We were a party of 18, food was very good, all meals arrived at the same time, service was wonderful, beautifully decorated. And separate checks! Nothing we requested was too much. BYOB! Specials were great, all served with soup, egg or spring roll, rice(brown or white) and dessert. Very reasonable. Some of the orders were sweet & sour chicken, chicken & shrimp with broccoli, Gen Tso’s chicken, Moo Sho pork. It really was a great dining experience. Everyone enjoyed their meals and want to come back!

They have had a change of ownership and the food quality has gone downhill. They don’t make the crystal shrimp anymore but substituted it with a seafood stir fry with imitation crabmeat, tiny shrimp, and tough, small scallops. The wuxi sweet spare ribs barely had any meat, and the minced chicken with eggplant was excessively greasy. I was also quite disappointed in the portion sizes, which have also decreased. The saving graces were the marinated smoked fish and the marinated peel-n-eat shrimp. I should also add that we ordered a $ 200 catering take-out order and they forgot a dish and left out the chicken in the ginger chicken with broccoli. It’s not very pleasant when you expect chicken slices and find… well, just mushy broccoli in a greasy brown sauce. We did bring this to their attention as soon as we found out when we got home but they just said that there was nothing they could do about it. Um, geez, thanks for overcharging us and not even doing anything to rectify the situation even after admitting your mistake. Never again. I miss the old owners and cooking.

Mediocre, yet edible, Mandarin & Cantonese«Chinese American» food located in New Briatain right on 202(near the Giant — formerly Clemens). They’ve been around for years which proves that: 1. They are(nearly) the only game in town 2 They must be doing SOMETHING right. Good for a wonton/eggroll/combo plate fix. Ask for light on the sauce to mitigate the grease factor. Safe, decent, but by no means a holy grail. And kid friendly.(Often nearly empty!)
