The love boat deal for 2 people is the BESTDEALEVER. Go to the back of the menu, the banana ice cream dessert is huge! Although not the freshest sushi, I will continue to come back for the love boat :)

This was THE place for some great sushi! Came here most Sundays for my sushi fix. The service was outstanding, and the sushi never disappointed! I am so sad this placed closed down :(

WHY? WHY? WHY? Why did Misora close? My wife and I have been going there for years. We always savored each and every meal we ordered. Our food was always served promptly. And we had a courteous and mutually beneficial relationship with our favorite waitress Sony. She’d have the chef prepare or arrange things for us which were not found on the menu. For her extra effort, we’d always tip her above and beyond what was required. My wife and I were out of the country for one month. Today Sunday April 13, we yearned for Misora’s food and determined to be there for lunch. On our way talked about how long it had been since we ate at Misora’s and since we’d seen Sony. Upon pulling into the parking lot, we were shocked by the«For Lease» signs posted in front of the restaurant. What happened? Why did they close? Where did they go? Where is our dearly beloved Sony? If anyone reads this and knows what happened, please write to us. Thank you kindly. :(

I’m completely bummed. I went to get my sushi fix today and they were closed. Completely gone. No signs on the walls. Gone. I need a new sushi place STAT.

Strictly for the two rolls my wife had there yesterday while waiting for my daughter’s orthodontist appointment. Simple rolls: spicy tuna and a plain ol’ salmon roll. Spicy tuna wasn’t very spicy, but when you are used to eating nothing but pure fuego, what is? Fish didn’t taste super fresh, but it wasn’t overly fishy either. Right in the middle, as was the salmon roll. The salmon roll was the better of the two rolls. Nice and tight, seaweed on the outside kind of roll. Salmon was very fresh and tasty. Only negative was that the salmon inside that beautiful roll was probably only the size of the diameter of a No. 2 pencil. Where’s the fish? I would like to come back here to try other things so that perhaps I can rate this location a little higher. Décor wasn’t too bad although a little dark. One kind of cool thing, at least for the little kid in me was that they have this gong right in front that you hit to let them know you have arrived. It’s a gong! And you get to hit it. LOL. One plus and minus of this joint is that I checked in on Unilocal, and you get a 20% off your bill offer, but unfortunately it only applies to specialty rolls, bento boxes and everything else NOT regular, run of the mill rolls like the kind people barely getting into sushi and rolls would eat.

I went there for lunch. We’ve ordered the teriyaki set lunch and chirashi bowl. The Teriyaki is white meat and taste ok. The fish in the chirashi bowl is not that fresh and not too much compare to other sushi place and it’s $ 16.99, so it wasn’t a good value. The sushi rice is a bit too sour so I didn’t finish all the rice. I guess I won’t come back as there are better choice with same price.

Ate here for the first with the bf for a late lunch and was inclined to try as I saw there was a 20% off meal for checking in. Décor was a nice Japanese style and cute that we had to hit the gong to let servers know we have arrived. Decided to share the Love Boat for 2 which was decently priced for the amount of food we got. — included miso soup, rice, side salad — 4CA roll — 4 spicy tuna roll — 8 shrimp tempura roll — 3 nigiri(salmon, tuna, albacore) —fish were served warm YUCK! — chicken teriyaki served on a hot plate — dessert: banana tempura and vanilla ice cream Disappointed when they would not honor their check in offer. Now I always read the fine print for all these check ins where this check in said«20% off meals M-TH from 3−5pm» Apparently our meal does not count and was told it only applied to rolls and bento boxes. Now I have a pet peeve for businesses that won’t honor something hen they’re at fault and the waitress was literally arguing with me that a meal doesn’t include the love boat. The check in offer was what intrigued us to try the restaurant out. Might give this place anther try but not in te near future.

Misora Sushi is ok. I have art right next to this place, so I come here once in a while. First, I would like to say that Misora Sushi’s food is overpriced. I can get better quality sushi around here for much less. I do like their décor inside; it has a traditional Japanese design, and it is decorated in a fancy way. Anyway, I only come here when I feel like splurging, which is close to never. If this place would host more deals, I would come more often.

A nice, family-owned sushi restaurant, Misora has all the details covered. Often, there is a pianist playing at the piano, even though most of the time, the place is deserted. The sushi chefs are chatty and conversational, and the staff is great as well. Although the sushi itself is so-so and it’s on the pricier side of the spectrum, I think the ambiance and the work they put into the littlest details make coming here worthwhile. The quality of the fish has definitely improved since their opening a few years ago, and happy hour is worth the savings, so try to come from 3 – 5(???).

I remember coming here a couple years back with my family, and not thinking this restaurant was anything special, and a bit over-priced… but one day, we felt like a change from one of the few regular restaurants we go to for lunch on Sundays and gave this place another shot. Since the last time, this place has improved on their food quality, and customer service. The owner was very nice, and the new sushi chef, Tommy, is very fun to talk to! He is often experimenting and creating little dishes, which he will have us sample to see how we like it. So far, we’ve enjoyed all. I really liked the one he titled«Chef Tommy Special,» which was seared red snapper that was spiced up with jalapeño and sriracha! We normally order one of the boats to share, to get a good variety in, but we also have tried several of their lunch specials. They have so many different combinations of orders, that there will be SOMETHING that suits EVERYONE. You can mix sushi with sashimi, specialty rolls, and hand-rolls. You can also order their kitchen menus like the bentos, which also have options to choose 2 or 3 items!(I’m a salmon lover so I like getting the Salmon Shioyaki and Salmon sashimi). What I also love is their tempura banana icecream, which they’ve already offered to our family on the house several times. We normally grab boba or what-not after lunch, but when we get this dessert, our sweet cravings are satisfied. The prices are good, the portion size is perfect, the restaurant is clean. I don’t have much to complain about!

Came here just earlier(on a weekday at night, after the normal dinner hours.) Split the Love Boat #1. –The sushi itself wasn’t that great, even though it was bigger in size than most places. Quality over quantity for me though. –The salmon was good, but the yellowtail and tuna were frozen for a couple days at the very least. –The rice was dry and seemed like it was re-used; I used my chopsticks and was able to pick up the entire bowl since it was all bunched up into one big chunk. –The steak was dry — who eats steak well done? Funny to me how it’s a sushi joint where most items are served raw but the steak is fully cooked to the max. –Teriyaki chicken wasn’t that great, seemed like some Costco chicken or something that was just cut up and drizzled with sauce. –The banana tempura with ice cream was good, and I don’t even like bananas. –Miso soup and salad were alright. Overall, I’m not coming back here again. For $ 30 I could’ve gotten 15 plates at Kula and been legitimately full versus half full, leaving with a bigger craving for sushi than when I walked in. And honestly, Kula is way better than here. Except Kula closed down unexpectedly. Looks like I’ll just have to keep looking.

Everything I had was good. –3 of us split a boat. –Salad and Miso were standard, in a good way. I liked the tempura, good texture and battering. Came out piping hot. –All the sashimi and other sushi were good. Although not really enough for three. –Teryaki chicken was good, steak was a bit tough. –I liked that dessert was included: tempura banana and ice cream. Ice cream was good, the tempura banana could have done with the bananas being frozen before they were fried to prevent softening and overly sweet caramization, but otherwise stil good. I feel like while the extras surrounding the boat itself are to make up for there not being plenty of raw fish for everyone it works out as a much more balanced meal. So come here if you want a balanced meal with your boat, not if you are expecting your boat itself to be your primary filling.

My first impression was, «I’m here almost every other day for lunch.» It’s right across the street from the workplace, so we end up coming to Misora quite often. At first we couldn’t even tell if this place was open or not, because of the tinted windows. It’s dimly lit inside with a mix of pop rock music, traditional Japanese décor, Japanese art, and little sculptures. It reminds me of an old-school Japanese Izakaya. I especially love the walls covered by thick Japanese rice-paper and pressed flower petals. Their udon options are really good, my favorite being the tempura udon(served on the side). The seafood miso soup is light, healthy, and the perfect attribute to your sushi rolls. Lunch combinations include salad, rice, miso soup, and a choice of two items for about 10 bucks a person. I usually get a choice of sashimi and their beef teriyaki to go with the rice. The sashimi is super fresh, fatty, and fluent. The Beef teriyaki is not like others where they use the typical beef slices, but rather, made of a thin slice of flank steak. It’s really soft and not dry, which is a typical reason why I usually don’t order teriyaki anything at other sushi places. With that said, this is the only place I would order teriyaki because usually I go straight for the sashimi. Misora has so many options for rolls. The Rainbow Roll is my favorite because they give you a nice slice of each different type of sashimi. The service is always great, which adds to why we enjoy this place for lunch and we keep going back. The lasting impression? «I need to remember to check in, because by now, I’d be the Unilocal Check-In Queen for this place!» Tip(+) They also cater business lunches in-house! Perfect for company parties or holiday meals without the fuss.

Apparently I’m a regular so time to write a review! I only come here for the sushi vs any of the bento plates or other plate specials. Walking in, there is no bell for service, but rather a gong to sound! Love it! When seated, it’s almost like a Korean BBQ place, if you need service, just ring the doorbell! So awesome! No more having to waive someone down or try to get the attention of a nearby server who is too busy with other patrons. Service is always friendly, from your server to the sushi chef’s! Sushi is fresh and tasty, I have no complaints! I’ve had their fresh rolls, a few baked rolls, and even some variety of their crunch rolls. My favorite is the Lobster roll! humina humina humina! ok, time to wipe the drool as I write this. Most Japanese/sushi establishments are open for lunch and dinner only and have a small window where they are closed, which sucks for me because my lunch hour is always that time. But not this place, they are open all day! And a huge plus, 20% off entire meal happy hour from 3 – 5. It’s like getting a free roll! Prices are pretty reasonable so no complaints there. Definitely a lunch favorite for me! is it lunch at 4pm, ok, let’s call it Linner!!!

Surprisingly great(for Diamond Bar)! I’ve gone here twice now, once for lunch with a large group — they gave us the private room and we ordered 3 large boats which had fresh sashimi, yummy sides, and some of the crispiest tempura that made me want to come back — and once for dinner, to get some more of that tempura(and salmon)! Both times, I appreciated the great service, the funny/friendly sushi chefs, nice décor(it’s surprisingly spacious too!) and most importantly, good food. Sushi did not taste frozen. Sushi tasted good. The price is fair and I would come back.

I love this spot! I lived like 5 minutes away from here & the first time I came is because my friends & I saw a sign for $ 1 sake!!! We pulled over instantly and changed our plans! Haha It’s the hot sake so we usually end up doing sake bombs! Anyways they have tv’s here too which is a plus if there are any games on! A small private kind of room for little parties that’s where I had my surprise 22nd birthday party actually it was great! Anyways I love the waitresses here they became they became our friends since we came so often ! Sunny is her name I believe she is great! She asks us how we are and jokes around with us! Anyways sometimes I order a custom veggie roll which is 5 stars for me And you usually get a side of miso but instead she knows I like the side of the house salad it’s my fav salad!!! Sooo good def(5) for the salad one time she gave me extra dressing when I asked to take it home & didn’t charge me! How sweet are you! Other times I’ve had the baked crab roll I think? That’s really good too(4.5) it comes with sautéed mushrooms and a really good sauce! Also we’ve had dynamite(4) which was good Tempura(4) just like any other Asian place Banana tempura dessert(4.5) yummy! They always gave us a free one on our birthdays! Since I don’t live near I haven’t been back in awhile but when I go to visit my old roommates that’s def our hangout!

Another one of your American fusion sushi place. Décor is nice, everything looks clean and staff are very nice. You would come here for the special sushi rolls and not for the fresh sashimi. Sadly so say, I didn’t get a chance to try their sushi rolls. For appetizers — Dynamite plate(I don’t remember the full name) was just average taste, not bad, but it’s one of those things you can’t eat too much of. Dynamite sauce on top of rice, baked. Baked Mussels, it had a little bit of the dynamite sauce baked with the mussels. The sauce on it, is so great. I’d recommend getting this. Sashimi salad, not bad. Decent portion for a decent price. Nothing too special, but I’ll probably be back if I feel like special rolls.

Misora is a great neighborhood gem. Misora is a routine meet up place for me and three other friends whenever we are back in Diamond Bar and I always look forward to their sashimi. I’m not a huge roll fan because I prefer to eat the fish in its most original and delicious form. :) The sashimi here is great. I’ve had various pieces of nigiri and it’s all been delicious. I love the sashimi salad at Misora. It’s a great blend of sauce and flavors, they give you quite a lot of sashimi in it too. Don’t forget to top off your meal with some fried tempura ice cream and satisfy your sweet tooth.

Overall, very nice restaurant. One of the best sushi places in the area. The assorted roll is the best. A lot of sushi pieces for a reasonable price and if you don’t want the spicy tuna, you can ask for eel and cucumber roll instead without any charge. I’m a regular here and come to eat almost once a week. Oh and sometimes there is a pianist playing. Sometimes a male(he can sing alright. But his piano skills are pretty good) or a female(just plays the piano) Will update on review as much as possible

Sat at the bar, and asked the chef to serve us their freshest fish. We were first immediately served our drinks, edamame and miso soup. We had salmon, yellowtail, and a few other nigiris, plus a baby lobster roll. All were really fresh and really good! The baby lobster roll is the best I’ve had so far, it’s very flavorful and not drenched in sauce like most places. The restaurant itself is nice and clean, looks like they have live music on some nights since there’s a piano in the middle of the restaurant. It’s funny, they were giving out to some customers these long little wooden boxes with their names on it. I asked what those were, and the chef said, for customers that go there often, they get their own personal chopsticks. What a great idea! Maybe one day, I’ll have my own there. ;) Glad we found this place on Unilocal today after angrily leaving another sushi joint right before. Read my previous review if you’re curious!
