By far one of the worst Burger King I’ve been too. It took 15 min for us to get our food in drive through. Poor customer service… Its a good thing I didn’t go during peak time or else it would of taken longer. Defiantly not worth $ 15/hr. Must suck to suck…

I’ve been a Burger King fan ever since it was my go-to lunch stop between college and work way back in the ‘80s. This Burger King, at Douglas and Merle Hay, was pretty close to our hotel during our recent stay in Des Moines, and we went there twice. Big mistake. It is a pretty typical Burger King, and looks relatively new. The food is the standard fare. But both times we were there — BOTHTIMES — an employee(his name tag said Jose) absolutely ruined our experience and made us very uncomfortable. His behavior toward another employee, a young lady, was absolutely unacceptable. He called her all kinds of names, including ones my kids should not have heard. I don’t expect to hear someone be belittled and verbally abused at a restaurant. The young lady just continued to do her job in a friendly and efficient manner — kudos to her — because considering how upset it made me, an innocent bystander, she, the target, must have been livid! I turned it into a lesson on bullying once we got back to our hotel room. My kids saw firsthand that bullying is not confined to children and school. Control your employees, Burger King! Bullying is NOT okay!

Slow service. Waited for my meal for over 10 min. Floors were sticky. Thought I would come to get a burger here since I haven’t had Burger King in awhile. Not sure if I will come back here again.

This Burger King opened up approximately three weeks ago so its brand spanking new! The inside is really small but there is still about 15 tables of seating. Everything looks very clean and the design/architecture is very straight edged. Service was friendly and fast. However, they had a dollar menu which I thought I had ordered from but I was charged two dollars instead of one for my item. Parking is available in their private lot.
