Really solid personal pizza place. Sometimes I wish they were a little bit more filling but I have started asking for extra meat to make up for that. The crust is very good and doesn’t feel super heavy like a dominos type pizza. Definetly feels like a pizza you would eat somewhere in a kitchen in Italy. One big extra shoutout to there pepperoni, some of the best I’ve ever had.

i came in a year ago and got the gluten free pizza, which I liked just fine. I came in today because I was in a time crunch and needed something fast. Again I ordered a gluten free pizza. They changed the crust and it is Good. I would even say best gluten free crust! Great, friendly service. I will be back soon!

Awesome find while walking to the local ice cream shop across the street. Had the supreme and spicy chicken pizzas. Both were excellent and the service super friendly. They even have a cool little dessert called Budino which is a butterscotch pudding and is just the right size to give you a little sweet to top off your meal.

Fresh ingredients and delicious pizza’s made in front you in a clean restaurant! The service is amazing and they are so accommodating! The service is fast, since it doesn’t take long to bake your pizza. I am not a huge pizza person, but I love the pizza at this place. It tastes delicious and just the right size(11″) and the price is right. You won’t be disappointed. The next time I go, I will get a fresh salad and have a cocktail!

I sat on this review for a while because I just couldn’t make up my mind on this place. To be honest, I only heard of Pizzeria Locale within the last year. I love pizza, and love trying new places, and this place came my way with my boyfriend’s recommendation. I like the concept of this place. As someone else mentioned, it’s similar to Live Basil. You walk through a line and tell the helpful staff what toppings you would like, then a few minutes later, voila! A crispy, napoleon style pizza without breaking a sweat. On a recent visit, there was a leak coming from the ceiling that happened to come in contact with our food, so we asked the staff to remake it and then moved to a different seat. They gladly did, but added meat to what was requested as a vegetarian pizza. After bringing it to their attention, they remade it for us. Without request, or complaint, the manager came over and apologized for the mistake and offered my boyfriend and I 2 complimentary cards for next time. Great managing! Neither of us were upset with the mistake, and made no complaints, but the manager wanted to be proactive, which I appreciate greatly. The staff is generally very friendly, though one time we were accused of not telling the chefs that we wanted arugula on the pizza, which we did, and the cashier made it sound like we were trying to steal a topping or something. Overall, the pizza is decent. The restaurant is clean, and they offer oil for the crust. There is just something that I don’t love. the absence of ranch dressing. All of their salads come with a house dressing, which I don’t personally like. I would appreciate more options when it comes to that. I’ll definitely stop in again, but this is a place that is satisfying, but not a favorite of mine.

Pizzeria Locale is a great fast casual Neapolitan– style pizza joint in the Highlands. The location is superb and so is the service! Being able to see the fresh and vibrant ingredients as you build your tailor-made pizza is a nice touch. Their oven is epic and the pizza is cooked quickly. They also have one of the best gluten-free crusts in Denver.

I went there with my BF this past weekend we ordered the four cheese pizza for the both of us. It was delicious the crust was very good and the cheese was tasty as well. The place was very clean and the staff was professional and handled your food with care. The prices as good. Bonus: I mentioned my BD this week and they gave me a coupon for a free pizza. I will be back for sure! Keep up the good work!

Super friendly staff, great thin crust pizza, and very quick service. Great for dinner with kids or adults. It takes less than 3 minutes to get your pizza and it is ver tasty. The staff always makes a point to say hi when you come in and they do a great job. Recommend this for a quick pizza dinner!

Stopped by for pizza with the family this past weekend. I didn’t realize that it was a fast casual restaurant, but actually that is one of the reasons I ended up liking it so much. The pizza came out fast and was very fresh. The kids split a pepperoni pizza and loved it. I got my own pizza(the Mais with crème fraiche, corn and ham) and my husband got the Diavolo(spicy Pepperoni). All the pizzas had ultra fresh ingredients, a really thin crispy crust, and they were really filling. Next time I could split a pizza and be fine(along with a side salad, also delicious with a great tasing vinaigrette). I would definitely recommend this place and I will be back soon!

I’ll admit it, I don’t trust Denver Unilocaler’s and pizza. I’ve been burned way too many times. From the Coal Fired place that doesn’t coal fire to a Argentinian place that had great reviews and a crust reminiscent of a dorm room cafeteria. Pizzeria Locale came to my attention. . not because of Unilocal. 1st — it was started by those guys at Frasca(and Chipotle).Frasca — A better restaurant in the area I couldn’t imagine.. 2nd — location location location. Not too far from the Children’s museum and across the street from our favorite ice cream place(Sweet Cow — sorry Little Man) It was pre-game so the place was not busy. The atmosphere is very fast-casual like with a person ordering a pizza and it being cooked quickly. They slice the prosciutto right there(Frasca style). The oven is hot, but traditional gas. The place executes almost exactly like Live Basil and Mod Pizza(if you have tried either). The difference here is that the pizza ingredients seem a little more Italian(i.e. simpler) really awesome ingredients and the atmosphere squeaks updated 50s Italian not hipster fast-casual. We didn’t get a soda, but they seemed to be traditional. A little disappointing(don’t you expect Boylan or some other craft soda these days?). The restaurant had a good craft beer list and plenty of wine options. The pizza — solid and very good pizza. Thin crust, slightly blackened.. good. You could //almost//think this came out of a coal fired oven. Beautiful, tasty, goodness. one $ 6.75 pepperoni fed two kids easily. In fact I personally think these 11 inch pies are enough for 2 as long as you get a salad or appetizer.

I came to Pizzeria Locale to try it after having Live Basil and really liking it. The concept is very similar. What I wish they offered at Pizzeria Locale is the option to order half a pizza and either a side salad, meatballs, or garlic bread on the side. Having the whole pizza is a lot in my opinion, and I’d rather just have half with something else. Anyway, the staff was great. They gave us samples of the meatballs and prosciutto without us even asking, and were super friendly. The pizza was okay. I got the supreme, minus onions, and the pepperoni was big which I liked! But the sausage was in tiny cubes, which I thought was kind of weird. The crust was not crispy at all in the middle, causing me to either have to eat my pizza with a fork and knife, or fold it in half to save the cheese and ingredients from sliding right off. If the pizza wasn’t floppy, I would have given it another star. Overall, not a bad place, the service was great and I like that they have wine and beer. But I’m from Chicago and expect a little more from my pizza :)

Even though we had a lovely dinner made and ready to go last night, the hubs and I looked at each other and both said pizza sounded really good. So we ventured into the highlands where we live close by and decided to try this joint out. You walk in to the counter, choose your pizza, pay and two minutes(yes two minutes) later you have a fresh baked individual pizza. We also got a salad to split and the hubs got a beer. That and two pizzas brought us to $ 25. Totally reasonable for dinner. I got the margherita pizza and it was tasty. Not the best one I’ve ever had but for the price and speed it was very good. I really liked the chewy wood fired crust. And the mixed veggie salad was the perfect amount of food with a nice zippy dressing. Overall our craving for pizza was well satisfied.

Was excited to try this new pizza concept. The place was clean and the staff was super friendly and helpful. They offered samples when we weren’t sure what we wanted which was great. Got out pizza out almost as soon as we sat down. The new GM came over to see how everything was and brought us a sample dessert which was a great touch as well. Think it’s such a great concept but for our family wasn’t too impressed with the pizza. It was a Neapolitan style which the kids didn’t care for. My son didn’t like his cheese pizza and they didn’t have bacon, which is his favorite ingredient. My daughter thought her pepperoni pizza was ok. My husband and I liked ours but didn’t feel like it was great pizza. Still love the concept and will probably go again and try a different kind of pizza to see how we like it.

I’ve been to the Pizzeria Locale on Broadway twice and was not impressed either time. It was the pizza crust — burnt both times! But after trying the location on 32nd, I’m happy to report that the issue was either resolved or a fluke because my pizza this time around was delicious! It was the last night of the Free-Pizza-with-a-Chipotle-Receipt deal so the line was out the door when we showed up but the staff was so great and we were sitting down with our pizzas 10 minutes later. I tried the Hawaiian special and my husband got the supreme and both were extremely good. I’m so happy to know we have a good fast casual thin crust pizza place near us!

I had a better experience at this PL than the one on 6th Broadway, does being acquired by Chipotle make a difference? I hope so and would love to hear all ingredients will be NON-GMO only! After glancing a few Unilocal reviews I learned they recently updated the pizza crust, that could be why. The pizzas seemed more flavorful. It’s a fast casual place so no waiter service is expected, but staff members who tidy up the dining area were seen smiling and greeting diners as their paths crossed. Half way through our lunch, this new manager guy came over to each table and chatted with us, answered questions, and asked if everything was alright. That is the right way to do business, well done!

I had been meaning to visit Pizzeria Locale in the Highlands since I hadn’t been there in a while. There was also an uproar of sorts about the crust and I wondered if adjustments had been made since the whole wheat dough was overshadowing all the great things about this place. I stopped in today to grab margherita and Calabria pizzas since I had a coupon. I chatted with the pizzaiolas(sp?) and they said were now using 85% double zero flour and 15% whole wheat(apparently for taste, sustainability, nutrition, or some combination of reasons). Regardless this is an improvement. When I brought the pizzas home my wife and I agreed they were great. So at this point I have to give four stars at least. Here are the facts as to why. The sauce and toppings are great. The oven is effective and innovative(some folks bad mouthed the oven but they don’t know what they are talking about). The price is right and in fact cheap(again, some folks say this place is expensive but they must be paying 1990’s prices wherever they usually go because $ 5.75 for a margherita pizza is a great deal). Finally, the crust is very good(If it were 100% double zero that would be even better). Bottom line, this should be on your short list for Highlands places to grab a bite.

I think everything about this place is delectable. The crust is original and delicious. The flavor combinations make my mouth water. Today I tried their salad and meatballs for the first time and I must say I was delighted by the taste of both. Pizzeria locale is a great fast food restaurant for pizza.

Looking for a quick bite to eat late one evening and realized we had just received a buy-one-get-one coupon, so we dropped in around 9:15 pm on a Sunday night. The counter staff were very friendly and explained how the restaurant worked and gave us the run-down of the menu. I ordered the classic mais, which is a white pizza with corn, crème fraîche, mozzarella, and prosciutto. My husband ordered the classic campagnola which did not have cheese, but had anchovies, capers, green olives, and garlic. The pizza came out in about two minutes after going into the oven. We also ordered a beer and sparkling water. Happy to see they serve beer here! Our pizza was pretty good and just the right amount(each pie is a personal sizes pizza). We were happy it came out quick too! The restaurant is pretty nice looking. Marble tables, white subway tiles, and dark wood make the restaurant feel open, clean, and sharp. Liked the counter service, liked the staff, and liked the pizza!
