I have been coming here for a few years and I wish I would have known about this place my entire life I have never been to a more honest place before they do a good job and they’re very honest and I highly recommend them to anybody.

Don and his guys are honest and do amazing work. For a company that doesn’t advertise other than word of mouth… These Guys Are Great! We’ve been taking our cars/​van to him for years and have sent MANY people his way. They all say the same thing. «This guy is great». He won me over years ago when I had a lengthy list of things supposedly wrong with my vehicle. A friend sent me to Don at HP Automotive and he went down the list checking everything and came back with an honest quote of «all you need is this and that, the rest are just fine.» The van ran like a champ ever since. Multiple cars/​trucks/​vans later he is still my mechanic hero! Thank you Don and your crew for making our lives so much easier.

Don is exceptionally honest, considerate and knowledgeable. We started going to him on the suggestion of a friend and pinch ourselves nearly every time we go back. So many shops make you think they are out to take you for all you’ve got. Don is the complete and total opposite. Don’t hesitate to give him a shot.

I had a dead car in a nearby shopping center on a weekend night around the holidays. I asked AAA to tow it to HP Automotive because it was nearby and had another positive Unilocal review. Also I was new in Denver and hadn’t found that gem of mechanic that you’d swear by.
Thankfully when HP opened after the holiday and my little dead car was in their care, I not only got it fixed but found my gem — the car servicers I will always use for as long as I can.
As the other reviewer said, Don is honest, forthcoming, not out to make a fast buck, and has a well-​skilled staff. But us Unilocalers know a we can easily find lot of skilled people are out there, we’re looking for The Good Guys. Don is one of them.

My wife and I recently used HP Automotive for changing out the timing and drive belts on our 2004 Mitzibushi Endeavour. Don gave me two estimates — one best case and one worst case — so I would aware of the differences and be financially prepared. Justin was the mechanic who did the work and called me afterwards to tell me exactly what he replaced and why. Suprisingly, much to mine and my wife’s delight, the repair cost came in considerably lower than what was presented on the best case estimate! Justin was very knowledgable and completed the entire job in an amazing amount of time. The vehicle was dropped off around 9:00 a.m. and was ready just after 1:30 p. m! The entire experience was made so easy and the service was absolutely above and beyond! I would recommend HP Automotive to anyone who is looking for quality work at very reasonable prices. Both Don and Justin are honest, trustworthy, knowledable people who know the value of treating a customer right and providing a higher level of service to stay a «step up» on the competition. Kudos to these two who really know their stuff and deserve as much business as they can handle!

Don Hunter is the owner of this amazing auto repair business. We first called him on the recommendation of a friend. We thought out alternator was down. (But really, we know nothing about cars, so we had no clue.) He could easily have gotten away with replacing our alternator and we would have never known the difference, yet it was simply the battery.
Don is an honest man. He will tell you what he thinks is going on and fix only what is necessary. Most of the time the car is fixed within hours of him getting it at very reasonable prices. He has been taking care of our Saturn and Honda for 5 years now and they are both over 100K miles.
Don will even come pick me up when my car is ready!!! I cannot say enough about him and how wonderful he is at his job. If you are having car troubles and want an honest opinion call Don.
