I order the day after Christmas. It was a Saturday and it was packed but I ordered to go. I ordered biscuits and gravy and a side of corn beef and hash. The corn beef and hash literally tasted like the canned producted you buy a the supermarket. The biscuits and gravy tasted awful. Maybe it was just that day or something but even my sister hated what she ordered. This is a review solely based on the food

Food was typical denny’s fair, friends country fried steak was a bit overdone, but the service was quick and polite

I would love to work here. Getting paid to do nothing. Wait times are ridiculous and its not busy. I don’t think it’s supposed to take 20 minutes for water. Staff is nice though.

Back in the day IHOP use to be the place to go for breakfast! I mean I use to love everything about them from the steak to the burgers, the fries to the hash browns, the eggs to omelet but now its a ho hum type of experience! IHOP pancakes use to be the best, I mean I use to compare all of the restaurants I visited to them but now they are just average! They charge you almost a dollar for onions to be added to your hash browns and they give you less than a spoonful, Really? I asked my waitress for more onions and she said«Do you mean another order?» I look at the fresh faced girl who was only doing her job and said«No, I want the onions that were suppose to come with this order!» she smiled and said«Those are the onions!» I knew at that moment that she was not the person to speak too I asked for the manager and he told me that the onions are weighed out and that is what I was suppose to get… not trying to be rude but I wanted to know did he want those sprinkle of onions back but before it got ugly he just gave me some more onions! Now, I know times are hard but today for everyone but when you give someone less than an ounce of onions for .89 cent then I think that is taking advantage of the customer because you get those onions whole sale, another resounding, Really? Okay, I digress let me get back to the food! The food was good it wasn’t great and I truly wish they could remember what they use to be like because the only reason we still go to this or any IHOP is because it was in the area and its not a bad breakfast but its not a good one! SN: The restrooms are clean and the staff is for the most part friendly, but I just wish they didn’t lose sight of what made them the best in the past!

The food was standard fair for an IHOP. The pancakes were bland, the sausage greasy, and the eggs were dry. The service was worse than the food. The server talked 500 miles an hour and never asked if we needed anything. We waited too long for the check and had to have the manager refill our drinks for us. I would have put a ½ star review if I could.

This restaurant was pretty crowed but our party of four was seated very quickly. Our waitress was very polite and efficient. Everything was going fine until my friend did not like the cheese in his omelet. When he requested to change his breakfast, the young manager asked him during the conversation, «didn’t you read the menu?» Well, my friend held his composure, and ignored his comment. The manager must of read our faces and decided to comp all of my friends food. What started out as a nice breakfast with friends went downhill with just a small statement from the management.

Well, let’s say that the other Unilocaler’s and I are in agreement, this place service and food is terribly sorry! If this was food network and IHOP, were one of the chef’s on the chopping block on CHOPPED they would be chopped! Our food was to-go, it was a Sunday(I do understand church«Flow»), but that was not any excuse. So if you do decide to be a patron, I must advise to not go on a Sunday and with any expectation to be satisfied.

It was 11pm, and my parents and I were completely ticked off at the Chicago traffic. It wouldn’t have been so torturous had we known ahead of time that all of the major highways leading back to Ohio had been blocked at certain points. The GPS was absolutely worthless, as it kept telling us to go back to the same roads that had been closed off. That said, a good 5 hours was stuck sitting in traffic and/or dodging trucks — the entertaining component of all of this. Gone was my dad’s habit of driving 10 mph BELOW the speed limit(Oh Asian parents!) Instead, it was replaced by some mad driving skills I never knew he possessed. Digression aside, IHOP was the only place that was open this late, so we decided to grab some food before finally hitting the(right) road home — all thanks to the directions provided by a kind-hearted highway patrol officer. Staying an additional night in Chi-town was, sadly, not an option due to prior engagements the next morning. So what sets this IHOP apart from the hundreds found across the country? The ridiculously slow service. Considering there were only two other tables, the 45-minute wait for food was just absurd. The redeeming factor was the Nutella crepes, which I graciously inhaled — highly, highly recommend! My dad’s tilapia and my mom’s chicken fingers were definitely not worth the wait, however. Arrival time: 4:30 in the AM.
