I visited the Free Range cart/truck at the Cherry Creek Farmer’s Market! Like the previous reviewer said, it is a bit pricey — I ended up paying $ 5 for a small americano and a medium coffee. With that said though, it was a warm welcome on the chilly/gray day at the market and the coffee was really smooth and had a great taste.

I had less than $ 5 cash left on me and still needed to pick up some fresh veggies at the Cherry Creek Farmer’s Market. However, I also needed a frosty, iced, caffeinated beverage like nobody’s business. «I’d really love an iced soy latte,» I thought to myself as I approached Free Range Coffee’s centrally-located truck, «but if I’m going to have enough cash for the rest of my veggies, I’d probably better stick to a plain old iced coffee.» With soy, of course… because that’s just how I roll. Cow’s milk… ugh. *shudder* Imagine my surprise when the cashier handed me a smallish iced coffee and said, with a smile, «that’ll be $ 3.60 please.» ‘Scusemewhatnow? $ 3.60 for a small iced coffee??? Even with a 60-cent markup for soy milk, that’s beyond ridiculous. But when I expressed my incredulity, the cashier was quick to inform me(still smiling) that, «we charge more for iced.» So let me get this straight. If you put ice– FROZENCHUNKSOFWATER– into my cup before pouring in the coffee, you charge more money. For less coffee. Wow. No wonder you’re smiling.
