An all around great choice for Breakfast or Brunch I used to live right up the street from Javier’s but moved recently and hadn’t been in for awhile. Having exhausted myself at the LoHi festival the night before, and having left my car in that area, I needed to come back and I needed a huge plate of everything to quench my hunger. Insert Javier’s They have a nice patio setup if it’s not too hot and some barstool seating(a must in this category if you ask me) and plenty of booths and tables for a crowd. The service I’ve had here has always been good, wether barstool or traditional, but can be done via a committee of sorts rather than a single server. They always have a good special plastered on be board and have the diner menu with a little bit of everything. I opted for the breakfast tamale combo with hot chili and my girlfriend had an egg combo with French toast. Everything was cooked well, eggs that perfect medium, yolks intact, good luck to the chili but not so much that you can’t drink it with some coffee. Service was exactly what I wanted, attentive but gave you the space to read the paper and not push you out the door. It’s undergone some changes over the years but it’s always come through for me and I will continue to come back when I’m in that neck of the woods

This place has a great cheeseburger called the macho burger with fried jalapeño– It’s good breakfast for extreme hangovers — After this last visit I was informed of the new owners of eight months so congrats to you and cheers !!

Unfortunately, this place had really gone down hill recently. Always short staffed, poor use of space on the patio, mixed up orders when you finally do get your food. Disappointing as this was our weekend ritual for years.

My husband took me here this morning for breakfast. We had tried several other places for brunch but the waits were at least an hour long. There was not a wait and we were seated right away. Our waitress was very attentive and our food came quickly. The food was excellent! I had the basic breakfast with potatoes and a side of pancakes. My husband had the breakfast burrito with green chili. Loved the green chili. Our check was only $ 20 and we were so stuffed!!! We will definately be back.

Very tasty!!! I ordered the chicken fried steak for breakfast and it was A M A Z I N G!!! Also try their mimosa as well. It was mighty strong which was needed for my morning because of a long night drinking prior. Lol I will be going back on the future!

I’ve driven pass Javier’s many times. It always looks busy! Their outside patio looks so inviting I had to stop a few days ago. They serve mostly Mexican inclined dishes but they do have a few old standbys like bacon, eggs and toast. Or in this case I chose their chorizo. Awesome choice! Their chorizo is one of the best. Perfectly seasoned. Not too spicy and still good the following day:) On a sunny day outside seating is preferred. They day we went most people were inside. You pay on the way out and yes there could be a line for that. Solid place for good ol’ way to break your fast!

Stopped in on Saturday afternoon. They were gracious enough to let us set outside – it was so great for a January day! The waitress kidded with up about it, but very attentive and quick. We both loved our meals and coffee! So it was a great afternoon and we will be back!

Love Javier’s. Decently priced and super friendly staff. I ordered a complicated meal and they made all the changes no problem — all with a smile! Not to mention the food is fantastic! I am definitely a regular, and will be for a long time. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, great food = 5 stars.

Great prices and good food. A bit funky dinner but for the price and food it is a thumbs up!

We used to visit Javier’s frequently however the past 4 or 5 visits have gotten progressively worse. The service is terrible to the point where last visit we had to ask someone to take our order after 20 minutes waiting, the food was cold and then we received the wrong check after another 15 minute wait. I’m not sure why such a decline the past few months but it’s unfortunate and without even an apology the last trip we will not be going back.

We came in and ordered takeout, and our food was mediocre at best as well as overpriced for what we got. $ 10.25 for a ‘vegetarian mexican combo’ that had little to no flavor or variety.

Absolutely awesome. Food is delicious. Service is great friendly and prompt. The place is clean and cozy and has a great outdoor space. If you’re in the mood for some good food at a great price this is definitely a place to check out.

Great family restaurant. The outside patio has kids tables, toys, books, crayons, etc. I have a squirmy 2 year old and he loves it here, and they love him too. We always feel so welcome. The food is diner style meets Mexican. Margaritas are delicious.

One of our favorite brunch spots in the area. The green chili here is the best! We usually get the mass confusion skillet which comes with a ton of veggies and meat and green chili to top it off. Definitely has that old school diner feel. Service can be hit or miss but for the most part we have always had a pleasant experience here

After driving past Javier’s for 3 years I finally decided that it was time to try it out. I would recommend sitting in the patio area in the evening because it is relaxing and inviting. We bellied up to a large community table and ordered up a couple of their Mexican dishes. The chili relleno breakfast plate came with beans, 2 eggs, home fries, 1 relleno, and smothered in hot chili sauce. My favorite part had to have been smothering the potatoes in the hot chili sauce. The home fries were cooked perfectly! The relleno fell a little flat for me because the breeding was less crunch than I like. The saving grace of the dish was yet again the chili sauce. Get extra! While moderately priced, I feel that it was a little more expensive than what it should be. Granted, it is a diner so you can find decent cheap options. Overall though, i think the price needs to come down a bit. Good flavor, waitstaff was great, and the cook did a nice job too. Now let’s get this place to be ~$ 1.50 less per entrée and Javier will have a gold mine!

We’ve tried this place 3 times over the last 4 months. Each time has been terrible. The service is awful. Takes forever to get waited on, to get food, to get a check. When you do finally get your food, the order is wrong. When you let someone know the order is wrong, 2 or 3 more people come to verify if/why it was wrong. Additionally, the food just isn’t that good. Since when does a chile relleno belong in a wonton wrapper? 3 strikes and you’re out.

I grab breakfast here every time I come to town. Huevos Rancheros or the breakfast burrito with(either hot or mild) chili is great. It’s a straight-up diner atmosphere. So, if you’re looking for trendy, crunchy, granola, gluten-free, paleo-whatever cuisine go to 32nd/Lowell.

Outstanding nachos, average everything else. Date of Visit: 1÷5÷15 Javier’s is a relative hole-in-the-wall type of place, but does have some promising items on the menu. Our group ordered the nachos, chicken burrito platter, chicken tenders, and a combo plate. The chicken tenders were straight out of a bag(microwave-style), but we had warned our friend that getting that at a Mexican restaurant made little sense. That said, it was still really poor product. The burrito and combo platters were just average, both very heavy on cheese and sauce but light on flavor. The lone star of the meal was the nachos, which were some of the better ones I’ve had to date. That, and the service, albeit a little slow, was very good. Overall, Javier’s would not come to mind when giving recommendations, but there are definitely worse places to end up.

I love Javier’s. I used to come here in my single days and sit at the breakfast bar. I love their green chili but I still can’t get Javier to share the recipe. They have good food, friendly service and a great patio. I would give 5 stars if patio was non smoking. No bueno! They now have theme nights with free margs, romance and mariachis! Enjoy!

We were originally heading to DJ’s across the street but noticed the wait was like 30 minutes, and that this place was not that busy. The Unilocal reviews looked good so we gave it at go… and we were happy we did. In, served, ate, left. Bam. The food was great, service fast and to the point. Portions are pretty reasonable. Prices are great. As we left, we noticed other people just getting seated at DJ’s. We are from out of town and were noticing that a lot of the« Unilocal» crowd seem to hover around these eateries that develop rock star legend on Unilocal.I am part of that crowd, so no hard feelings. My point being is that there are some great places nearly a stone’s throw away in this case, that could easily have that many Unilocal ratings if someone just took a second to go try it out. I guess time will tell. Regardless, this place was a great place for breakfast, without the lines and cult following associated with some of the other Unilocal places… and we kind if liked that.

Good diner food… really just good food. Everything was really good. We enjoyed the pancakes the very most!!! Also they have veggie green chili and it was tasty… don’t worry their main green chili has pork in it. Stop by if you are in the neighborhood.
