For what it does, it does it well. Electronic music in a venue that isn’t the works. Security inside and out, so if you park in front, not too much to worry about. Smoking out front. Two rooms. Great sound. Questionable bar, since they ran out of PBR, then ran out of Bud Light, then got more PBR, then got more Bud light, then ran out again. You get the idea. Bartenders were friendly and poured stiff. Thats the short of it. We came here to see DJ Funk, DJ Seoul, T Linder, Vinsanity and all the others I am too tired to look up. We showed up just before 11pm, so we avoided the slightly higher cover charge. Yay. Security was a breeze and extremely friendly. Ended up getting to know one of the guys because I went out smoking enough. Always a good sign! Parking is. interesting. This venue is in a neighborhood, and basically, thats what you get for parking. Porter St. itself isn’t too bad, since its mostly lit and within eyeball-shot of the club itself. We didn’t have much trouble finding parking, but if it had been more busy when we showed up, could’ve been a problem. The bar confused me. They kept running out of things, then magically having it back in stock… and there was no one running back and forth between the back room. However, the staff was very friendly and worked with us through our drinking endeavors. The sound system and DJs and environment was GREAT. It surprised me, I was expecting a less legit venue, but was presented with something that looked pretty professional and had an AWESOME sound system. Handled DJ Funk very well, which is easily half the battle. Overall, I’ll be going back for sure. They have some great bookings and its definitely worth the trip. Check it out if you like electronic music, you can find event listings over at , I think 10 Critics may have a website.
