I was meeting a friend for breakfast in Dolton and chose Olivia’s because of past reviews. Normally, I can depend on Unilocal reviews to determine rather or not to patronize a business. This time the Unilocal reviews were wrong. Even though the staff is extremely friendly and courteous, you can’t eat friendly and courteous. I ordered pancakes, hashbrowns and grits. My food came to me luke warm and had no flavor not even salt and pepper. The waitress gladly rewarmed my food in the microwave but of course that altered the texture. The manager gladly extended me a 50% discount on my order. Next time while in Dolton, I’ll stick with what I know, IHOP.

Everything about this place was perfect. The restaurant was nice and clean. The servers were very polite and efficient. The food was awesome. I had the combo skillet and my husband had their chicken and waffles. Also their coffee was the perfect temperature. I will probably come back here when I visit Chicago again.

Really good food and excellent service prices are to die for little money and a lot of food.

Checked out Olivia’s today due to my being in the area. Pleasantly surprised, it was what they said it was, got the chicken and waffles and was not disappointed. Wings were small but they give you five, so who cares unless you’re greedy. Wait staff was attentive, food was good and I left there on full, will definitely be going back. And the price was reasonable, good way to start your day.

Given the location and the fact that there aren’t a lot of sit down restaurants in the area, this place is a diamond in the rough. The food is really good, the service was good and it’s nice and clean. Have only been for breakfast, but the omelet and pancakes were right on point. If you are in the area, this place is definitely worth checking out.

Love, love, love the chicken and waffles. This restaurant is easy to overlook due to the neighborhood but overlooking it would be a mistake. I wish I could comment on more of the offerings but having tried the chicken and waffles on a recommendation, I can’t seem to bring myself to order anything else.

This place was amazing! 2 days in a row for breakfast. First day had an awesome omelette. Today I had the best chicken and waffles I’ve ever had in my life. Sorry to LoLo’s(AZ). I would recommend this place to anyone looking for good home cooked authentic food. Added to my list of Chicago Favs.

Absolute best in Diner Food and Quality. Served hot and fresh with a smile. I would recommend the steak, chicken and waffles(yum) or any dish! As many as I have tried they each are delicious. The managers and wait staff are attentive and all assist each guest. Anyone can open a diner but this one is adds the quality! Missing the 5th star due to parking is a bit challenging.

When you are south of the Chicago city limits like I was today, you will come across a village called«Dolton». I definitely suggest making a visit to Olivia’s Restaurant on Sibley Blvd. This family restaurant serves breafast, lunch and dinner 7 days a week. However what caught my attention was their homemade Chicken N’ Waffles. Served with 5 pieces of whole wings and the breading was spot on perfect. The 7″ inch Belgium waffle also deserves an honorable mention. Perfect grid patterns with deep square pockets made like champ! Funny thing is I actually ordered something else. As the server walked away I said under my breath«darn, i should have ordered the chicken n waffle». Well she heard me and said she would change my order. Oh yeah. smart move!
