Awesome GEM that’s right off of wads worth. My wife and I kept hearing about this place from a friend of ours and as coffee lovers, we just had to come check it out. The coffee is amazing! I didn’t add any sugar, just how it was made. The perfect cup of coffee !

came here for a business meeting. it is a little off of the beaten path and tough to spot upon arrival. while the space is large, there is minimal seating. i didnt use the wifi or try any food, but the pour over coffee was delicious.

Just bought and finished a bag of their Santa Barbara beans. Tasted great! Glad a coffee shop here in Los Angeles(Paramount Coffee Project) carries & serves their beans! Did a V-60, cold brew on Sowden & lots of hot brews on the Sowden. Keep it up Sweet Bloom! I’ll be sure to visit next time I’m in the great city of Denver.

Perhaps just the tiniest bit overrated. I’m going to start off with the«bad.» This is another coffee purist location and they don’t really offer syrups or mochas or any of that stuff. That’s fine with me, but it limits the amount of people that want to go with me. That’s probably it for the only«bad.» Now there is one reason why I LOVE this place, their offerings. I believe there were 5 or 6 coffees that I was free to choose from. They make each cup by hand and I think that gives them more freedom to make one rather than just brew 1 or 2 options per day. That’s smart for people that like a particular type of brewed coffee. As for the coffee itself, very good. I did go with a Colombian. It’s not the best cup of brewed coffee I’ve had in Denver, but it certainly is in Lakewood. I appreciate that they do a better job with their own coffee than say, Spur does using beans roasted from here. You might get sticker shock seeing a $ 3.50 cup of joe, but it’s worth it I’d say. Just one tiny suggestion is to have just one or two house-made syrups so I can take my flavored latte loving friends here too.

Espresso is unlike any other! Andy has an impeccable knowledge for coffee, and very charismatic. Only thing some might not care for is the limited seating. Will definitely be back again soon!

I’ve traveled all over the world and never had coffee crafted this well. If you haven’t visited Sweet Bloom, you’re missing out!

This not only is the best coffee in Denver, but also in the entire state as far as I’m concerned. I am a black coffee drinker(just FYI) and I loved everything about this place. Their cappuccino was the smoothest I’ve ever tasted. The atmosphere is open, quiet and trendy. Proud to have this place on the west side of town! I will be getting all of my beans from here in the future as well.

Great coffee! The environment here is really relaxing, also those people who work here too. This place is my diving spot for desserts. Good for work and longer stay! This spot is new to my eyes, so I understand the big adjustment.

Solid coffee roaster just off Colfax. The location is unexpected bug once inside the space has a nice feel. I only bought beans which were recently roasted and very nice. The flavor and roast of the beans were excellent. What a great surprise.

Wow if you like iced coffee, I HIGHLY suggest Sweet Bloom. If you’re in the neighborhood, be careful that you might miss it. The only signage is small, and stands in the parking lot that needs some TLC. I only(thankfully) stumbled upon it because I work nearby and decided I was in need of a mid-day pick-me-up. And what I got here is a tasty pick-me-up! I got my coffee to-go(back to work that is). Only after I stepped foot outside did I realize the delicious liquid inside this plastic cup. It’s chocolatey, nutty, and smooth. Not bitter at all. It’s got a bit of sweetness to round it out. I also taste a bit of toffee. Oh hell, I wish I could swim in it instead of being confined to my office for the afternoon… The only bad thing is that it’s a little more costly than your average starbucks. $ 3.50 for a small iced coffee vs. maybe $ 2 elsewhere, but for the quality of it I’d say it’s worth it.

Great space. Friendly staff. We tried their Kenya pour over, Hometown Espresso, and cappuccino. They meticulously crafted our drinks perfectly.

This place gets 5 stars for its coffee & espresso. So good. I ordered a cortado for there and a toddy to go. Both were incredible. I had to ask for ice on the side because they won’t put the cold brew over ice so it doesn’t dilute it. But they were happy to give me a cup of ice on the side. Haha. Vibe is cool, but very minimal. They are focused on the roasting more than the retail so there is very little seating. But it’s cool either way. Really friendly baristas and great service. Will definitely be back… Tomorrow.

Great local roaster that is known Nationwide. This place is in a random location(near Casa Bonita) but worth going out of your way for. Super friendly baristas with a very non-pretentious vibe. Great selection of beans here too so you can make your brew at home. I often purchase from Blue Bottle or Corvus but have added Sweet Bloom to my coffee bean rotation! Very limited hours 7am-1pm and closed Sunday, so don’t make the drive and realize they are closed!

Had a latte with almond milk. It was one of the best cups of coffee I have ever had where I was savoring every sip and enjoying the amazing taste of the actual coffee — not any of the added sweeteners/syrups/flavoring etc. The place while a little off putting on the outside is really quaint inside with great natural lighting and an industrial chic feel. Definitely would recommend this place to everyone who loves a quality cup of coffee.

These guys appear to be serious about their coffee. I had an espresso and a cappuccino, and both were excellent. It’s interesting that the espresso bar is almost set up like a wine tasting area in front of the winery. The roasting machines and the work area are all exposed to the espresso bar. Except for the fact that they close at 1PM, it was a good place to work. The person closing up let me stay past closing until they were done. They were very friendly. Good Wifi: 18mbps

Andy, Congrats on your 1 year anniversary. This place is still going strong, can’t believe its already been over a year. Andy is roasting some of the best coffee you can find. Caleb the Barista will brew it up for your the way it was intended. Ask for a suggestion for something new or simply order your fav. Lately the coffee varieties are ever changing and always interesting. Take your time and enjoy a cup there. A well crafted cup can be enjoyable from start to finish.

This place blew my mind. Several folks highly recommended this coffee shop when I asked about great local coffee. The location is half coffee shop and half roastery. I like that it allows customers a «behind the scenes» look on how they roast. The menu is simplistic: basic espresso beverages(espresso, cappuccino, latte, café macchiato, americano), tea options, and pour over/aeropress brew. I ordered a shot of espresso and a cappuccino for here. Both were served in proper serveware and to SCAA standard. Both were absolutely delicious! The espresso had great crema(hazelnut/reddish color with dark flecking, persistency-consistency was spot on). The cappuccino was the perfect temperature and the milk-foam was glossy and consisted of microbubbles. Very balanced between espresso and milk. I also got to taste their Aricha Ethiopia brewed in an Aeropress and their Sulawesi brewed as a pour over. I’m amazed with both cups. Especially with the Sulawesi since it was super clean and sweet(I’ve tried other Sulawesi coffees and they’ve been muddy). Speaking with Andy and Caleb was a treat! They were super gracious and willing to chat and share their craft. I highly highly HIGHLY recommend this coffee roaster. I can’t wait to come back and visit them again.

Lately I’ve been killing two birds with one stone and taking my dog on walks to various coffee shops in the area that I’ve been wanting to try out. Today was Sweet Bloom. First of all, I want to acknowledge that my drink was very good. The coffee itself was delicious, not bitter at all. I have no doubt that they’re doing a great job with the roasting. But I still don’t think I will be prompted to return here often. Why? Well for one thing, I ordered an iced coffee and the guy working told me that I could get a cold coffee but that they didn’t have ice. OK, I guess that’s fine… but if you offer cold brew coffee then why do you not at least have a tray of ice cubes around? Sheesh. Very small size too. The space itself is not very welcoming; there’s not much in the way of seating. I’m sure they are more focused on roasting than on being a «coffee shop» but a little ambiance never hurt. The service was not rude but it certainly wasn’t friendly. I would buy a bag of beans from them but probably will not have this place in my regular rotation.
