We have been Aladino’s customer for years. As disappointing as it was that the original owners sold the Disco Bay location we remained open minded and supportive of the new owners. We ordered from Aladino’s a number of times and all we got was inconsistency so we gave up and have not been back in ages. Recently I received a letter from«Aladino’s Management» inviting me back and letting me know that things have changed, they’ve improved customer service and food quality. So, we decided to give it a try. We decided to order our pizza online through their website so that we would have documentation of the time ordered and the pizza ordered. When we received the confirmation of our order the confirmation indicated that«we deliver our pizzas in 45 minutes or less». Well, an hour after we placed our order I called to confirm that they had indeed received our order and to inquire as to the status of our order. The girl that answered the phone confirmed that the order had been received and that«the driver had left 45 minutes ago so he should be there shortly». So now my first thought is «well, if he left 45 minutes ago I’m getting cold pizza». If only that was the case. The kid(aka: the driver) shows up about 15 minutes later. I can tell by the warmth(or lack there of) of the pizza box that the pizza was indeed cold. I take the pizza inside, open the box and the pizza looks like it had been dropped and was a mess. Once I got over the«smooshed pizza» in the box I actually looked AT the pizza. We ALWAYS order an Aladino’s Special because it is basically a combo but it does NOT come with olives — which I am highly allergic to. We always have the fresh tomatoes added as well as jalapeños and garlic. The smooshed pizza in the box consisted of cheese, sauce, fresh tomatoes(that had now turned mushy from sitting in what was once a hot, steamy pizza box once upon a time ago) and jalapeños. Uh, hello! You forgot the sausage, the red onions, the peppers, the pepperoni and the mushrooms. Basically the whole da*n pizza. I call and talk to the«manager»(Ashish), I explain my frustration and the situation. Ashish carefully takes an order for a pizza he will comp me. He even called me back to verify a portion of my order. He confirms the new pizza will be at my door in 30 – 40 minutes.(Keep in mind I placed my order at 6:30pm and at this point it is 7:50 and I am starving!!) the new pizza finally arrived around 8:30. I was so excited… Until I opened the box. Staring me in the face is an Aladino’s special with garlic and jalapeños(missing the fresh tomatoes but I could have lived with that)… And olives. The one thing I am highly allergic to. Needless to say, I did not have dinner tonight and we will no longer give our business to Aladino’s.

This pizza is overrated never consistent and always mediocre if you want a good pizza go to Mountain Mikes In Brentwood. … I wish they would sell to a mountain Mikes franchise. I’ve had spoiled meat there a few times

I’m done with this place. They overcharged us for a delivery order even after we questioned the total on the phone. The delivery guy could not have cared less about customer service. Food-wise they are inconsistent. The pizza can be good or poor depending the night, but after this latest experience we won’t be back.

What happened to Aladinos of 2012. The original owner? The pizza has improved a bit since 2014 however too many screw ups with the wrong pizza being delivered to a cold pizza being delivered 50 minutes late. A promised 30 minutes that took an hour and 15 minutes and it’s cold. And $ 26.00 for it.(2 topping, medium thin crust.) if your just a party of 2, don’t waste your time and money. Disappointed after giving them 5 second chances. 9-21-2015. My review remains as is however in all fairness the Management Team did contact me to apologize and rectify the situation. They are«rebuilding their management team and revamping their operations team to avoid such events(like this on) in the future.

We just moved back to DB and ordered Aladino’s for deliver. The pizza is delicious I love the thin crust and the sauce. I also love that they have real Canadian bacon. The only bummer is they were late for delivery and we asked for 4 sides of ranch and they only delivered 3 and they were only ¼ full. Bummer but at least the pizza was good.

Talk about a downward spiral. They have always been pricy for a pizza but it was good pizza… It used to be worth it. Now it’s ok pizza at a high price. The crust was undercooked, they use much less sauce and cheese than the used to. Just a plain pizza with a captured audience.

I use to like this place, the last couple of times it has been barely ok. I gave them a another shot today. I ordered 3 calzones to go. The girl told me 15 to 20 mins. I waited 40 mins. And when I tried to talk with mng./owner. They acted like I was being unreasonable. And told me that a calzone has to bake twice and always takes at least forty mins. So I finally got my food took it home and it was burnt so bad, my dog wouldn’t touch it. They new it was burnt when they gave it to me!!! Never giving them another dime of my money!!!

Fresh pizza and friendly service. Sure, it’s an older joint with video games and a jukebox but, It’s got a nice little salad bar and the crust is thin with a great tasting sauce. They have updated the tube televisions with flat screens — mostly.

Just moved back into Discovery Bay and I have fond memories of when Aladino’s wasn’t a shit show. Decided to give the stomping ground pizza a shot, despite warning from locals and Unilocal.Mistake #1. Mistake #2: Expecting the staff to know how to work their own computer systems. I had tried to add a salad to the pizza order but I may as well have asked the girl behind the counter to preform open heart surgery. And when I asked for a receipt, I must have asked her in Latin, because her response was the same. A blank stare followed by a long«Uhhhhhhh…» Mistake #3: The pizza itself. If you could call it that. It was more like a jumbo piece of bread with a few pieces of meat casually tossed on. Oh, and there was little to no sauce. Save the heart(and stomach) ache and order from somewhere more competent.

This place has went downhill with the new ownership. People at the counter are nice but it doesn’t help the salad bar smelling like feet sometimes. It’s been over a year since I went. There’s other places to go.

My husband had the GREAT idea to try this disgusting establishment again tonight. Literally just had this crappy pizza delivered about an hour ago and they delivered pizza made with RANCIDMEAT! It looked a little funny so I took a small bite and immediately threw up. NOMEATSHOULDEVERBEGRAY!!! I called to talk to the manager and the PROFESSIONAL that he is would not even get on the phone with me. he told the girl who was talking to me that it wasn’t mold but just the«spices on the pizza.» Excuse me??? Spices? Since when is meat GRAY??? The manager«Shuba» himself delivered the pizza initially and I should have given it back to him based on first glance. He looked absolutely filthy. Someone who handles food should never have such a disgusting appearance. I have pictures and still have the pizza in my possession and will be involving the health department. This is unacceptable and the flippant attitude and lack of wanting to help the situation out just sent me over the edge! I’m about as understanding as they come but when you take an indifferent attitude with me, watch out!

Get it together! It is pizza, not rocket science! Try using some quality ingredients for the prices you are charging! …and why do the restrooms always smell like raw sewage? NASTYSTILL! I will try again in another year and hope the ownership changes again and this time for the better. YUCK!

Well, I was impressed with the online ordering and payment system but it took a full half hour before ready for pickup even when the place was really quiet. Ordered two different pizzas and got home only to find one box was all chicken wings. My order was swapped with that for someone else. I went back and swapped boxes but one has to wonder if what I returned was dumped or delivered.

So based on other peoples reviews I must say that I almost passed on this pizza joint. But because I live in Disco and I’m not a fan of Round Table I caved. I will say that the first time around was a 3 star experience, because it was dry. But after talking to the owner personally(who has a great sense if humor…) I realized they really have a genuine hometown feel. I wouldn’t say as cozy or tasty as Skipolinis in Antioch but definitely family oriented. Tonight I ordered online through a 3rd party app and got 5% off. While I thought my food would be butchered it actually came out perfect! There was a comments section and I asked them to add more cheese than last time– and they actually did! All in all a pretty decent place to grab a pizza with the kids in Disco. Make sure to check out their everyday deals on the web they are a really good value.

This is a difficult review to write. I’m simultaneously sad and angry. Sad, because a respected and often enjoyed business has changed hands. Angered, because the change has been almost as bad as could be imagined. Pizza is a rather simple food. Fundamentally sauce, cheese, and sometimes, meat and vegetables layered on dough and baked in an oven until done. But, as simple as it may be, done properly it is an indulgence, a delight that evokes memories of family gatherings, team games won or lost, parties, gatherings large and small. A pizza is the perfect end for a long day moving. Discovery Bay is a small community. There are very few restaurant choices. I was delighted to find the«old» Aladino’s, a small business that produced an excellent pie. House made crust and sauce, quality cheeses and meats, and fresh vegetables all combined to create a chewy, bubbling, flavorful delight that satisfied the senses. The«new» Aladino’s pizza has none of these qualities. Friday night we arrived at 7, the restaurant was unusually empty. We had originally ordered a large combination pizza to take out, but changed our minds and opted to stay and eat it there. The pizza arrived, and the disappointment began. The crust was a tasteless ½″ thick piece of frozen bread dough barely warmed through and without the expected toasted color. The sauce came from a can. The meat was flavorless and the vegetables chopped beyond recognition. There was so little cheese, it was impossible to determine what it was. The overall result was a bland, flavorless, unenjoyable, disappointment. The $ 32 I was charged for the pizza and one glass of beer was a complete waste of money. This is why I’m sad. I understand why the pizza has changed. It is from a complete disregard for customer satisfaction, and a desire to cut cost without a regard for quality. And that is why I’m angry. A note to the next owner of Aladino’s: A clown and an overpriced, tasteless pile of low quality ingredients are not a formula for success.

As I’m midnight snacking on one of the worst pizzas I’ve ever had in my life… I figured I should review the place while I’m at it. I put in my order on the Grubb app on my phone, this place is .7mi away from me… It took 1hr &20min for my pizza to arrive, and it was lukewarm. I proceeded to open the pizza because I was starving to death & had no choice but to eat it… The only veggies that were identifiable on my Veggie pizza, we’re the tomato slices & artichoke hearts. These called onions, zucchini(which I couldn’t find at all), bellpeppers & mushrooms were mutilated into pieces so small that you couldn’t even taste them, it was like one piece of cardboard with flavorless almost cold mush sprinkled on top. How a place screws up a veggie pizza this badly is beyond me… I should have listened to my fellow Unilocalers & ordered from a different place.
