Extremely bland bagels and unfriendly wait staff. My everything bagel had hardly anything on it and the bagels itself was mealy.

Very good food at bagel barrel, most of the employees are very friendly as well. If you come in touch with the owner, he’s a huge sarcastic asshole, especially to young kids. Have spoke with numerous people who all say the same… Big sign in the store that says«I can only please one person a day, and today doesn’t look like your day» Kind of resembles the owners attitude.

My go to for a bagel sandwich when in town for work. They really are the best in the area. Very fresh. I can agree with some of the comments regarding the friendliness of the staff but I am there for a bagel not the conversation and i always get it to go.

Good Morning Doylestown… Very tasty bagels. Location couldn’t be better for meeting with friends or clients. I usually go first thing in the morning and parking is never an issue, plus there is a public parking lot around the corner so you have to walk maybe 50 yards. It does get busy on weekends, but so does every other breakfast eatery. They do move fast but sometimes a line forms out the door, which is a testament to their quality of the bagel offerings. I read a few of the neg comments but i’ve found them to be a very friendly staff with a sardonic wit on a few but that’s part of the charm that shouldn’t deter you from a visit. I suppose others have the skin thickness and sense of humor of Lt. Steven Hauk from«Good Morning Vietnam».funny? funny how?

Bagels just okay, terrible customer service. Employees were rude, won’t be going back.

One of the best bagel places ever!!! I used to come here with my parents all the time as a kid, so I love that this place reminds me of my childhood. The employees here are so nice as well. The have the freshest bagels with a huge variety of flavor choices. My go to is a toasted blueberry bagel with plain cream cheese. They also have breakfast sandwiches, which are also amazing. This is my go to place for bagels in Doylestown and they have yet to disappoint me in my many many years of being a customer.

Good soft, fresh bagels and cream cheese. Quick service and good selection of bagels. We’ve came here everytime we visit Doylestown and are alway looking forward to eating here.

Limited choices for bagels in Doylestown so you are essentially stuck with this place or crappy«Manhattan» bagel. While the kids that work here are all courteous, the a$$hole adults are just a lot of rude sh1ts. They act like they are disappointed in themselves for having to work the counter on a Sunday morning. I know that the less-than-courteous ones that work here aren’t the owners, I don’t like negative comments on a small business but they need to have an attitude discussion with the employees. Bagels are bagels, nothing fantastic here.

Bagel Barrel has been getting better and better if that is possible. Not only are they continuing to add and rotate new flavors of bagels and cream cheese, they have added locally roasted coffee from Homestead, and added an extra large coffee cup. Service remains fantastic, as these folks are committed to the community and making people happy. Doylestown does not have a business that is a better neighbor and servant of its citizens.

I stayed with a family in Doylestown who swears by Bagel Barrel. They had a lot of family staying with them over the weekend and bought bagels for the mornings. The first day the bagels were bought they didn’t even need to be toasted becuase they were so fresh. Over the course of the days, I tried the everything and seasame bagels and thought they were both great. I wish I could find a place in San Diego that make such great bagels!

Rude rude rude. It’s amazing how they let themselves down by being so darn rude to their customers. Won’t bother again.

Bagel Barrel is right near the heart of the town and the inside is a cozy place. The workers were somewhat pleasant. I got a sesame bagel toasted with cream cheese. The bagel tastes a lot like manhattan bagel, so I was satisfied. The service was a little slow, but that’s understandable because the place was pretty busy. Bagel Barrel is a good place to stop by if you are looking for a little bite to eat.

Pretty much what you would expect. Good bagels, average service. If you are hankering for a bagel in Doylestown Borough, this is the place to go.

I’m not a bagel store manager or owner but there are a couple of fundamental things I know… Have plenty of plain bagels to sell… No matter the time of day. You are a bagel store. How do you continue to run out of your basic product? It’s pathetic and it is a usual occurrence. Whether its a muffin or bagel, have enough on hand to sell! If you extra inventory, give them to a food bank or shelter! It’s good karma, good community service and good business. You won’t tick customers off because you will have product to sell them and ring up extra sales! Unless… You want them to bad mouth you all over town and write negative reviews like this one, then keep up with your weak product management. Btw, your prices are astronomical but I’m willing to pay… Just have the product ready to sell… consistently!

Best bagels in Bucks Co. and probably the only fresh«NY-style» bagels around… Hot and crusty. They also know how to handle a crowd, which there is every weekend. Tasty cream cheese and they dont charge an arm and a leg. Come here whenever I can with the kids. Good coffee too.

The aroma from Bagel Barrel wafts down the street and meets my nose a half block before you my in the door. Upon entering the door and getting in line I am reminded of the great bagel shops I grew up with on Long Island: no frills, lots of customers, baskets full of wonderful smelling bagels and a half dozen or so people scurrying behind the counter to fill orders. The bagels are made the right way and are reminiscent of the ones I used to enjoy in the New York area. I have had the spinach and the pumpernickel. The pumpernickel is great. The spinach is good but I would like more spinach or garlic flavor or something in there.

This is a great bagel shop! My favorites are the chocolate croissant, garlic bagel toasted with butter and the blueberry bagels. Everything is made on the premises, so of course all the bagels, croissants and muffins are delicious!!! They have a great selection of Snapple and juices. Be prepared for a line on the weekends and special days in town. Yummy!

I stopped here last week for a quick breakfast while in town. I always make sure to eat bagels while on the East Coast. The everything bagel was good, nice texture and flavor. I got it with plain cream cheese. However, the coffee was just OK. I used their half and half dispenser and it seemed to have some sort of hazelnut flavoring in it. I didn’t try it until we had already left and I just threw it away. Luckily there’s a Starbucks down the street. If you’re going to come here, I would recommend getting your coffee elsewhere. But the bagels are good.

Been here a few times hoping they can redeem themselves but continue to disappoint. Might serve the worst breakfast sandwich I’ve ever experienced. They cooked the entire contents of the sandwich in a microwave(eggs, bacon, cheese). The eggs were green, brown and hard around the edges. I had some of my girlfriends porkroll, egg, and cheese and wasn’t sure what I was eating. I felt sick for an entire day and it’s safe to say that will be my last experience at the Bagel Barrel.
