I usually go to Phở 515(inside C Fresh Market) whenever I have a craving for Vietnamese cuisine. Today I tried their bun bo hue which satisfied my craving, but the broth was a little on the sweet side even after adding hot sauce and fish sauce. They used a different kind of noodle than I’m used to.

Worst cooks , Getting right to the point: ***There was a golf ball size rice BALL that was extremely hard old dry rice. ***1 of the 3 water taste like chlorine. *** the duck was cold, not even room temperature The phở was warm but not enough to even cook a thin slice of meat The good: The phở taste good Services was good

Service is usually pretty good here. Can get busy at times, but the servers are quick. Order at the table and pay at the counter. What we usually get: Phở — you cannot go wrong with this dish here. Usually our go to dish when we come. Decent amount of meats and noodles and your usual vegs. Fried rice combo — shrimp, bbq pork, chicken and eggs. Lots of vegs and cilantro. Our son loves this dish. It comes with small broth bowl too. Pork chop dish — it is not the best around town, but comes with pork chop, shredded pork skin, fried egg, steamed pork/egg, tomato, cucumber and lettuce. Dipping sauce and broth bowl comes on the side. Dynamite shrimp roll — cream cheese with shrimp. Served with dynamite sauce(mayo and hot sauce). Phở fried noodles — they pan fry wide rice noodles and put a stir fry on top. Mixture of broccoli, carrots, and meats. Café sua da — cant go wrong with iced coffee! Other dishes that are okay imo: Bun bue hue, crispy pork with rice, egg rolls, and crab rangoons.

Great Phở. Nothing fancy but the broth tastes really good. Inside C Fresh Market grocery store.

Typical vietnamese restaurant in des moines. Their phở is okay, nothing special to rave about. I’ve been here many times, yet I only had their phở once. Since they’re located inside a vietnamese grocery store, it was convenient for me to eat here often. Today I had their special soup(bun mam), it’s my favorite soup of all time and I was ecstatic I no longer need to travel to California to eat this soup. It’s not the best, but it’s pretty decent. Hopefully they will improve this soup.

We’d heard about this little phở shop inside C Fresh from friends and decided to give it a shot. P2 + PC8 with extra tofu/veggies = $ 16.30+tip. The phở was very good, but very sweet — that might be the only thing I would change. The veggies are fresh, as well as the herbs. The traditional hot plate has roasted garlic chili oil & that is our favorite. The setup of the restaurant is cozy, I really love the feel and the separation from the market. It’s first-timer friendly too, we walked in and felt welcomed and inviting. Staff was incredibly attentive, filling waters and checking on us often. We will definitely be back, the atmosphere was upbeat and lively.

It is much better than you’d expect for a grocery store restaurant. It is a bit noisy though, but that’s to be expected due to location. The menu is very extensive and the service is always quick and friendly. The Phở is better than the other Phở places in town and around the same price point too. Win win.

Went to C Fresh Market with co-workers to buy some items for our work’s upcoming International Food Fair and we decided to have lunch at Phở 515. The restaurant is located inside the market near the back left hand corner. There are plenty of seats available and the service was very prompt. For this place being inside a market, the menu is quite extensive. They have sort of an open kitchen, and everything looks clean too. You’ll find the usual items that you would normally find at Vietnamese restaurants. So you will see all types of Phở dishes, banh mi sandwiches, spring rolls, vermicelli dishes, and other noodle dishes. I ordered the large bowl of phở with beef and meatballs, which cost $ 9 including tax. The regular sized bowl cost $ 6.95 w/out tax. It came with the usual bean sprouts, mint, and basil. When the phở came out it looked very… hmm what’s the word I’m looking for…“fresh” :) The broth tasted like it was cooked for today and there was plenty of beef, meatballs, and noodles. The phở was not bland at all, which has happened at other restaurants. Overall, I was very satisfied with Phở 515 and will definitely go back and try their other dishes. Plus they have roasted duck and pork that looked very appetizing! Also, once you’re full from eating, you can walk around the market and burn some calories and buy more food :) It’s a win win situation!

Delicious spring rolls and phở soup. My kids beg to come here. The atmosphere is not 5 stars but to be expected for a restaurant in a grocery store. I can’t wait to try their pad Thai dish!

Grilled pork chops here aren’t seasoned like standard Vietnamese restaurants. It had a strong curry flavor and was just not very good. The vermicelli noodles were also thicker than the typical vermicelli noodles used for the dish I ordered. They messed up our order and gave us the wrong entrée. We asked for our egg to be well done, but they still gave it to us raw in the inside. The guy taking our order didn’t write the numbers down, so that could be why he remembered incorrectly. But maybe he should start writing it down anyway(they write it down at the counter already, so why not just write it as he’s taking our order?) When we dined in, there were spider webs all over the napkin holders, etc. :(

Recommended by many friends. I would have never even thought to look inside the market for a restaurant! It is an unexpected spot. I tried it once last month and have already been back three times. Love it. This broth is spectacular. I can’t wait to go back again. Everyone is super sweet and helpful working there too.

Good inexpensive vietnamese food. Had the phở and grilled pork with noodle. Both were good, but the eggrolls were delicious! Got 6 banh mi to go and my total was $ 39 for everything, not including tip.

When I first saw this posted I thought to myself«Wow! A new phở place?!» turns out it’s the little phở shop inside C Fresh market, I just never knew they were called Phở 515! I’ve eaten of here plenty of times, pretty much every time I go to C Fresh to buy something I have to stop here for some food. Their phở is excellent, but the eggrolls are the main attraction for me. They are made fresh and are very good! The staff members are all very friendly here! The seating area for this place is off to the side, keeps you away from the hustle and bustle of the busy grocery shoppers. I recommend this place to anyone looking for good phở and eggrolls! The price is excellent as well!

Low prices, good food. Split some spring rolls(which were huge) and a bahn mi and ordered the large everything phở. Had enough leftover for a second meal. There is zero ambience(it’s in a grocery store) but it’s clean and friendly.

It is only my first time eating there. I got a to go order pork chop and rice. The wait time was about a average it seemed maybe a tad bit long but it might be because I was bored. Bringing my order home I realized I forgot some of what was on the menu in my order. The food was ok the pork chop with seasoned different than most of the other Vietnamese restaurants around the area. This is not a bad thing it was just different the pork was also very fatty and chewy. The veggies were very fresh and pretty good but that just cucumber lettuce and tomatoes. Unlike most Vietnamese restaurants around the area this is strictly Vietnamese food.
