So very sad that Attilio’s is no longer open. The food here was just SO good…

This restaurant was great when it was in the Boonton/​Denville area.
Something happened with the move to Dover though. It’s not the same.
Typical NJ Italian food. Your Italian mother would balk at the dishes served here.

Solid place! My friend and I decided to exit the highway at a random town, and we stumbled upon Attilio’s in Dover – such a happy accident!
Everything screamed old school Italian restaurant with a very nice décor that was a mix btwn butcher paper over checkered table cloths and art deco lamp fixtures and sconces – WITH people on the dancefloor groovin to songs sung karaōke style by 2 performers on stage. We both got the gnocchi (although eggplant rollatini tempted as did the canneloni), his aglio y olio and mine in vodka sauce – DELISH. Our glasses emptied and new water was poured or fresh cocktails offered (Campari & soda, ya’ll!).
It was the cap on a great night, and we will definitely go back for more delicious cheesy dance floor fun – not to mention cheesy garlic bread. No it is not fine classic dining but that is the very (beautiful) point. Let your hair down, party, and get your mangia on!
Tip: Go around 10 when the family groups are wrapping up, food is still coming hot and fast, drinks are flowing freely, service is good and having a fun time, and the dance floor is heating up to classics new and old, from disco to Gaga.

Great place! I was always skeptical to try Attilio’s since from the outside it doesn’t look like much. However, after eating here once I couldn’t wait to go back again. The restaurant have a great atmosphere… as if you are in the dining room of your Italian grandparents. There are old photographs of families hanging on the walls throughout and red and white checked table cloths on the table. Very cute!
They also offer entertainment and have a stage so if you are there on a performance night and wish to sit in the main dining room expect to pay a cover charge. There is also a room called the Lounge which has less abviance but it still nice. Better if you just want dinner and don’t care about the music. Also probably better for kids.
My husband’s favorite part is the «sale» wine list. Wines by the bottle that are half the price. You can get a great bottle for $ 12!
The food is amazing. Some of our favorites are the pasta with sausage and broccoli rabe, pasta with vodka sauce and proscuitto, clams oreganata, and the hot antipasto. The menu is very extensive with many choices.
This is a great restaurant. Especially fun with a bigger group or for a special occasion.

The menu is old world Italian. Staff is nice. Place is much larger than the old location and they have entertainment on select evenings. The food is better than average. Had eggplant and pasta which was very good.

Outstanding! Attilio’s was fantastic last night. This was my first time here and everything was perfect.
I had the Chicken Scarpiello which is sauteed chicken and sausage with Potatoes in a ‘heavy vinegar’ Delicious I tell you Delicious. I had for dessert the Italian Coconut cake, Oh this was good and is a must try. My wife who does not like coconut loved it.
The staff completed the dinner and made the review 5 stars. Never have I been welcomed or thanked so warmly. As we walked to our table several waitresses said hello to us and on our way out thanked us. During our dinner the manager (owner?) came to our table and asked how everything was. It was a genuine interest not what you find at chain restaurants where the manager is required to stop at the table.
Overall as you can see I loved this place and am shouting it from the rooftops.

The owner is very friendly. Décor is top-​notch. Food is good too.

Great atmosphere and great food. There are three main areas to the establishment — the bar, the dining room and the lounge. You can find the right area to relax and enjoy some drinks, some light fare, or a full on delicious meal.
