I really like this place, I’ve been going to Lime from before the remodel and have continued to go since. Since the remodel I sense the staff has a whole new appreciation for the business and really go that extra mile. I typically make it for taco Tuesday, and recommend calling ahead to put your name in or you’ll be stuck waiting. Overall I recommend this place.

After my argument with the manager John in front of everyone sitting at the bar last night. I promise I will never be back. You lost a lot of business. Our friend was ALLERGIC to cheese and they refused to make the dollar tacos without cheese. Pathetic.

A Note To The Owner: My fiancé and I were regulars here for the better part of a year. Every week we brought family & friends, and suggested Lime to others on a consistent basis. We never complained although our orders were usually delivered incorrect, understanding that Tuesday’s can be hectic. Back in January, we brought a group of 8 people and every single thing about our order was incorrect so we complained. John, YOUR manager, came up to our table clearly irritated and emotionally driven. He treated us with zero respect. In fact, he had such little respect for us that he informed us that it would be your last taco Tuesday and that you were shutting down as a mexican restaurant to transition into a bar(which was clearly a lie). I reluctantly returned last night. My friend has an allergy to one of your additions to the tacos, so we politely requested for it to not be added to the tacos. John, YOUR manager, came up to us clearly irritated again not willing to work with us. Although your mindset of «If I made adjustments for one person, I would have to for everyone» may be correct, WHOCARES!!! I’m not sure if you are aware, but you own a business in the service industry. In the service industry, the customer is always correct and you are to cater to them(if you don’t like this, perhaps you shouldn’t own a group of restaurants). John, YOUR manager, then continued to explain that you have fired two employees in the past for adjusting taco toppings for customers. YOUFIREDANEMPLOYEEFORCATERINGTOCUSTOMERS!!! Please remember that the employees you keep are an extension of who you are and what your business represents. After learning how you operate, I will never support your businesses. Thankfully, during one of our brief conversations you told me the list of businesses you own. You, sir, are not only a bad businessman, but a bad person in general.

Understaffed, felt bad for the waiter. Way too long wait times — was not pleased and very frustrated.

I feel terrible for my waiter. He has been working all tables in the entire restaurant. The service is SO slow. He looks incredibly stressed out and it looks like he’s training too… On a Saturday night. My order was wrong, too. Food isn’t worth the wait.

Wow worst service I’ve ever had. There are so many better places to go for tacos. Really young(16?) and slutty hostess. She told us the wait would be 45 mins when it was an hour and a half. This is while empty tables were available the entire time. We had a party of 2. Very sad. I guess you don’t have to know what you’re doing if you show enough cleavage. Also once we finally got to the table we had to wait 15 mins for anyone to even greet us. To top it off the food is barely mediocre, and the chips are soaked in grease

Horrendous customer service. Came to Lime after the Broncos Super Bowl parade and they were understaffed. Not very smart on the ownership side as anyone could have expected a busy lunch hour on this particular day. My table was ignored for the first 30 minutes. The waitress kept passing our table rushed, making excuses to why she couldn’t stop. After an extensive wait she finally made it back to the table to take our opening orders, but funny thing, we never even got menus. I randomly ordered typical Mexican starters(chips, queso, guac, and margaritas), worried that we may not see her for another 30 minutes. Our opening order came out, and it was quite the disappointing start. No guac, queso was reminiscent of chunky prison velveeta slop, and the margaritas were sugary heartbreaks. They got all of our Taco orders wrong, the expo serving the food literally told us that he had no idea which taco was which and wished us luck on trying to solve the taco puzzle. The service was bad but the food and drinks were worse. I complained to the to our waitress demanding something be comped but at the very least to speak with a supervisor. After 15 minutes no supervisor came and our waitress said he didn’t have time to come talk to me because they were to busy. We still payed the tab without being able to voice our frustration but we left with disgust because we couldn’t stand being in the establishment anymore. I have never been treated worse in a restaurant and I will never be returning to Lime. Didn’t think I could get sad on a day celebrating the Broncos Super Bowl win but Lime did just that!

I finally went on Tuesday to try their $ 1 taco Tuesday deal and it was not my favorite. I tried their shredded chicken, ground beef and the carnitas tacos, with a side of rice. First the shredded chicken and carnitas meat looked exactly a like, not what I expected. The meat was all seasoned alike so there wasn’t much of a different taste from taco to taco. I did all tacos on flour and the tortillas are great, the tacos had great pico de gallo with green leafy lettuce and cheese. The rice was very bland, don’t let the great looking rice deceive you. The service was great, I went around 12ish and it wasn’t over crowded which was great. 2 stars for good service, sadly no stars for the tacos. I wouldn’t recommend this place for good Mexican food in the Denver area unfortunately.

I have been to lime about a dozen times. Post remodel I really think they have stepped their game up. No, its not authentic Mexican fare– but the margs good(get the more expensive ones, worth it) and I LOVE the chips and salsa(if you aren’t in to the deep fried puffy chips you can request corn). The service is also great and the waitstaff is always friendly. I also give them extra points for offering a slew of weekday food specials, that honestly is hard to find in Denver.

This was my second attempt to see if this place would do better than the first experience and well let’s say I will NEVER be back here… problem 1… was here a month ago for the the taco Tuesday and well since I cannot eat cilantro(I have this weird gene that makes cilantro taste like soap)…the waiter didn’t even attempt to accommodate with asking the chef to not put pico de Gallo on JUSTTHREE tacos(yes I know it says in the fine print no substitutions).so I was forced to get something else, which I double checked with the waiter to make sure the dish didn’t have cilantro… and it did… Problem 2…(happened today/Nov 14)… We order queso to go… total was $ 5.35…I walked into the bar… lady bartender with black hair working at 2:45PM, just took my $ 6.00 and toss it on the back bar, and didn’t even attempt to give me my change back and just walked off and proceeded to help another guest… mind you I never once said«keep the change»… So this woman/establishment basically stole money from me… this was a TOGO order, so the $ 5.35 covered the cost and labor of what it took to put some chips and spoon some queso into a bowl, that took so much effort that you think you automatically deserve a tip??? As I ALWAYS tip where the effort is due, but your hourly wage covered what you the work you did for my order… I was prepared to give her a full dollar once she gave me my change back… btw… Please people, be aware of their entitled employees… –n

I came here to kill some time and was intrigued by the Stuffed Avocado. Didn’t catch the servers name, who was also the bartender. 5 other people in here at 4pm on Friday. I sit at the bar for punctual service, seems logical. Ordered a strawberry Mojito, the only real fruit Mojito I’m told. 1st drink; well poured, 2nd drink; did we forget the liquor? poured. The free chips and salsa: The chips are more like crackers. Flakey, brittle with an aftertaste and crumbs everywhere. The salsa is mostly puréed tomatoes, garlic salt and oregano. Bland So, I know I’m in no rush, but I don’t think I should have to wait more than 5 minutes to be asked if I want a second drink, when I clearly have an empty glass. So I get to order a second drink, pick up the menu and turn to see the bartender has already left me with my mouth agape. Spending several minutes discussing candy with a coworker. Or fawning over a customer twice her age. Half way into my second drink, about half an hour, she comes to ask if she can get me anything else before she closes out and transfers me to someone else. Excuse me? You’ve made 2 drinks and brought me crappy chips and salsa. Never asking how the drinks are. Do you like the chips? She offered to comp my drinks, which I refused. I drank them. I asked to see a manager. The manager eventually comes over. I explain my observations. He’s sympathetic and asks if there’s anything he can do. No, I’ll just take another drink. The Strawberry Mojito. «Are you sure? Because that’s a margarita.» So not only am I stupid for not noticing this fact myself, I did it twice. Apparently«nobody» ever orders a flavored Mojito, and she just robotically plopped out strawberry margaritas without thinking. Fine, I’ll take the blame for that. The manager brings my Mojito. Extremely sweet, low alcohol, and unmuddled mint. John, the manager was quite defensive when I showed him Whole mint leaves. Made excuses, stomped off behind the bar, took my drinks and said he’ll take care of my bill. That’s not why I came here! I wanted service and a stuffed avocado! So I guess you can’t stay if you have a problem with more than one thing/person/etc… Overall a sophomoric attempt at upper class Mexican food and drink. Management and staff seem ill equipped to accommodate more than a hand-full of customers at a time. I know the idea of a stuffed avocado won’t be enough to bring me here again.

5 star patio, great service meets lousy margarita(mine tasted like bar water and I kept imagining that sink full of blue disinfectant water that bars dip their glasses into to clean… I did not even finish my marg… Travesty) and marginal Mexican fare. Sometimes sitting on a nice patio is a nice thing to do– I think bottled beer may be the way to go here. As to food, I was so excited!!! To find a fried stuffed avocado!!! But my excitement died on the vine when I took my first bite. Bland bland bland fried in bland cornmeal. Sad sad disappointment. They did serve corn and flour chips– the kind that are ok only, but when you stand up you feel nauseatingly full… and the salsa. The salsa was so sweet, not zesty or the least bit savory. Alas, the search for the fried avocado continues!

We did like so many Unilocalers before us and traveled to Lime XS for their Taco Tuesday $ 1 taco special. As you might expect it was extremely busy and while we had to wait., it wasn’t more than about 15 minutes for a few tables to open up. Let’s talk atmosphere here for a second. The place is busy and rather small. As a result the noise level was extremely loud. We tried to get seated outdoors where tables were opening up, but ended up seated on their enclosed balcony. The sound was bouncing off the plastic enclosure and it was just deafening. On top of that the restaurant was also playing music that was at most times unable to heard over the roar of conversation. Keep that in mind if you have hearing difficulties. Now let’s talk tacos. I’m a taco snob. I love tacos, and if tacos are $ 1 I’m going to eat my body weight in tacos. As you may expect with $ 1 tacos, you do get what you pay for. I tried every $ 1 taco on the menu(they do have some $ 3 tacos with seafood that I did not have). While they were all pretty good, the best taco by far was simply the ground beef taco. There is something about their ground beef that is simply amazing. The flavor was enough to make my eyes light up with a rush of endorphin’s. Get a ground beef taco. Get 10 of them.

Only a margarita review. Got the mini mighty on a non-taco Tuesday night(went here for taco Tuesday again a few weeks ago and the tacos were ok but nothing special. But they are $ 1). The margarita last night was overly sweet and a bit pricey for what it was. I’m still curious about what their regular food tastes like so I might be back. As far as their standard margaritas go — I’ve had better.

I came here for taco Tuesday. I know that this place has been recently renovated and it looks very nice and modern inside. It was a little bit chilly so I didn’t sit outside, but I can’t wait to be able to do so in the summer. We obviously came for the $ 1 tacos, so I didn’t get a chance to sample the rest of the menu aside from the tacos, chips, salsa and queso. The tacos were on par with Taco Bell and you could order chicken, ground beef, shredded beef and vegetarian. If you want to be a high roller, you could pay a few more dollars for fish and another variation which I can’t recall. The salsa was really good, it wasn’t spicy and tasted like trader joes chipotle salsa. The queso was kind of weird, it was super soupy and messy with a green child topping. The service wasn’t amazing. It wasn’t very busy despite being taco Tuesday, but we had to ask a few times for utensils and the guac and sour cream we ordered($ 1 for a small cup). That was a little frustrating because we wanted to share the sour cream and guac but we didn’t have anything to scoop it with. We also got like one napkin each. The margaritas were $ 5 which is a pretty good deal considering you’re paying for $ 1 tacos but they weren’t too special. I was told by a friend that you could have them on the rocks or blended, so I think that next time I’ll ask to have it blended. I would come back, because it’s cheap but it isn’t spectacular by any means.

Is it Tuesday yet? $ 1 tacos and cheap margs on Tuesdays are a staple I grew up with in metro Detroit, and have since to find here in Denver. Awesome deal! I came here with a group of friends after a sunny afternoon of beers and backyard festivities at City Park and we were all absolutely famished. The staff did a good job of seating us together pretty quickly, and moving tables around for us on the patio when a few more friend arrived later. The tacos were everything I would expect for $ 1… would not pay any more for what I got, but for $ 1 they were great! The only thing I would say is that the organization was pretty slacking. We had to ask a couple of times for extra plates since one person’s tacos were on the same plate as someone else’s at the other end of the table, but considering they were slammed it was pretty understandable.

We are regulars here for taco Tuesday and they rarely disappoint. The enclosed wood patio/bar area mixes well with the music and lights for a very nice atmosphere. We’ve been to the Lime downtown too and the service here is far superior. They have friendly staff, stiff drinks, and delicious tacos.

Came in on Taco Tuesday. Made reservations on Open Table was was seated instantly. Luckily we went early, because it was PACKED after about 30 minutes. Started with chips and salsa. Be sure and ask for a mix of the tortilla and flour chips. Both are delish! Taco Tuesday is $ 1 tacos(shredded beef, shredded chicken, veggie, ground beef) or $ 3 fish or shrimp tacos. Also includes $ 5 margaritas, which were pretty good as well. Pass on the fish taco, but the other tacos were very decent for $ 1. Note: They do NOT do happy hour on Taco Tuesdays(we found out when we got our bill).

Congrats on the remodel — this place is so much more roomy, open, and welcoming. So glad there is now a patio, lots of sitting room, and ton of bar space. There’s a bunch of great things going on with the new Lime XS. Let’s dive in… First off — tequila. Man oh man, they have a lot of tequila. We’re talking multiple menu pages of options. There is also a variety of margarita options to enjoy. Of course, there’s a full bar if you wish to have a different kind of spirit. If you’re looking for a nice place to have some tequila this would be a great choice. The only reason I can’t give five stars is the food. While it is tasty, it seems a bit pretentious and over priced to me. It’s trying to be really fancy. Don’t get me wrong — it’s good food but I don’t think it’s a-maze-ing. The tacos are indeed delicious but I wouldn’t call home about it. I would like to commend the customer service because the staff here is very nice. We had a great conversation with one of the managers who broke down the whole menu for us and made some good recommendations. The whole vibe of this place is fresh, and new, and totally cool. Any place that has a patio is aces in my book. Sure, the view of 6th Ave isn’t the most glamorous but at least you can get some fresh air, do some people watching, and enjoy this great city from the behind the comfort of a margarita. I would for sure come back again for some drinks.
