I took my machine here for repair about a month ago… never mind that I bought it here about 2 years ago and barely used it. The service was lackluster and the bill was steep. I complained to the owner and she phoned me to say that she would take care of it. I never heard back from her. So, buyer beware!

I was visiting one of my girlfriends who moved to Buffalo. Unlike me, she is very crafty and creative. She’s actually the person that convinced me to try to crochet and knit, however that didn’t turn out too well because my kits are still just sitting in the closet! Lol Regardless, whenever I’m with her, she gets the creative juices flowing in me. Since we last hung out, she had taken up a new hobby of sewing and had to pick up some fabric for a purse she was making. We ended up at Sew On — Sew Forth, which had become her go-to place for all her necessities. You wouldn’t be able to miss Sew On — Sew Forth. Aside from the old«Singer» sign outside, there’s also Thread/Needle, Scissors, and Sewing Machine cut-outs on the side of the building. The inside has a very comfy, cozy feel with a variety of antiques displayed and their cute chandeliers. It’s neat how they have vintage Singer machines on display also. The women working there are so sweet, friendly, and helpful and they remembered my friend. They were telling us about the various events they have such as their«Soup N Sew» Fridays that they have. They have a ton of different themed fabrics and threads and lots of patterns also. There are also sewing machines set up around the store, probably for lessons. Very nice small, local business.

I went to the store on a recommendation from someone who lived in the area when I mentioned I was looking into buying a sewing machine. She said that SOSF was the only place to go. I new exactly where the store was when she told me because I’ve often notices the old fashioned«Singer» sign outside, but it didn’t look like much, so I was kind of hesitant to go in. I decided to stop in one afternoon when I happened to be driving by. As soon as I walked in, three extremely friendly ladies greeted me and asked if they could help me out. I explained to them that I had no idea what I needed and that I was a novice sewer. They assured me that I had come to the right place! They showed me several models of machines and sat me right down at one and started to show me how to use them. I was amazed at their eagerness and enthusiasm. They offer lessons that come free when you purchase a machine from them, which was right up my alley. They also had a whole slew of fabrics and trims, etc. Cant wait to go back.
