It’s a good place for a sweet treat. Usually friendly service, ready to let you sample any and all flavors. The freshness of the toppings is not always the best.

Meeting friends here is always fun! I always get the seasonal flavors– Most stores offer samples– this one does only if it’s not busy! Anyway– I am a fan yes, those toppings add up! I try to get the ones that are harder to find or you don’t have at home! Something I think too hard and imagine what is lightest–

Excellent choice of flavors available, great toppings. Why only three stars? I like the base frozen yoghurt at some other froyo chains better, and overall the dirty furniture and general appearance of this particular location was a little bit of a turn off. With so many other options close by with better presentation of a better product I’m hard pressed to send a friend to this store over the others. Still a tasty dessert, and the cup separators to allow multiple flavors is genius!

I heard a ton of my coworkers talking about this place so I decided to give this place a try. I have been to different frozen yogurt shops where it is self-serve. This place is no different, same nice interior décor with a clean and straightforward line to assemble your frozen yogurt. They have a descent amount of flavors to choose from and many topping options. I came here after eating at Gustos pizza next door and it was a nice dessert to top off the night. Would definitely come back again.

Service was great. The woman working there readily offered me sample cups without me even having to inquire for some. Price is fair. I asked about the student I.D. discount and she said there wasn’t anything of the sort however. I picked the cup that came with a big brownie already in it. Didn’t enjoy the brownie; tasted stale. Flavors were good — not annoyingly sweet and a good balance between cream and icy. I’m not a particular froyo snob to begin with though. I like everything from Yogurtland to Red Mango and now Orange Leaf too. I thought their boba was made pretty well. It’s the popping boba kind though it’s labeled simply as boba.

The service at this location probably could be better. But I guess that I got lucky with one of the employees catering to me, when I was a newbie. Now, I just sort of go in and out and get my usual discounts. I got 1oz free from checking in on Unilocal,so that is heads up. Otherwise, I believe that there is a discount on every Wednesday or Thursday. Though students get discounts every day of the week, if that pertains to you(i.e. show your student id or tell them to trust you ;)). In comparison to Menchie’s Frozen yogurt shop, this location is much larger with more options for toppings and yogurt. Also, the frozen yogurt is made at Orange Leaf on a daily basis, whereas Menchie’s is shipped from a Kosher supplier. This is what I heard though, so take it at what it is worth. I like that they have the usual flavors and switch up several every so often. My favorites are: Banana Wedding Cake Cheesecake Butter Pecan Chocolate Raspberry Mango Pistachio I like that they have a lot of nut and fruit toppings. With the discounts and points card, it is a nice option for those cravings.

I’m going to have to agree with Nicole G. on the part about terrible service. The place is seriously overflowing with happiness, bright colors, fun utensils, giant-child furniture… and then there’s the grumpy cashier. I don’t need obnoxious over-the-top giddiness, but at least bare-minimum customer service would have been appreciated. I’d never been to Orange Leaf; I know each business has its own style, so I wasn’t quite sure about samples and stamp cards, etc… nothing. Or apparently nothing. As an Orange Leaf virgin I feel like I should have been guided a little bit better. I saw the sample cups hiding around a corner on my way out. While I was eating I saw people use their SPOONS to taste different flavors from the machines. They DOHAVE stamp cards, but when I asked about them she said, «yeah, here you go,» and handed me a card off a stack of new ones. Thinking maybe I was unclear and she thought I asked for a business card, I tried again and asked, «Don’t you do like buy ten get one free or something?» «Yeah, but your transaction is already cleared out, so I can’t do it.» «…you can’t?» «Well you didn’t tell me you had that until after I cleared it out.» Obviously I didn’t know you had these things, that’s why I asked! I set the card back down in the stack and said I’d try next time. Unfortunately for Orange Leaf, I’m not sure there will be a next time. Due to the stamp card thing, the sample thing, and a lack of pineapple in the topping bar… I’ll opt for other places over this one.

I believe that the new orange leaf opened on the 15th of august. I have to say I am a fan of it, but I still prefer pinkberry. Given that I do not think pinkberry is coming to DSM anytime soon, I would highly recommend going here to get your frozen yogurt fix. The toppings are always fresh and the yogurt is good, especially the peanut butter. I just wish they had a better tart flavor in comparison to some of the others I have had. I will be back to try more flavors soon!
