So I’m sitting in Denver airport with extra time. So I went to get breakfast. I went to try KFC. It’s not bad. I ordered two sandwiches and one hash brown. My sandwiches were ordered special and they got them correct. My only thing I am confused about is why she gave me nine hash browns. I only paid for one. She even read back my order as she handed it to me. But I still got nine hash browns. I’m a little confused.

Wow a fast food kiosk with both KFC Fried Chicken and Pizza Hut Express?! That’s amazing I think it’s wonderful that there’s both to choose from. I wonder what’ll happen when you combine both fast food masterpieces? You get a bigger buffet style meal with fried chicken, your choice of mashed potatoes, Cole slaw, gravy and macaroni cheese with any toppings added on a slice of delectable, and affordable pizza. Two in one! Yessiree, this joint can’t possibly be handled by the average American because the goodness is too good. Since it is located in the airport, don’t be a fool and make sure to give yourself time to enjoy the masterpiece of soul food and pizza. Ain’t nobody got time to miss their flight over food. But could it be worth it this time and sincerely miss it because the food is too awesome and good to be true? Absolutely. It’s so good, it’s almost worth me going through a long drive, parking at the stressful airport parking lot, and getting inspected by TSA in order to enjoy a beautiful combination of food sex. Good idea. Whoever came up with combining both KFC and Pizza Hut deserves more than a medal.

Crappy, barely a Pizza Hut, sells one size, personal pizza, and only 3 types. More so KFC.

Ah! what can you expect at an airport. I was at Denver airport for almost a day(for sadly a layover which was more than a layover). It was nice to have free wifi and netflix with me. But a man’s got to eat. I tried Quinos at the terminal, but it wasnt great and fresh as promised. So decided to play safe and have a pizza. The problem with them is that they keep the three pizza’s(supreme, pepperoni and cheese) already prepared. That makes the pizza soggy, so I didnt like it very much. I usually have peperoni and thought of having supreme! But that sucked. Totally. It was not very fresh and felt like eating a lot of dough! But with other options like McDonalds, Panda Express and a couple of bar cum eateries no proper food option was there. And pizzas give you your shot of carbs! Now I feel I should get my own food while stopping at Denver, or should try and explore other terminals.

There are only two places in all of DIA that sell Rockstar, and KFC/Pizza Hut is one of them. This is correct. Technically, they sell it, but you better want a hot one. They have them in the back, but not in the cooler… WTH?! This is a consistent situation. Until they decided to keep them chilled in the cooler instead of hot on the stockroom floor, you may get a cold Rockstar on B Concourse at Itsa Wrap It’s a Bowl.

The line was long but getting the actual food was crazy quick. The chicken strips were a little small but they gave me four instead of three to make up for the size. The potato wedges were also ultra thin and ultra crispy – just the way we like them. Not sure if it was the plane ride or the combination of three different sauces I ate with my chicken that made me sick to my stomach, but totally worth it.

Everyone who visits this place has, by default, somewhere else to be by virtue of being in a post-security airport terminal. It is this fact that makes my mind reel when I recount the slowness with which the cashier did her thing. The speed at which my order was filled looked like that sweet shoot-out scene in «The Matrix» where Keanu has time to not only bend backwards to avoid being hit by a bullet, but ensure his hair is perfectly coifed while doing so. As if that wasn’t enough, I had to remind her to actually hand me the crap I bought. I’m not surprised, though, given how long it took her to fill up a fucking cup of soda. She probably forgot what I was doing there. In fact, she probably forgot what SHE was doing there. To follow through completely on my Matrix theme: blue pill? red pill? If I have to order from this place, make it a cyanide pill. Christ almighty, ordering here is like falling into a time vortex from which you emerge confused as to whether or not time actually moved while you were gone. Also, the popcorn chicken was okay, maybe a little greasy.

Horrible service. Very chaotic. It took me 14 mins to order my food.

I love KFC! But now that I’m my mid-30s, I only allow myself this treat 3 – 4 times a year. However… I should’ve thought this through more carefully. I’m at Denver International to catch a connecting flight. I knew I still had a 2.5 hour flight back to San Diego. I had a window seat. I had eaten 3 chicken tenders, wedge fries, and 2 biscuits… KFC food causes weird, unnatural feelings to happen in my stomach and intestines. About an hour into my flight, I had to take a poop. Pooping in an airplane stall is very uncomfortable and claustophobic. Quite frankly, it sucks. Badly. I also felt bad for the 9 year old little girl whom went into the lavatory after me. I really hope she held her breath. In Conclusion… 3 Crispy Strips: 390cal, 21g fat, 1130mg sodium + Wedge fries: 290cal, 15g fat, 810mg sodium + 2 biscuits: 360cal, 16g fat, 1060mg sodium — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — – = 1040cal, 52g fat, 3000mg sodium, and Poops. For the record, I prefer Popeyes.

I used to like the Denver airport, but it’s really losing its luster. Same goes for their food selections. My stomach was literally growling on the airplane from DC to Denver so I had to grab something. I skipped my usual spots that I hit up when I’m in Denver and grabbed a personal combination pizza for $ 4. This is probably the cheapest place to grab some food in this airport and the pizza was pretty decent. The cashiers were overly polite in a weird sort of way.

Hideous! Restaurants should be required by law to display photographs of food they actually prepared and not the studio shots that make them look so tasty. This chicken sandwich in the number 2 combo meal is nothing short of nasty! Next time I hope my connecting gate is closer to my favorite DIA food stop Que Bueno!

Tasty, I’ve actually been here twice, if you can believe that. Tasty, quick, not cheap, but not bad. The airport always screws ya price-wise. And yes… they are super hard to understand hehe.

Located in the hub of Concourse A at DIA(next to Panda Express and others), this KFC Express /Pizza Hut Express combines pre-made pizzas with fried and grilled chicken. One innovative food offering on the Pizza Hut side was a combo of a personal pizza and breadsticks, which my wife got on our outbound flight through Denver. On the return trip, we split a 6 piece chicken strip meal combo. The lady behind the counter was a little hard to understand, but eventually we managed to figure out that she was offering us honey or butter spread for our biscuits. We ended up with both. The concept of butter spread(not actual) butter is a bit scary, and sure enough, the honey is not really honey either — its fourth ingredient is honey(after HF corn syrup, corn syrup and sugar). But nice to find a meal(six chicken strips plus two biscuits and a drink) that is good for two people rather than having to buy two separate meals. Reasonably priced too…
