This place is our fave so why not give it 5 stars? It really does deserve it. Great beer selection, great food, and great staff.

Can you imagine a place where dreams come true? By that I mean they have a jukebox loaded with Ke$ha songs. And people say that Disney World is the happiest place on earth… This place is pretty small. I have tried to come here before but it was pack and you seat yourself so you kind of have to stand there and prey on people who are finishing up their meal. The lighting is darker which is great because I happen to look like Britney Spears(current day not bald days) when it’s dark. They had a good selection of beer so I tried a few. I wish I could tell you which ones but obviously they were so good the name escapes me. I didn’t have dinner this time but I will have to come back and try it again. Just a random side note: the bathrooms need to get cleaned up more often. They are shared bathrooms and boys have coodies plus they leave papertowels all over the floor.

Definitely a great place to go on a pretty cool street. Don’t miss the patio in the back. Beers and food were great! Good vibe, good service. I will definitely return.

Been in a handful of times and never been very impressed. Food is always meh. Decent drink and beer selection. Unfortunately service is usually lacking. My latest and last visit included 2 bar staff not serving anyone while they engaged in conversations with their friends. Finally got a beer list after a couple minutes and then had to literally interrupt my bartender’s BS session with his buddies after a couple more minutes to get a beer. He then brought the beer and overcharged me by 55%. It took me a couple minutes to get their attention and have this rectified. All in all it was about 10+ minutes to get a beer with nobody else placing an order. Pot’s awesome, but not before work.

First time visit on a Monday evening. It was crowded inside, although the tables by the big open windows looking on the the street were tempting. We ended up on the back patio which had a very backyard feel to it. When we first arrived there were a couple of families letting their kids run wild, but after they left it was peaceful. The wicker seating seems to need cushions, but the overall feel is comfortable. Food wise we ordered the Belgian fries with 3 sauces to try. Medjool dates, grilled cheese, ahi tuna tartar, kale and fruit salad. Fries are pretty normal but enhanced by sauce choices. Husband loved the dates, ahi was delish and fresh. Salad was bigger than expected and pretty good. Grilled cheese was a little chewy with crispy bread. Waitstaff was friendly and helpful and timed their visits well. Price was just about right for portions and quality. Only caveat was they were out of wild boar for the sloppy joes and ipa battered fish and chips(due to a busy weekend prior?)

In a neighborhood with no shortage of fantastic restaurants West End Tap House is one of our favorites. With a great craft beer selection, full bar, and a menu filled with tasty locally-sourced foods, what’s not to love? Most recently I went with a group and we ordered a bunch of items for the table, so I got to sample a little of everything. The favorite bites were: The Charred Brussel Sprouts, if you want to pretend you’re eating healthy The Mac and Cheese, if you are ready to stop pretending, and just enjoy this delicious, creamy comfort food! Belgian Fries, because their fries, do you need another reason? If so, they have lots of delicious dipping sauces to try. I loved the Sriracha Lime. I’ve also had their other food, and they make a deliciously dreamy Burger with all natural beef, and an incredible Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sandwich. Their sweet potato fries are also delish. I haven’t had a bad dish at West End Tap House, and that’s really the best compliment I can give.

Dipped in for a quick bite before a show at the Oriental on a Thursday evening — it was NFL draft night, so there was some squads of folks gathered around the tubes. Looks like a solid local place — and also a solid second date night, as there were several couples scattered around and still pretty spiffed up ;) Enjoyed my short rib sandwich, fries and a brown ale — waitress was prompt and unobtrusive despite the tight quarters. Staff seemed friendly, place was clean and the menu was of the moment — a solid joint. The back patio was a tad smoky, looked cool with community tables — perhaps it is more diffuse when it isn’t raining.

I drink here regularly(not that I drink regularly), and West End has some really great beer on tap, and great service. The staff is always a really fun group, which adds to the experience. They have several TVs for sports, and they open up the front of the restaurant when it is warm out, which I love. I have only eaten here once, and it was an under-whelming bar burger, but I’ve heard most of the food is pretty good. 4-stars for these suckers because I always have a good time in this joint, I think.

They allow cigarette smoking on their huge back patio. Too bad because the food and drinks were good. But not worth inhaling smoke and smelling like cigarettes. Isn’t it illegal to smoke in restaurants now anyhow?

I love the outdoor patio here. It’s so nice on a sunny day. Also the staff is friendly and attentive and their Belgian fries are awesome!

This place is getting all these stars mainly because of the service! My friend and I walked over to Tennyson last night and decided to stop in here. The place was packed when we got there, and there really wasn’t anywhere to sit. We were sort of hesitating by the door and the bartender greeted us warmly and motioned us inside. Then one of the waitresses had some people scoot down at the bar so we could sit. I had a couple of whiskey sours, and they were really great! I saw the bartender making them and he’s good at his job. Plus the ice in the drinks was the crushed kind that’s kind of like hailstones. It made the drink a little bit unique and I loved it. Next time I’ll have beer when I’m here because their tap selection looks fun. We ordered the mac and cheese and sweet potato fries to share. The mac and cheese was yummy! The noodles were like half-moons(I don’t know pasta names, I’m not intelligent) and they held a lot of cheese in them, which was great. The fries were average, but we got horseradish dipping sauce with them. I’d never thought of pairing those flavors before and it was yummy. Anyway, we both liked it here and said we’d go back. The atmosphere was really friendly and really inviting. The staff and the customers were a lot less snobby than some of the places on the same street. I can’t wait to go in the summer when we can hang on the patio because it looks awesome! I think next time I’ll bring more of an appetite as well, because the burgers looked yummy.

West End is the quintessential neighborhood bar. A modern but rustic motif… It makes you feel comfortable. The patio is our favorite place to relax, dine and cocktail… Unless, of course, it is a «sports» day! The beer list is extensive, the cocktails are worthy, the food is homemade, creative and excellent(best burger and fries in Berkeley), staff is super friendly(thanks to Steve & Kurt /owners) and the Bloody Mary’s(our Sunday favorite) are blended with an incredible horseradishy mix . West End is our neighborhood«go to» place… No other bar has ever taken such great care of us. Check it out… there’s probably a stool calling your name.

Best place to eat on the block in my opinion. Maybe not the décor of some other places and not sure if it is a bar or a restaurant or both but the food is great. We accidentally came in on new years eve because all the other places in the area were packed and or closed. Glad we stopped in. Not supper family friendly because it is a bar but they have always been happy to seat us and serve us, and our kids like the shrimp and grill cheese. Again best place in the area to grab food or just hang out.

Went here for the first time last night(Friday) and the place was packed. After reading many of the reviews on here I was super excited for some tasty food.(Sadly, didn’t enjoy any of their awesome beer and wine selection because we’re having a dry month). First impressions: Very bar like, which makes sense given the name. I wish the music had been turned down a bit because it was crazy loud, especially on top of everyone socializing. Food: At a glance the menu looked amazing. We had a really difficult time deciding what to get. We decided on the Ham and Cheese Croquettes for an appetizer, I got the grilled cheese with a side house salad, and my boyfriend got the fish and chips. The croquettes were pretty disappointing. They looked like mozzarella sticks, but were slightly bigger. There were 3 of them with a cream sauce that had very little taste besides flour. The inside of the croquettes themselves were way too mushy. Would definitely not order those again. Our waitress was nice and everything was timely. I enjoyed my grilled cheese. The tomato dipping jam was a nice touch, although much better on the bottom of the ramekin(a little sweeter). I didn’t try the fish and chips, but my boyfriend said it was pretty standard. No better than other fish and chips we’ve had at other brew pubs in the area. Overall: Not very impressed. The menu looks great on paper, but could have been executed better. We will probably be back to check out the beer and wine list during a happy hour or to watch a game but wouldn’t come back just for dinner.

I’ve stopped in a few times, for food and for drinks, and I’ve found this to be a pretty good place for both! They have a large back patio, a decent beer selection, tasty vittles, and friendly staff. I don’t remember anything super remarkable, but it’s a really great neighborhood bar. A great place to bring your friends, make new ones, or just hang out and watch the game grabbing a beer with some grub! Totally fun spot to chill. In fact, I may go there right now…

I cannot praise this place enough. I spent this past summer in Denver and had the honor of meeting the owners, Steve and Kurt, as well as Chef Leif. It goes without saying, to me, that this is the best spot in Denver for an awesome beer list, a great environment for any occasion, and any one of Chef Leif’s special dishes he prepares each weekend. Both owners are very active in the establishment and you’ll always see them bartending and interacting with new guests and regulars alike. Stop in and bs with these guys about the beer they have and what’s on the way. You won’t be let down.

Great neighborhood pub! Awesome food, decent choice of local brews! Anyone who has tasty, quality elk chili on the menu gets my vote. It’s located on Tennyson. Parking can be hit or miss, but you will get a spot eventually.

This place draws you in with glimpses through the window, and inside does not disappoint. I’ve never had a bad waitress, the beer list is long and varied, and the food is always great. Definitely try their fries. I’m not a fan of their million choices of dipping sauces, but the fries really are delicious. On my first visit, friends and I ordered a large variety of items and shared them all to get a taste(hehe) for the place. The burger was good, mac and cheese, brussel sprouts, everything was good. There is a chill vibe with cool architecture and music. Although there are two layers of bartop, a Friday night will always find it full.

My goal recently has been to try new places around Denver. Well, this was my first visit here but it won’t be my last. I was impressed from the second I walked in the door. I really dug the atmosphere and the vibe. It has a modern feeling but the wooden tables add the ‘warmth’. It really reminded me of a place I used to frequent in Long Beach, if I’m being completely honest. And that’s a good thing. The beer list was really good. The steak sandwich was recommended and it was absolutely money. The waitress was attentive, nice, and just great. She really helped make the experience. I do have to agree with another review about TV’s and how he hates TV’s. I noticed that most place I go to don’t have TV’s and there is something to be said for that. I would love to see this place try to limit that aspect… I think it would really add something. But I’m sure the TV’s probably draw in business especially during playoffs and football season. If I’m seeking those out then I know this is a viable option. This is a place I would come to Tennyson for and given the other options, it could make for a good night of bar hopping.

Now this is my kind of place! What a great bar! I mean that it’s a large, comfortable bar with good seats and lots of room to relax and drink. The have a truly impressive tap selection and the bartender Jeremy is extremely good at his profession. Oh, and if you wander in here, swing in the back at check out the patio… SWEETSONUVAMONKEYSPANK is that amazing! It’ll ruin you for every other outdoor drinking spot you can name. Trust me. I can’t wait to come back here, this place rocks. Cheers!
