This is my neighborhood rite aid. It’s not the best drugstore ever, but the staff are super friendly and really tolerant of my requests and my use of a lot of coupons. That says a lot since some drugstores get really grumpy when you use a lot of coupons in one transaction. They always seem to be well-stocked, and usually have the sales items in the store. I’ve only once or twice had to request a sales item that wasn’t on the shelf. They are a little bit more pricey than some of the other drug stores nearby. By far the coolest thing about this pharmacy is the display in the windows outside. Instead of having a display of the things they’re selling, their display is like a museum exhibit of pharmacy items from the past. It’s very cool.

I like the front end section of this store and the pharmacy. When I was in college at WSU, I didn’t go here much but it must be under new management now because the store looks beautiful and I can always find what I’m looking for. The pharmacists are the same as when I was in college and they always help me out. For instance, I was going on a trip and didn’t have enough medication. They helped me call the doctor’s office to get a refill and took care of me. They are always so helpful when I have questions about over-the-counter medication. The front end has a great selection of beer and wine — and most importantly it’s always in stock! If you need something special ordered, they will work with you too. I definitely recommend shopping here.

Good basic neighborhood pharmacy with beer and wine. Pharmacy closes early. good newsrack; has a few small electronics, home housewares and a great selection of Hba items.

So it may be a little weird that I’m reviewing a drugstore that is an intensified King Chain of all drugstores. However, this one is pretty special because if you look into the window displays — the place has all these vintage doctor’s and hospital furniture and tinctures. It is old school coolness up in there. It is a great photo-op. If you need to go to a Rite Aid, might as well hit this one up so you can take a look-see.

It’s a super chain drug store — but it’s the pharmacists and techs here that I enjoy. They are quick, super convenient, and just pleasant. Check out is really slow here for the rest of the store, and I never know when they close or open because the hours aren’t posted. I believe they close at 10:30 or 10 most nights. It’s just closer to me than CVS.
