I’ve been living in Dorchester for about a year now and I really like the food at the restaurant. It’s not high class but the food is really good and that’s what’s really important to me.

Best sweet tea in town. Great service when you call ahead. Hot pepper sauce is homemade.

I have a love hate relationship with that place. I love to hate it but I hate that I keep going back every time I am in a bind. I have lived in Dot for a long time and I can tell you that this place has been shut down by the health department at least twice. That is VERY worrisome to me. But I have to tell you that every time they opened back up, the food quality improved, as well as the cleanliness of the place. That earned them a full star for effort. I black balled this place a long time ago but when my car is buried in snow & I can’t drive all the way to the South End for food, I bow my head & accept the dose of humility mother nature is giving me. It is in no way my hot spot for good food but when you can’t go far, Chung Wah should do. I don’t get too adventurous with them. I stick with the shrimp fried rice, chicken wings, fries, fried plantains, broccoli chicken. If you get any rice plate, be prepared to pay $ 6 for 2 days worth of food because they give you plenty of bang for your buck. They are open late but if you plan on going after dark don’t leave your gun/vest at home because this place is in the H-O-O-D.

Not bad, considering looking for a good Chinese food spot in Dorchester. I like their appetizers and the french fries with chicken wings(#6 I think). I lived in Dorchester forever, and this spot was pretty popular growing up. Definitely go for their ½ fried chicken with pork fried rice… it’s good, and not many(if any) restaurants serve that in the Boston area… except for Chinatown of course. I know they don’t offer delivery, but what makes them unique is their customer service and offering free lemonade/iced tea with your order. :)
