRIES. ohemgee sooooooooo good! and Cheesy Tater tots!!! Not to mention, the burgers we got were spectacular. I had the Americana and my husband had the El Toro. The burgers were juicy and delicious, packed with flavors. The bun was the softest, tastiest burger bun I have ever had in my entire life. I’m not even kidding. They also give you this sauce on the side for your fries… I don’t even know what it is, but it was amazing. They also are super reasonably priced. You mean to say your burgers are $ 8-$ 9, and if I get a combo with fries, EVEN the Truffle fries, its only $ 11? Heck yes! They even have vegetarian and GF options!!! If you like burgers, this place is sure to please. So much win.

El Toro The Tot was tasty! I had a toro burger with toro tots. The home made toasted bun was delicious! The burger was cooked just the way I ordered it and was juicy! The cheesy bacon tots went well with the burger. Friendly helpful staff, and didn’t take long for my order! I’ll definitely be back!

Found this truck at the Horseshoe Market, and ordered the Toro with the Toro Tots. The burger was tasty with great toppings, and the tots were quite tasty, stuffed with cheese and bacon! Though not the cheapest truck, very good food, filling and completely satisfying!

I had their food last night a Grist brewing Company. I had apple sausage patty with some tater tots that were stuffed with bacon. Just awesome and hit the spot, along with the Grist beers. I really enjoyed the food and will look for them around town

I had El Toro at the Art Museum one evening. Sadly, it was forgettable. My husband and I both got the Toro? the chorizo burger. The write up sounding amazing and yet I was super disappointed. The tots were fine but I found the dipping sauce less than special. *sad trombone*

This food truck was at The South Denver Beer Fest and it was calling my name. I walked up to the counter and asked the girl what she recommended. She said the Juicy Lucy was the best. So, that is what I will have! Excellent cooked burger. The name did not lie, it was extremely juicy and messy. The messier the burger, usually the better it tastes. This was no exception. It crumbled in my hands and exploded with flavor and juiciness. Great food truck. Check it out if you see it around Denver!

El Toro The Tot was our food truck of choice when it came to Paws & Co Adoptions Alumni reunion last Sunday. The folks that work the truck are super friendly and helpful when it came to describing the various menu options. I ordered the Toro Combo and it was amazing! The tots are awesome, the sauce they use is delicious and the burgers were tasty! El Toro The Tot was a huge hit at the reunion, despite the low turn out, every was very happy with their food and we at Paws & Co Adoptions hope that we will be able to work with El Toro The Tot again in the future! THANKYOU!

I only tried their most basic tot offering but those tots were HUGE! These are not your freezer section tots. And there was a good portion of them! Fresh, crispy and freshly grated parmesan over top with a yummy dipping sauce! I was pretty intoxicated when I tried these at the South Denver Beer Festival, so I definitely need to try them, and more of their offerings, a little more sober next time so I can fully appreciate. But, in the meantime, tots are t! ts(do people say that anymore?) for drunk food. See you around El Toro!

Wow. I had a feeling that my burger would be good, but I didn’t have expectations for the tots. I have never been impressed by any tots; they’re just… there. Well, forget everything you know about tots and try El Toro the Tot! Obviously handmade, these fried balls of potato taste fresh and delicious. The manchego cheese, the sauce… it’s all so good. My Toro burger was also excellent.(Do they have a charcoal grill in there? It tasted like the best homemade burger hot off the backyard grill, but with far better toppings.) We tried the donut holes, too, and they did not disappoint. They were crispy on the outside, cake-y but light on the inside – not heavy or greasy. The pear sauce was good, but the donuts really don’t need anything more than the dusting of sugar. Follow them on Twitter and try them soon!

Tater tots with bacon? Given my unhealthy attachment to bacon of course I had to try them. What I did not know is that the tots are pre-stuffed — I previously had visions of tots bathed in bacon and cheese — all the ingredients and none of the mess! They were little bites of goodness and at $ 4 there was a decent amount of tots. I don’t eat burgers but my coworker loved her Americano burger and it was cooked to a perfect medium rare. They also carry Zuberfizz soda made in Durango — with flavors including grape and orange cream — yummy!
