Round Table Pizza

This is the best pizza place. The pizza is great but what really makes it good are the people that work there. They are extremely nice. Every pizza they make they treat it like they are making it for someone special. They really care if you like your pizza. They work very hard and have a great pizza place

No one is lying when they tell you the delivery wait times are insane. Even on a slow mid-​week night, the delivery time is well over an hour! Do they not hire enough people to deliver?
The pizza looks decent and it’s better than the other places in town, although the pizza is really expensive, there are coupons they mail out, and some in the local papers, and you can also probably find promotions online as well.
If you’re dying of hunger and you can feel your stomach digesting your body from the inside, out. You might be better off driving down there & picking it up if possible!

Pizza and service are great. We come here at least once every three weeks. Way better than the other pizza place in town.

My last review was almost two years ago. I am still coming here about once a month, ordering my pizza to go in about an hour and doing my shopping at Safeway. My pizza is always ready when I get back. All the good things I said about them before still apply. Haven’t cared for any of the new pizzas they’ve come up with. Still stick to the traditional various meat combos and veggies. They’re always excellent. I usually have a cupon cut from an ad that gets me a large speciality pizza for just over 20 bucks. Can’t beat it.

My mom and I came here while traveling. The service was wonderful. The ladies there were so sweet. Food was great. I wish the Round Table by my house was this nice.

We live in a nice community and over here the bathrooms are filthy they smell there’s a leak in the ceiling they have no specials for dine in I can’t believe we have a place like this in Discovery Bay I’m not sure if I’ll ever come back here

Food is great. I called in for a pick up and they still made me wait after being told it would be ready in 20 minutes. Better customer service would be appreciated.

We love Round Table… Tayna, the manager, has gone above and beyond for us numerous times now, and that doesn’t go un-​noticed. Pizza is only second to their staff.

I’ve always liked Round Table pizza. .I was skeptical on picking one up here from all the bad reviews, but it was closer and. had to give it a shot.
I ordered over the phone, they picked up right away, had to have the gal repeat a few times but when I met her, I got it. to much jewelry in her mouth. but we made it thru. Pizza was ready in time given, 20 mins. Price was crazy high. $ 19 for a med pepperoni, reason for loss of one star. Pizza was really good, like the Round Tables I grew up on. If they can keep it consistent.. I’d return.

So we decided to give this place another shot, since last time the pizza was good, the service was just horrible. Maybe it was a busy night, but not only did it take 1.5hrs to get delivered, the pizza sucked.
We ordered 2 large, and with both of them, every single slice was mostly just bread. The pesto pizza barely had any pesto, and the cheese was not cooked all the way. The crust was hard, along with the pineapple on top.
Needless to say, if we weren’t starving, we wouldn’t of eatin it! Not worth the outrageous $ 50 it cost. Next time, we will definitely stick with aladinos! The pizza there never disappoints.

The food is fine and staff is friend but they are very slow to get your pizza out. I’ve been here a couple of times. No complaints on the quality of food or staff, only speed. Plan on waiting at least 15 plus minutes pass what your pickup time is.

Worst buffet ever with regard to food availability. It’s supposed to be a pizza buffet. There is literally one pizza on the buffet table. It’s noon. Lunch hour. And there’s a bunch of hungry dudes In here. When that pizza is gone it takes them 5 minutes or longer to put another one out. Good thing we aren’t in a hurry. This is ridiculous.

The staff was really rude at this location. If DB had more food options this place would be out of business. Won’t be coming back :(

I’ve been reading some pretty bad reviews lately, I’ve still have not had a bad experience at this location with either eating there, order take out or delivery. Of course I don’t order more then one pizza or during game days.

New location. It used to be Pizza Hut. Good pizza. Love their garlic bread twists. Check your mailbox for coupons before you go.

Went there after the parade in DB. Saturday 12÷6÷14
One medium pizza, one pitcher of beer, artesian flatbread,(small) and salad bar for three.$ 21.00 for the salads alone. all this for the small fee of $ 70.00.
The the pizza was blah no taste, artesian bread was cold salads were fair.
The help was a little on the unfriendly side.
Not to likely that I will return.
Should of had Sushi.

Round table pizza is good, this is not the issue. My issue with this one in particular is the fact that every time we call we are put on hold. Sometimes to the point where we have to hang up and call again.
Delivery: SHOULD NOT TAKE AN HOUR AND TWENTY MINUTES!!! When you live 2 minutes away. Nor should it take this long when you order on a WEEKDAY. The pizza is luke warm, which tells me they make them and put them under a heat lamp until they get enough delivery calls to actually leave the restaurant. A couple times they have mess up or forget part of the order.
If they want to compete with Aladino’s they should at least have way better customer service. For this I will be ordering elsewhere from now on…

Poor customer service– was on hold 10 minutes. It was not even during peak hours. I have always loved Round Table but they seriously need help. I ended up hanging up and ordered from their competitor.

My wife and I used to eat at Round Table quite a bit when we lived in Livermore, and when we moved to Discovery Bay, we ate at the Round Table store which was located on Brentwood Blvd. When that store closed, we tried Aladino’s pizza on someone’s recommendation and immediately fell in-​love with it and haven’t looked back.
Yesterday, we were in the mood for pizza and we thought we’d give the new Round Table in the Discovery Bay Safeway shopping center a shot since it was close. It’s a hop, skip and a jump from McDonald’s on Hwy 4.
I decided I’d call-​in our order and pick the pizza up since my wife didn’t feel like going OUT for dinner. I called this store at 5:25 pm and was put on hold for eight minutes — It was 5:33 pm when an employee came back on the phone and asked if she could take my order.
My initial thought was that she must be the ONLY employee in the store and that’s why I was kept waiting on the phone for so long. Anyway, I ordered the King Arthur Supreme and was told that it would be ready in about 15-​minutes.
I arrived about 15-​mintues later and the pizza was, in-​fact ready, as promised. I also noticed that the store was very clean and that it had a nice atmosphere. Another thing I noticed, was that there were 4 – 5 employees who just seemed to be hanging-​out behind the counter and it caused me to wonder WHY I was kept on-​hold for 8-​long minutes, but didn’t say a thing.
I presented my credit card to pay for the order and the cashier stated, «I’m afraid that I’m going to need to see a photo ID.»
WHAT?! And the gentleman behind me also voiced a «WHAT!?» as well.
I don’t recall a time that I’ve EVER had to present a photo ID when purchasing food before! I’ve never had my integrity challenged at Aladino’s; it was never challenged at the (former) Round Table on Brentwood Blvd; it’s never been challenged in ANY restaurant in Brentwood, Antioch, Livermore, Pleasanton, Dublin, Hayward or San Leandro.
Funny… I can shop at target and spend $ 150, pay by credit card and not have my integrity challenged.
I can spend in the neighborhood of $ 100 at Black Angus and not have my integrity challenged.
A few weeks ago, I purchased some clothes at Macy’s to the tune of $ 220 and didn’t have my integrity challenged.
Just prior to this past Mother’s Day, I took my wife and some friends to an upscale Brazilian restaurant in San Jose on Santana Row called «Fogo de Chao.» My bill came to a little over $ 350 not including the tip, and was my integrity ever challenged?
NO!
But I go to a very small Round Table store, order one pizza for under $ 25, and all of the sudden my integrity comes into question when paying by credit card.
Getting back to the pizza… it was just OK. It did have way too much sauce on it and there seemed to be «something» missing, flavor-​wise, but my wife and I can’t put our fingers on what exactly was missing. For the large pizza and with the tax it came to $ 23 and a few cents.
I might add also that though the toppings were obviously fresh, there weren’t too many of them, unlike Aladino’s and other pizza stores.
The next time we’re in the mood for pizza, we’re going back to Aladino’s, as Round Table on Hwy 4 has certainly NOT earned my repeat business.

Update: pizza was WAY over cheesed on both our pizzas as well as the sauce and shady on the toppings. Benefit of the doubt for it being swamped for the first days of being open… we’ll see how our second experience is. Hoping this place gets into the normal swing of things.
