This is often our go to spot when just looking for good food, great beer and comfortable atmosphere. Staff is hit or miss, but usually friendly and at least good. Food is tasty and never had anything to complain about and often something to rave about. beer selection is outstanding and I always find something I have been wanting to try. Relaxed and comfortable seating and atmosphere. The weekend brunch has called to us several times lately and we have answered. So try that. I am glad they have done away with with the wait in line to order then go to your seat. Seems like now it is table service all the time which is great!

Here’s a quick beer tip: If your beer comes served with zero head and has beer filled all the way to the top of the glass, then it is not being served properly. Foam releases aroma and changes the mouth feel of the beer. If there is no foam the beer will taste worse. Please train your bartenders how to pour a beer or properly carbonate your taps.

Tasty burgers. Creative menu. Prices are on par for area joints. Onion rings are awesome and the fried pickles! Extensive selection on beers. Specialty drinks are… just ok, mine was delivered w/no garnish ? Manager-host and bartender very attentive!

Service was top notch. We start work at 3AM and by 9AM several of us were ready for lunch. The staff helped us out and we were able to enjoy several Gambler burger’s. Great first experience. Food was cooked to perfection. Office mates loved the fried pickles. Way to go Sunnyside, we will be back.

The past three times we’ve eaten at Sunnyside we ordered takeout. What is the definition of insanity? Because I kept doing the same thing over and expecting a different outcome. Well maybe I did get a different outcome, worse each time. I really wanted to get a great burger and some really good sweet potato fries tonight. Well, there were hardly any toppings on the burger and they gave me aprox 10 fries. Really sad. I don’t think I will stay in denial about this restaurant, each time I’ve ordered I have been left very sad and lacking. If you’re looking for a big juicy burger with lots of toppings and a great side of fries, keep going. Sad sad sad.

Very tasty burger and good selection of beer. The veggie burger is worth trying as well. The first time I went was right after they opened and the service wasn’t great. The food was worth coming back for though. Since then, service has been no problem and the food is still delicious.

AMAZING burgers and I don’t eat meat. Their veggie Patty is the best I’ve had. All their toppings are SO good. The rolls are to die for. Highly recommend coming here.

There are so many things that I liked about Sunnyside Burger Bar. The atmosphere is comfortable and inviting. The patio faces south and with the addition of the garage door openings from the dining area, this is a great place to hang out. The happy hour deals are decent — wine, wells and beer between $ 3 – 5. Loved the hand-cut french fries which were hot from the frier, although they needed a bit of salt. But…if you name your establishment«Sunnyside Burger Bar» then the assumption is that you serve amazing burgers. The only thing great about my burger was the bun… literally. I ordered the«Hangover» which was described as «Hamburger with fried egg, bacon, fried potato and roasted green chiles. I love(!) a great gooey fried egg on my burger so I was excited to try this option. I ordered my burger medium-rare and was told by there server something about how they have ground meat and can’t server medium-rare(???), so i asked if I could just have my meat«pink» which she assured I could. What I received was a great(!) bun with a very hot hamburger patty(crispy on the outside) which was not even close to pink — it was well-done. Additionally, my fried egg was hard as a rock. When I asked my server if I should have specified how I wanted my eggs cooked she replied«well they fry them,» so this is how they come out. Sorry, but you can still fry an egg and have a soft yolk. I did not ask for a new«soft-fried» egg. I instead just removed the hard cooked(tasteless in my opinion) egg from my burger. Bacon, yes there was a slice. Roasted green chiles — there were a few, although I couldn’t really taste them. Fried potato… I think there was a single chunk of potato on my burger — pretty small, so I’m not sure. I was however expecting something more like hash browns, which is definitely not what I got. This burger on paper had my mouth watering. The burger I received left me cold and disappointed So, atmosphere — 4 stars, service — 3 stars, food — 2 stars(and I’m being generous). Seriously, this was probably the most disappointing burger I’ve had in a long time.

Props: One of the best burgers in town, I’m totally hooked! Fries are top notch, too. Beer list offers a good variety, some staples and some locals and I usually spot the latest beer craze on the list. The place itself is nice; I’m a fan of the layout, lighting, patio space, the whole feel. Meh: The staff is hit and miss as far as friendliness. I’ve never had a bad one, just neutral. I hope to see them upgrade patio furniture at some point. Full 5 stars from me. What they do great WAY outweighs the rest.

I have been here three or four times. My husband and I went to Sunnyside for our anniversary and it was delicious. Every time I have eaten here the food as been outstanding. The only sour experience I had there was a night where they were hosting karaōke. I wish I could remember who the karaōke guest was, but he was very inappropriate. He made very crude jokes, kept lifting up his shirt and he would make lots of statements about doing coke. Not the atmosphere I wanted to be associated with. I will be back for sure, just not for karaōke.

So, the ordering process is normal now and no problems there anymore. I have found that for how expensive most things are, you’re just not getting a lot of food. I’m also not in love with their fries… Always on the soggy side. The adult milkshakes are still awesome, if pricey, so I’m sure once in a while I will be back for one of those at least, but it’s not at the top of my list as a go to place like I thought it was going to be.

I really wanted to like this place but honestly #hopdoddy has a way better Burger. The burger we had was the OG which is literally a bun and a Patty that you put whatever you want on it. That would be OK if they didn’t literally charge you for everything: three dollars for a regular soda, 50 cents per topping. I feel like a restaurant should be prepared to put any item on their menu up against another restaurants and have it be a good representation of who they are. So I guess a plain Patty is an accurate depiction of what their food is. The people where nice though. That’s where the star came from.

I had to update my review since I had only been when they just opened and their ordering process needed some work. Today, I stopped in to grab something quick for lunch. The service was great, I received my order quickly, and it tasted really, really good! I got the Gambler which was amazing — fried avocado? YUM! They have parking(just about unheard of in this part of town) and a fantastic patio. Definitely worth a visit!

For one of Troy Guard’s restaurants, I’m really not impressed. The burgers were just okay. Especially compared to how amazing TAG burger bar is, I had higher hopes for this place The patties are really small compared to all other burger places. I’m also really bummed about the green chili cheese fries. I asked for a half order since the server had emphasized how HUGE the regular size is. Even then, I was still impressed with the size of the half order. I really wanted to dive right into a pile of comforting green chili goodness but I felt like I dived into a pile of mud. The green chili lacked in flavor and spice, the fries were overcooked and tasted burnt. It was just completely opposite of what I was expecting. I will praise them on their exceptionally friendly staff. I’ve read reviews for this place before that the ordering process made no sense They must have changed that before I came in because it was pretty simple ordering from the bartender since I sat at the bar. I will give this place another try though and definitely try one of their boozey shakes.

A nice addition to the neighborhood. Points on for one of the best patios in the area. Staff is warm and welcoming, great happy hour specials, a nice drink menu and excellent burgers. Not quite in contention for ‘best burger in town’ but solid offerings and some nice twists you won’t find everywhere. Well worth a visit! I look forward to seeing how they evolve.

The burger was awesome, decently inexpensive, fried pickles were awesome for only $ 4(tastes like a clausen pickle — which in my opinion are the best). Good beer selection, I liked how the waiteress used the iPad appropriately and was not distracting, and quick service. Only complaint was the music was pretty loud, but that may have been cuz I was a little hungover as well. :) I’ll definitely go back soon.

Beets and goat cheese on a perfectly cooked hamburger patty? Yes please! I had been interested in trying this place after hearing about it from a coworker last fall. It’s in a developing area and the business and location are great. I am a little surprised by their low review average, however there are some odd things happening. 1st– when you walk in its a little confusing if you are supposed to order at the counter or take a seat. 2nd– the employees don’t seem 100% engaged most of the time. I attributed that mostly to my visit being late lunch on a Monday. We sat at the bar. The menu offers beer pairing suggestions for the burgers so I decided to peruse before deciding on anything. I love Epic IPA– Escape to Colorado and it was paired with a burger with beets, basil aioli, arugula and goat cheese, perfect for me! My husband got the burger with pimento cheese and a PBR. He gets annoyed by order fries on the side. I made the decision we would forgo fries for the kettle chips with fat boy sauce for $ 4 as a starter. The kettle chips were huge for the price and delicious! Fat boy sauce? Sour cream piled with green onions, bacon and cheddar. These chips were perfectly cooked and seasoned, I’m still thinking about them. Both of our burgers were delicious! My husband already wants to return. I was a little turned off by the bartender ignoring and avoiding a friendly but unkempt man who came in for a beer while we were eating. He seemed a little rugged but he was nice and paid promptly so it just seems to me like she could have been friendlier.

Yum. I love a good burger and this place serves them up right :) I have had their Salmon burger, their umami burger and their paleo burger. All are delish. I particularly love their paleo burger. I love the taste variations in all their different burger types. Their salmon burger even has quinoa — yummers. Served fresh and with friendly smiling faces, I really love this place. I love that they have free parking too :) It’s going to be a busier spot in town in a few years, it’s nice that they have their own parking lot. Fries are good, service is awesome. I love that they have Boylans on tap — delish through and through! I’m coming back for some awesome milkshakes in the future. I will definitely be back again :)

I could see how the ordering process might get complicated due to how the flow is setup when you walk in. However, we went here for dinner and they’ve stopped doing the order up front thing. They say is at a nice booth. You get the sports bar feel with lots of tv’s circling the bar. They have large garage doors that open ip to a patio. We had the salmon patty on the Palio burger with multigrain bun and it was yummy. The ingredients tasted fresh and light. The onion rings were great and the super kale salad had lots of avocado and blueberries and was awesome. They have a goo drink menu and even some neat boozy shakes. Pretty big craft beer menu and even a decent wine list for a burger joint. I live that you can get a healthy burger. I’d definitely go here over the Royal any day.

I try burgers all over town and I have been watching the reviews closely. My lower rating comes from the size of their burger patty(5 ½ ounces). I ordered just a plain cheeseburger because I really wanted to try the beef. Just wasn’t enough for me to actually call it a burger. Better establishments use between 6 – 10 oz. The staff are cute but not real responsive. It was a Sunday afternoon and there were only four customers there. Not once did I get«how’s everything» or «can I get you anything». As a matter of fact I had to walk to the kitchen and ask the cook if I could get a few pickles. I’m not a real basher of establishments but this place didn’t «WOW» me. I can’t possibly see how they’re going to stay around. Not going for a second try. Hopdoddy at Union Station and Bad Daddy’s Burgers are at the top of my list. Get me a big juicy burger please!!!
