We get delivery from here all the time. The food is great and they have lots of types of noodle dishes I hadn’t seen on a menu since I lived in San Francisco. The Philippino food is good too. Try the garlic fried rice!

My coworker ordered some food from here last week. I had forgotten my lunch, so he said he would share his with me as he had ordered enough food for two meals. I rode along with him to go pick it up, and we asked the woman at the register if it would be ok for us to eat the food there, as I had decided to come last minute, and she was very reluctant to let us sit at a table. She explained that the tables were meant for servers to attend to and that it wouldn’t be right since we ordered takeout. Now, there was not a single customer in the restaurant besides us so it’s not as though we would be taking up valuable space Finally, she grudgingly said we could, but warned us not to do the same thing next time. Ok lady, fine. We picked up the food and started walking toward the back corner of the restaurant in an attempt to be more inconspicuous for the sake of the woman’s concern. As we started to go, she shouted, «Nuh-uh-uh-uh-uh! This is not a McDonald’s, you can’t just take your food anywhere! That area is for the servers!» and she tried to usher us into some seats in a special party room near the front of the restaurant. At this point I said, «No, I think we’ll just leave.» I am appalled at the rudeness of this woman. «This is not McDonald’s»? She acted as though we had brought food in from another restaurant and tried to eat it there. We bought the food from HER, why would she treat her own customers like that? Not to mention, we probably would have ordered at least something to drink from the server, and definitely would have tipped. I don’t think we’ll be going back again.

The owner is super nice. I ordered take out a few minutes before lunch was ending and he still let me do the lunch specials. Upon arrival, my food was ready and well packaged. Since I was carrying my baby in his car seat, he insisted on carrying my order to my car for me. He even threw in free cookies. I really appreciated the help and thought he was so sweet. The food itself was tasty. I ordered the pork belly sinigang and it was perfect. I also had the sago drink and drank that thing in 5 seconds. The beef chow fun lunch special was huge! It me a while to finish all of it. Def planning to come back and order again!

Some of their foods are really good. I always order food for delivery. But everytime i looked in to what i order something is missing. This happens everytime i order food. And today im missing a large rice which is i think the most important part of the meal. And now im waiting for the driver to get the rice at restaurant and drive back again here, which i think will take time.

I miss the way this restaurant was run in Mount Prospect… it has become very expensive and the employees answering the phone tend to ignore special requests.

Well made a copy of my menu we had delivered tonight I must say they were very fast. So why was the food cold my guess is as good as yours. Egg rolls were good best part of the meal. The sauce on the ribs and BBQ pork was awful . I think my wife spent more time in the bathroom than eating. The beef fried rice was swimming in Grease . The chow fun noodles were all cold and stuck together. From House Of Szechuan ORDERINFO Item Qty Price 101. House Egg Rolls(2 Pcs) 103. Cantonese Barbecued Ribs(6 Pcs) 104. Love the ambiance. Well decorated. Love the wide selection of Filipino menu. My picky little girl love their crispy crunchy lumpiang shanghai. The owners are very nice and very accomodating. They even give my daughter a free bear. Will come back again

Arrived at Szechwan at 8:30pm and asked for a table. The hostess said take-out only because they close at 9pm. I told them it looks like I’ll be enjoying take-out and asked for a menu and she responded with I need to hurry because the chefs are leaving. I asked if they were open until 9 like it said on the door and she said it depends, usually they close at 8 or 8:30 and are only there until 9 if it’s really busy. Won’t go back with service like this. 2 stars for nice décor.

I called 10 minutes before they closed and the girl that picked up said the cooks went home early and I believe she only said that because she didn’t want to take my order. I’m shocked any establishment would do that to their customers

I ordered takeout on NYE at 6 p.m. Was told it would take an hour and a half — which is understandable, being a holiday. At 8 p.m., still no food, so I called again. Was told there were no delivery items out, so the driver must be out with it, and it would be here within 45 minutes. The guy didn’t even check/know where my order was, and obviously didn’t care to check. At 9:10 p.m., still no food. I was told that the driver was back out delivering orders — again, the guy would not even check on my order and was giving a generic answer. I explained how long we had waited. No offer for amends, no sincere apology. I canceled the order. Ten minutes later(about the time it takes to drive from their location to my house), the delivery guys shows up. I tip him and start to explain what happened and ask that he let his management know, and as I am speaking, he turns and walks away. I understand that NYE is busy. What I can’t stand is bad service at anytime. If they tell me an hour and a half and I give them two hours… I expect the service they promise. If they had told me a three hour plus wait at the beginning and I accepted that, I would have been okay — but to not keep their word, not specifically check on my order when they were called, make up stories about their delay and mistake, not sincerely apologize, and send some rude kid to deliver my food that gets a healthy tip and walks away while I am speaking? Unforgivable service at ANY time.

My family had a «Jewish Christmas» Eve dinner here this year. For years, whenever we got Chinese food, we’d go to another favorite spot of ours… until this year. My parents had recently started coming here for dinner and wanted to do Christmas Eve here. So we did. Well, it was packed. We didn’t have to wait for a table, but service wasn’t the fastest. I think we were there for about two hours… which was kind of long. After appetizers, I think we were all ready to leave. At least the servers were friendly and cracking jokes! Service aside, let’s talk food. For an appetizer, I had the calamari, which was good but just a bit chewy. For dinner, I had shrimp fried rice and chicken chop suey. SOGOOD. My family all enjoyed their dishes too. However, the portions were so huge I could barely eat a few bites in each dish before I was stuffed. And get this — EACH of us at the table had one or two large dishes. Needless to say, there were PLENTY of leftovers. Word of advice if you eat here: order food with the intention of sharing unless you want enough food for a few meals. Now, although there was a huge bill that night(five people, multiple plates and appetizers), the price per dish was pretty good. My shrimp fried rice was about $ 9 and the chop suey under $ 13. Fortune cookies accompanied our meal. The fortunes are kind of hit or miss, but I don’t make a big deal out of those. Definitely a good Christmas Eve dinner! [Well, this is my last review of the year. 2015 was an interesting year! Cheers to the future…]

I ordered beef w/broccoli with fr. wings as appetizer. The food tasted old and the fried chicken had a horrible scent once you bit into it. Money wasted and they are expensive compared to other Chinese restaurants in the area who’s food is fresh and less expensive. I haven’t nor will not order from them again

I ordered Pad Thai and Crab rangoon for delivery with grub hub, it was awful, it had a fishy smell, the pad thai dish was basically plain noodles and barely any chicken, no pad thai flavor what so ever! very disappointed and will never order again. $ 30 meal went to waste!

I don’t know why people are complaining about the service, but they took care of us. Maybe they were busy during the time. Anyway, I tried this place because apparently they serve filipino food since there are not a lot of those in the chicagoland area. I was not dissappointed. The food we ordered were longsilog and lechon kawali they were good. I would definitely be coming back and bringing more people. I would like to tell you ahead that the leche flan is kinda different from the authentic filipino one.

I’ve been going to this place for many years. They have a nice and clean restaurant. And their Sunday filipino buffet is okay for the price. But some of their food is loosing taste nowadays. I ordered Tinola, Sisig, and Fried Rice and they weren’t good. The only thing good I liked was the kaldereta. I don’t like their Egg Roll either it has a nutty taste.

My sweetheart took me here for lunch years ago. We ordered the Dinner for two. It give you a great mixture of dishes to try. The décor is excellent and its a quiet place. The wait staff is interesting but I think that is just a cultural thing. Anyway they give you so much food that you always have a doggy bag. I brought the kids here too and they absolutely loved it too. My sons favorite the Mongolian beef. I love the egg rolls and crab Rangoon. I highly recommend eating here. The food is tasty and plentiful.

I absolutely LOVE coming to this place! The food that I order(typically spicy Mongolian beef) is consistently great and the fried rice is amazing. I have a hard time finding good Chinese places to eat, but this one does it right. The owners are friendly and the lunch specials are really tasty with a more than reasonable price. Would highly recommend to friends and family!

We used to order form this place and the food was good. Then it started to get bad. The food had no flavor. We found a new place where the food was good. We wanted Chinese today, and the place we were ordering from didn’t answer their phones. I pulled out the old House of Szechwan menus and reluctantly ordered. To our surprise the food was very good. I guess we are back to ordering here.

We tried the tidbits combo for two, sweet and sour chicken and walnut shrimp. Everything was absolutely delicious, but I have to say the crab rangoon was a little too sweet. My favorites were the egg roll, BBQ pork and walnut shrimp!!! There were so many flavors and everything was so tender! I can’t wait to try more items on the menu next time!
