Horrible customer service. I have ordered twice from them. They are less than five minutes away and it still takes them way over an hour to deliver. Both times the driver left the food in the hallway of my office building. I wish I could pull back my charged tip. Not ordering from here ever again!

Decent food, ate here 2 years. One time it took 11 minutes to my door. No kidding. Now the 1 star part. All Hallow’s Eve. I order delivery near closing time, d*ck move, but I intend to give the guy plenty of scratch, but, the dude asks for a tip on the phone. I don’t understand this policy, bc I DO understand how tipping and commerce work. I call him back to understand this policy and I’m met with animosity, he cancels my order and hangs up. I thought about going in to complain the next day, but i do have better things to do. Even having to do this is jamming me up. today, I try to order… I’m black listed and the girl won’t even listen to my complaint. F these people, go to Wokano.

I was really craving some Chinese food and happened to drive by and decided to give it a shot… boy do I wish I had just kept driving. Ordered the cashew chicken, but not quite sure about the chicken part of it. If you spend $ 10 on a «lunch» portion I would at least expect some quality chicken. All dark meat and more gristle than actual meat. Nothing worst than feeling like I’ve wasted money. #Nevergoingback

The quest for good Chinese food continues. Just terrible, ordered the Sesame Chicken and the chicken was horrible.

Honestly, I think one of the better Chinese restaurants. I’ve had the orange chicken quite a few times and then one time I got sesame chicken. I have to be careful because I’m allergic to shellfish and sometimes Chinese food has oyster sauce in it or they cook a lot of shrimp with the chicken etc. or sometimes they use shrimp paste in certain things in Currys. I’ve never had any issues here with cross-contamination … I find it safe and delicious!

If I could give this place zero stars I would. The food is expensive and they had a nice looking menu so I thought I’d try it. Big mistake! This was some of the most low quality, disgusting Chinese food I’ve ever had. The sesame chicken was soggy, drowned in sauce that tasted like 90% sugar, and the meat was very low quality(lots of gristle). The wonton soup had a couple of undercooked wontons with almost nothing inside them, in clear flavorless broth. The hot and spicy shrimp was mostly big chunks of carrots, peppers and onions — not chopped up like good Chinese should be. To top it off they took 90 minutes to deliver the food, and even though they charge a $ 5 delivery fee the driver made me come down and meet him outside instead of coming up to my apartment. He was also very rude. Bottom line: expensive disgusting food and slow, rude delivery. Avoid this place.

This is a true story. Although the names have been changed to protect the innocent, everything is exactly as it happened. We ordered from Wok Uptown a couple weeks ago and it was great. We decided to order again the following week. The person who answered the phone. Let’s call him«James»(who I suspect was also the delivery driver) was rude and curt. At one point, he asked me what kind of rice I wanted with my meal. I foolishly blurted out«steamed!» My girlfriend said«no hon, fried.» The guy heard her and said«steamed? Fried? Steamed? Fried? WHICHISITDUDE?» I let that go. Then he rushed me through the order. I felt like I was on a time clock. And if I didn’t get his answers correct, he was going to hang up the phone. Weird right? So an hour later, the food shows up. My girlfriend volunteers to go down to the lobby to meet him and get our food. When she gets there, he says to her that he was expecting some guy, but that she was so beautiful that she made his night, blah-blah-blah. Was she flattered? No, she was creeped out. The food was cold but good. So the next day, we decided to order from them again despite what had transpired earlier. This time, when she met with him to get the food. He asked her out! She politely declined. He then proceeded to continually text her to ask her out on a date. Keep in mind that he got her number because she ordered food from the restaurant. Not because she wanted to be harassed by the delivery guy! When we got our dinner, I think there were 3 pieces of chicken and it was cold and over done. So I agree with one of the reviewers when he said this place was«hit or miss.» Bottom line? Between the rudeness, late delivery, hit or miss cuisine and the harassment, we will never order from here again!

DONOTTRY!!! We wanted to try a new Asian restaurant on a Sunday. Looked on GrubHub and found this place. Most places that deliver on GrubHub charge a delivery fee. This one was $ 5. We also tipped on top of that. Got a call from the driver when he was 5 minutes out asking which door we would be at. When asked if he was coming up to our apartment, he said he never goes to the specific door and that we’d have to come down. That was annoying as we paid for delivery PLUSTIP, but we brushed it off. Upon opening our food, we discovered that the Chicken Panang Curry was more Veggie Panang with a few SCRAPS of chicken. NOTEVENENOUGHFORONEFULLSERVING!!! Crab Cheese Wantons were also over cooked and not great. We’ll NEVER order from here again! DONTWASTEYOURMONEY!!!

We used to order lunch from here more frequently, but it really seems it’s just gone down hill. We ordered the sesame chicken and the lo mein lunch specials today and I’m very unimpressed. The lo mein was greasy, overcooked, and hardly had any meat. The sesame chicken was overbreaded and chewy– in a bad way. The consistency was just really off. I won’t be dining here again, and seriously if anyone has a suggestion for good chinese food in Denver– I AMALLEARS!

The food quality has continued to decrease from Wok Uptown over the years tremendously! The last 3x we have ordered food from them has been really horrible. It almost feels like their business isn’t doing well so they have been cutting numerous corners in order to save profits. This in return equals crap food most of the time for their customers. I would suggest with all the new competition in town that they step-up there Chinese game or else bye-bye!

When I was little® I really tried hard to get a star on my work product. So maybe that’s also Wok Uptown’s idea. Well they’ve wildly succeeded. By serving me a dish made with oil that tasted rancid they get that coveted star review. Congratulations, WU, you totally«eek-ed» me out. Sign me, David«No ‘Ni Hao’ «M.

Absolutely terrible food. Disgusting. Delivery is fast-ish and that’s the only perk, but I won’t be calling them again.

We order from here quite often because it’s convenient and close to where we live but the quality is always hit or miss. We’ve had meals that have been fantastic and then the next week we order the same thing an sits not nearly as good as the time before. The prices are also pretty high compared to other places though Chinese food in general is somewhat had to find in the Uptown/Cap Hill/Five Points area. We tend to order Kung Pao Chicken, Cashew Chicken, Sesame Chicken or Pad Thai. The spring rolls are fine but nothing special. I’m sure we will continue to order from here because of convenience but it’s disappointing that the quality is always so inconsistent.

I’ve only been here once but I have to say I’m surprised by the low Unilocal rating on this place. Service was top notch from the beginning to the end of the meal. My Thai green curry was among the best I’ve had in Denver and my girlfriend’s Lo Mein was exactly what she(a Lo Mein connoisseur of sorts) looks for. They forgot an order of rice that came with our meal but they brought it out quickly after it was brought up, comped our crab cheese wantons(which were also great) and gave us some free cookies after apologizing profusely. Prices were moderate — not sure what $ 60 order person got but I’m guessing it wasn’t just two entrees. Atmosphere was quiet and pleasant, especially considering this place is located on a very busy street corner.

I really wanted to give this place the benefit so we gave it a try. I walked in and was greeted promptly. We ordered food to go. There were 2 of us and we ordered what would be a basic meal at a chinese restaurant. 1 appetizer, 2 dishes and some noodles. The price? Almost 60 bucks. I was a bit shocked at the prices, but we were there and I didn’t feel like going anywhere else. Rude? Not at all. The staff up front were very friendly. They offered us tea while we waited for our to-go order and then brought it out promptly. So aside from the high prices, so far the experience warranted maybe a 3-star review. I get home, open our food and as I start to dish out the sesame chicken, there is a very long, black hair mixed right into the food. Absolutely disgusting. Had this been dollar chinese food I would have said, «Ya get what you pay for.» But with the price we paid for this food, that is absolutely unacceptable. Like I said earlier, I was tired and hungry and it was cold and snowing outside so I was in no mood to go back to the restaurant to complain. We simply tossed the sesame chicken out and ate the rest. The rest of the food was ok. Seriously, nothing to rave about. Overall, the quality of the food is not worth the prices they are charging and the lack of quality that resulted in a long piece of hair in our food leave me no choice but to rate this place with one star. Get it together Wok Uptown!

I WILLNEVERGOTOWOKUPTOWNEVERAGAIN. I ordered on a Sunday afternoon at 2:30p. They said it’d take an hour for delivery, which I already anticipated and understood. Then, the driver absolutely ruined my experience with Wok Uptown. At 3:35p, he called to confirm at which entrance to meet me and that he’d be at my complex in a few minutes. So, within 30 seconds of ending the call, I went to wait for the driver at the door I directed him to. I stood outside for 5 minutes(from 3:35p to 3:41p), and did not see any delivery drivers(only 2 cars drove by during that time, both full of passengers). He called at 3:41p to say he was leaving«because I never met him.» After I explained that I waited outside for 5 minutes by the door, he argued that«I must really not want my food so he doesn’t want to deliver it.» After he threatened to not deliver my food, he finally decided to meet me.(Really? How grateful of you to meet me for the service I PAIDYOU to perform.) I immediately went outside again and he STILL wasn’t there. Then, he came speeding around the corner, stopped in the middle of the road and he yelled again«I DONTHAVEALLFUCKINGDAYTOWAITFORYOU» as he threw my food at me through his open window, and then started to speed off again. Before he left, I explained AGAIN that I waited 5 minutes before going inside for 30 seconds to get his number to call. He was absolutely the RUDEST person I’ve ever dealt with(and that’s coming from a long-time restaurant worker). If that’s how he interacts with Wok Uptown’s customers(or if this is indicative of how all of their employees act), then you all need to understand that’s not how you treat/talk to paying customers. This was my first experience with Wok Uptown and it will be my last. He didn’t leave a name anywhere on the receipt, but I have his phone number if the business owner cares enough to correct a horrible, horrible employee. So, if you still want to give business to Wok Uptown after this review, then the food was mediocre, at best. And(not surprisingly) it was cold when it arrived.

I’m surprised to see all the negative reviews on service! When I called to order, I thought the 2 people I spoke with were very polite! Nothing amazing or earth shattering customer service wise but I’m not exactly sure what you expect when ordering takeout? The most I expect is a «hello, what would you like. Ok the price is ___» and that’s what you get. Who need frills on the phone when ordering Mu Shu Pork? Anyway, rant over. Delivery guy was so friendly and the food came in about 40 minutes which I’ve found is pretty typical for my busy neighborhood. Mongolian beef is EXCELLENT. Its one of my favorite dishes and I’m always looking for one that that is extra peppery and onion-y. This place delivered on that. Also the beef was maybe the most tender I’ve had from a delivery place! Wontons are basic wontons, which of course means they’re good and ours were free! I’m not sure why but I say anything free is A-OK! Orange chicken: great. The aforementioned Mu Shu Pork: Delish. Overall, food is delicious, delivered quickly and with a smile. A pretty cute delivery boy smile, if you ask me. They DID forget one of our orders of rice which was pretty sad because I was looking forward to trying the fried rice. I will absolutely be trying this place again! Huge menu with lots of basic meat, vegetable and sauce combinations.

I liked my food, the Cantonese Noodles. The price for a single person, small egg drop soup and a meal, no drink, for takeout…$ 18. Ouch! Not worth it, not even close.
