Went into this hidden gem not sure what to think but I’m sure glad I did. I found that this place is the new spot for tamales hands down the best with the right amount of masa and pork. Soon as I left I called my brothers who are also really picky about tamales and we would have given them 10 stars if we could.

Seriously some of the best Mexican food I’ve had in my life, and for such a great price! They’d make an absolute killing if they opened a restaurant. I CRAVE this place on a pretty regular basis. They have so much more than tortillas. Both the red and green enchiladas are amazing, the green chile salsa and chipotle salsa are incredible. All very spicy! My fiancé and I gush about how awesome the barbacoa, refried beans are rice are, neither of which I’d be able to replicate at home. The Enchiladas are made with CORN tortillas so they are GLUTENFREE!!! Tortilla chips aren’t greasy or over salted. Love love love this authentic hole in the wall! Everything in the photo I posted was for $ 30 and we can eat off it for a week and then some — 6 enchiladas, green salsa, chipotle salsa, big bag of chips, beans, rice, slow cooked barbacoa. Service is always fast and friendly. The only thing I do after picking up take out is adding some homemade veggies to make it a little healthier: o) I’d love it if they added some fresh pico de gallo to their fridge!

Tried a dozen of red tamales from this place and each tamale is huge! Great portion for the price and they were delicious … definitely will be going back to try other items they have to offer.

Incredible! The best temales I’ve ever had, no joke. The green chili is also amazing. Anyone who is a fan of both needs to stop in here. I hope they never change.

holy hell this tamale is hot. I got the green chili and pork option. the masa is very tasty and is the perfect consistency. the pork is absolutely delicious. and as I mentioned before, the green chili is super spicy! I bought two, but it’s going to take me some courage to eat the second one. thank goodness I have this giant tub of sour cream! I also purchased salsa and chips. the chips are great. again, the heat! the salsa is ferocious! I’m not a big fan of the green onions in it either. I will recommend this spot, and I will return. I will probably opt for empanadas and anything with less heat.

I think fire would be less spicy than the habanero salsa. Their corn chips and salsas are great. If you like horrendously spicy foods, like I do, get the habanero salsa and hurt yourself for a while.

Tortillas are good, but a little thin for my taste(admittedly, I prefer very thick corn tortillas). Chips are good(but again, delicate). Tasty green chile and tamales, what a treasure this place is!

Yummy pork tamales! The vegetarian with cheese and green pepper are also good, and on the spicy side. Get a dozen to go. Tip: toast your tamales on a griddle or «comale» at home. Crunchy on the outside, hot and steamy in the middle.

I was never much into tamales, but Pochito’s has changed the error of my ways. Their tamales are the bomb — especially the green chile ones. Tortillas are great, the masa is m-awesome(tee-hee), and their empanadas are perfect. Did I mention inexpensive?

What isn’t there to love about this place(and I haven’t even tried the tortillas yet!)!! The tamales are super… fresh, delicious, perfect! Each day they have a different selection of options. They also have the most amazing green chile salsa… I’m completely in love with it. Perfect for tamales, tacos, anything! And the desert empanadas are a must to accompany everything else you just bought! ;)

This is one of those places that every local should know about as a staple for their tamales. Four or five different kinds of tamales, fresh tortilla, biscuchitos and empanadas, beans, rice, green chili all available at any time for a fantastic price. This is simply a store front and not a restaurant but I couldn’t think of a better meal for take-out. Go early, they close by five, I think.

Killer tamales and some of the best refried beans I have ever had. Some of their salsas are REALLY hot, so be careful, but if you’re a spice freak like me, you’ll be in heaven. Can’t recommend it enough.

I have read the reviews and decided to give them a try. I went yesterday because I was craving some tamales. I ordered the mild tamales. They were ok but I wish I would have purchased the spicy ones but that was my fault. I also purchased refrained beans, rice and the smoothered green chile. They prepare fresh items and they are then refrigerated. The smoothered green chile had a nice kick which worked out perfect when I smoothered it over the tamales with cheese. The refried beans were good but the rice was over cooked and It had corn, peas and green beans mixed in. The container also had water in the bottom of the container. I don’t like veggies in my rice so I just took it out. I think I will go back again and try the spicy tamales and tortillas. I make fresh tortillas at home but it will be nice to buy some fresh for a change. Great customer service.

My go to tamale and tortilla shop! The green chili pork tamales have a great kick and are always a hit. They freeze well too if you want to save them for lunches. The fresh tortillas are cheap and perfect for taco night. Go here, you will be happy you did!

Love the salsa! I mix it with a large can of crushed tomatoes and cilantro and it’s a perfect blend of spices. The chips are GREAT, green chile just like in Sante Fe! The tamales are the best in Denver… loaded with chili and pork. This shop is a weekly stop for me!

Tamales! Authentic tamales! Tired of not enough kick? Try both their green & red tamales which are both loaded with meat. Very friendly service in this little shop. Fresh soaked beans, homemade salsas, and legit rice. When picking out beans, look for the«whiter» liquid — meaning fresher beans! Ready to go back now!

23DEC2015 Tamales are now $ 14/dozen. Still a good deal. 15FEB2015 The red enchilada sauce is muy picante. My eyes are watering. This is a good thing. 14DEC2011 Los refritos son muy sabroso. OMG! Tonight’s dinner was: Pork Tamales, beans, chili verde from Pochitos. Yes, we were feeling lazy. Although, I did make prepared sour cream(from Diana Kennedy). The frijoles were the best that I have ever had. Tasty beyond compare. The chili verde is kick-ass. I wish it had more puerco in it, but that would not fit the style. A wonderful spicy concoction. The tamales are huge and«to die for». Denver needs more places similar to Pochitos. Get your butt over there. 31JUL2011 One dozen tamales for $ 10. One dozen delicious and hefty tamales for $ 10. They have other food, but I have not ventured beyond the wonderful tamales.

A friend of mine recently turned me on to the fresh tamales from Ponchitos Tortilla Factory. I’ve had both the vegetarian and the pork varieties and find both outstanding. For around $ 10 per dozen, a great deal given that each one is a meal by itself.
