Honestly I was looking forward to a great experience based on the reviews. But honestly, this place has very slow service that lacks customer service. The food is bland and gross.

One of my regular stops on ski trips to the area. Food is solid, beers are quite good. Service(at least in the bar) is very attentive. I generally stay next door at the Dillon Inn and have to talk myself into not just making this place my default setting. Brown is solid as are the IPAs. Highly recommended!

This place has such an awesome vibe. The servers are super friendly, and the beer is delicious. I highly recommend the sausage and pretzel skewers for a quick spicy snack, and the Dam Good Ale fits the name! It’s delicious and mellow. Whenever stopped in Dillon, I remember my first visit here– years ago– and try to stop in. There are people here of all ages, and it’s both family friendly but interesting. Dillon Dam Brewery keeps exceeding expectations each time.

Not bad, not great. I went with my two sons who I had not seen for 6 months and, although it was a Friday night, we were seated rather quickly. Peter, our server, promptly arrived for our drink orders. We had three of their house drafts, me a Here’s Your Dam IPA and my boys a McLuhr’s Irish Stout and Sweet George’s Brown respectively($ 5 each). The beers were good, but all a bit too«smoky» for my taste, smokiness must be a Dam Brewery thing — Dam it! For dinner we went with sandwiches, me a «Rodeo»($ 11.95) with a beef patty, cheddar, bacon, caramelized onions and Bar-B-Q sauce on the side with French fries. The burger was very basic, small and uninteresting, likely a frozen patty of 5 – 6 ounces max. My youngest(soon to be 29) had the Munich Schnitzel Sammy($ 10.95), a breaded pork cutlet and smoked gouda on a pretzel bun, accompanied by apple slaw, beer mustard, and fries. I tasted it and it was also nothing special. A «schnitzel cordon bleu» sandwich would have been much better, but my son seemed to like it. My oldest(30) also ordered a Rodeo but with a bison patty($ 4 Extra — $ 15.95), with cheddar, bacon, caramelized onions and Bar-B-Q sauce, opting to swap Mexican Beer Cheese Soup for the fries. The server asked if he wanted a bowl of soup instead of a cup and my son concurred, only to find out that the price had ballooned from $ 15.95 to $ 21.20 when the check arrived. It would have been nice to have been informed of the $ 5.25 up-charge when placing the order, but so you have it. The sandwiches were decent, not great, the burger patties being a tad on the small side(± 5 – 6 ounces). My burger arrived with what I perceived to be no caramelized onions, so I sent it back. The server brought the dish back a few minutes later telling me that they were under the cheese while my son’s had been on top of his Rodeo’s cheddar cheese. Odd I thought, until the check arrived and I found out that I had not been charged for what I ordered(a Rodeo), but for a build your own burger($ 9.25) with cheddar($ 1.35), bacon($ 1.35), caramelized onions($ 1.00) for a total of $ 12.95, a dollar more than what I had ordered and what Peter had agreed to when I ordered it. Rather than make a fuss about the unannounced upcharges, I simply deducted the amount we were overcharged from the 20% tip Peter would have received for the decent, not great, service he provided, leaving him with a respectable 16.5%. Server Lesson Learned: Give the customer what they order and, if you do not, inform them of any upcharges PRIOR to submitting their order, do not surprise us with unexpected charges when the bill arrives. Live Music, Great Food & Great service. This is the only restaurant my family and I dine at for dinner when we visit Silverthorne. We’ve tried other restaurants but none compare to here. They have a great atmosphere and delicious food not to mention the beer! They’re staff is eager to provide friendly service. We ordered their Bison Burger, Nachos, and Damn burger with bacon. Their green chile was so good I took some to go. Keep up the good work.

Went to Dillon on Sunday escaping the triple digit heat in Denver. Found this place which was very busy, but after a very short wait we were seated on their great patio. Our server Joshua, was incredibly friendly, attentive, informative and just an all around cool dude. His suggestion of the warm spinach salad w/deep fried goat cheese croûton was spot on and incredibly delicious. When he realized the kitchen was taking a little too long for our order, Joshua spoke to the manager. He ended up giving us 30% off our food bill. The meal and Joshua’s impeccable service made this the highlight of our day.

Stopped here on my way from Las Vegas to Denver, helping a friend move. I’m always a little wary of trying new places on a whim without looking up ratings and reviews first but… omg. I’m so glad I did! Service was amazingly friendly. Food came out in good time. They even accomodated my friends two babies(2yrs and 6mo) by making some plain pasta and some diced fruit. So definitely kid friendly too. I love that they had different options such as veggie or bison burgers and gluten free options. They had a great craft beer selection, but since I am a non-alcoholic, I chose ginger beer. And even it was amazing. My burger(The Flying Dutchman) was so delicious, I’m going to make it a point to stop here if I ever make the drive again… or maybe I’ll make a point to make the drive just so I can eat here… ;D

After reading all of the reviews, I was quite disappointed. I visited with my family when we were up in Dillion for the week. They had been there previously(with out me) and raved about it so we went back. First of all, we had to wait 30 minutes on a Wednesday night which was surprising. After we were seated, our waiter brought us water, though we had to ask for ice. A few of us ordered beers, nothing too special. After looking over the menu, nothing seemed appealing so I went for the french onion soup and a small caesar salad. The soup tasted strongly of beer(it was called the ale french onion soup, but still) and the salad was so watery that I could barely taste anything but soggy lettuce. Not enthused. My dad raved about the pork schnitzel sandwich but almost anything impresses him. The other two family members we’re terribly impressed with their dishes. Overall, just kind of bleh. Brewpubs are a dime a dozen in Colorado so I had higher expectations.

The service here was very good. We shared the pulled pork sandwich and it had nice smoke flavor, better than some BBQ joints in Colorado. We both had a IPA, and then shared the strong golden ale, which had a nice balance of slightly sweet and malt. Happy hour between 3 – 6 and late night a couple other nights.

I read a ton of reviews and think people are heavily intoxicated when giving such high ratings. They seem to love the beers, fine but I expect any decent pub has good beers… Kinda like saying«wow, that Ferrari sports car is fast». Duh! I might go back here if I just wanted to get beers but the food we very disappointing. Service was very good, no issues there. Pork Green Chilli was seriously lacking pork. It was not at all what it should be… It was a sauce you’d put over eggs or on a burger. Not an entre. And the pork in it was bits of basic ground pork. Would have been good if it had chunks of pork shoulder. As it sits, it was no better than canned grocery store green chili sauce. The salad that came with it was all lettuce… No tomato, a tad bit of tiny little carrot shreds, one cucumber slice, and several croutons. Dressings were good but the salad, while very fresh, lacked substance. The Bison burger was over cooked and waaaayyyy overpriced at $ 16. Most gastropubs charge $ 10 – 12 for a much better Bison burger I’m not a fan of chains but for the cost of the burger I’d go to Ruby Tuesday… Much better value.

Yay! So happy I finally got to experience Dillon Dam Brewery! I was up in the mountains a couple of weekends ago and went with a couple of friends for lunch. My two vegetarian friends enjoyed nachos(served with multigrain chips) and some caprese quinoa cakes, which looked yummy. It was still brunch, so I ordered the brussel sprout/bacon hash which was quite tasty along with a couple of tasters of some heavy beers. I really liked the beers as well as trying some of my friends’ beers as well. The place really fills up on the weekend. I’d definitely go check it out for vegetarians and meateaters alike. They had lots of different beers that are sure to appeal to everyone.

Stopped in while vacationing during ski season for dinner. After seeing the good reviews and people recommending this place I would have to agree that this place is a must when staying around frisco, silverthorn, Dillon. We came not knowing it was open mic night and there was a bit of a wait but it moved so fast that we didn’t actually wait the entire time. Our waiter was very prompt, knowledgeable and kind. I wish I remembered his name so I could give him kudos on here. He suggested the cowboy dip which was soooo yummy. For dinner I had the Mac n cheese with pork on top. They definitely DONOT skimp on the portion of pork added. I decided to get a side of BBQ to add on top which was good. My bf got a burger which was super juicy, tasty, and cooked to perfection. You can grab a drink from te bar and hang out while you wait. I’m a picky beer drinker and loved the lighter beer that started with a W.

We came here on 2 different occasions during the long weekend. Both times there was an hour+ wait and the buzzers worked at our hotel so we checked in and went back to our room to wait. The food, atmosphere and service were about 3 star quality. On the first night, our server added extra items to our tab. It appeared more dishonest than a mistake when I asked him about it. I would suggest you check your receipt before you pay. The place was extremely loud on both nights so don’t expect to have a whole lot of conversation. The superfood salad didn’t actually contain kale but it did have practically a cup of dried cranberries in it. I had to pick them out and put them aside because it was too many. I also had the pork schnitzel which was just breaded pork chops with gravy. The wild grain side tasted moldy and the Brussel sprouts were a let down. We also had 2 different burgers, one was good, one was dry and old. I saw several people with the prime rib and Mac n cheese. They looked happy and cleaned their plates. Neither one of those is my speed, maybe that’s why it was just 3 stars for me.

Decided to try Dillon Dam Brewery as I read reviews about its gluten free options. Their menu is clearly labelled with GF options with many Nacho and dip appetizer possibilities. Also, the waiters appear well educated on what is gluten free and what is not. In terms of main menu items there is a trout, prime rib, steak, burgers and salads to choose from. I think it has great options with very nice large portion size, perfect if you are hungry after a few hours of skiing. I’ve been here for lunch and dinner and have had no incidents/contamination issues.

Great beer and pretty good food as well! Pretty packed on a Saturday night around 6pm. We had to wait about 30 min for a table for 8. Could’ve been worse. Chicken fried chicken: 5 stars. Best dish of the night. Perfectly crispy seasoned chicken with a delicious gravy and mashed potatoes and green beans. Bacon mac and cheese: 2 stars. Kind of bland. Pulled pork nachos: 3 stars. The nacho chips were a little bit stale, which was weird. Beer cheese soup: 3 stars. Tasty but a little on the salty side. Monster brownie: 4 stars. Awesome group dessert to share. It really is huge. The ice cream that comes with it is delicious.

Went here for lunch after enjoying the ice sculptures in Breck. I told my boyfriend I wanted to try it again because my Mom and I enjoyed coming here for meals when we stayed in Silverthorne a few years ago… but this time around, I felt the menu was lacking, not a ton of variety for lunch. We got the bison sausage, chili, and a bacon beef cheeseburger with guacamole. The chili was pretty darn good, the entrées were meh. Fries were lukewarm and we only got a handful each, the onions on top of the sausage grossed me out… a big slimy grey pile… more of a texture thing than not liking the taste though, and my bun was cold and hard. Burger was just okay. Our server was fairly attentive but not very frendly. She was way more focused on the group of young snowboarders who were ordering shots every two seconds«party timeeeeee!!!» We will have to come back and give the beer a try, and have some dinner instead of lunch. This visit was disappointing unfortunately.

We came to Dillon Dam after a day of skiing at Keystone. Ordered a few beers and expect to pay about over $ 15 bucks for it. The guy comes back and says that’ll be $ 9 bucks! HOLLER! I’ve found my new drinking place for appetizers and beer after skiing! We will totally go back next time we are in Colorado. Everything was so good. SOGOOD!

I came here after a long day of snowboardijng at Breckenridge around 4pm and we were immediately seated. I ordered the beef stew with bread bowl and I loved it! The beef stew was so flavorful with the stout and chipotle flavoring. It was extremely filling and the bread was just the right crispy. Beef is cooked just right and not dry. I paired the entrée with the Schwartzbier, german Lager, and they complimented each other well, neither overpowering the other. I was absolutely stuffed after devouring everything and left very satisfied.
