I stopped by today to buy a watercolor journal, after having just taken a watercolor journaling class from a local artist. I was disappointed with the selection, but I did find something to hold me over until I can order one online and have it shipped — I won’t bother looking again, though, since they didn’t have anything like what I actually wanted. They did have a nice selection of brushes, which seemed overpriced. Most of the store seemed overpriced, and I really dislike the gimmicky coupon promotions. It makes me want to not buy anything unless I have a coupon, which I don’t always have. Basically, unless I go buy something every week to use the old coupon and get a new one, then I’m going to be feeling like I got a bad deal. I resent the transparent attempt to manipulate me into developing an A.C. Moore habit. ;)
Three stars instead of two because I do like pretty much everything about A.C. Moore better than the only other local competitor that I know of, Michaels.
