Jean W’s 8-18-2011 review was spot on. This, and virtually all Blimpie franchise stores make excellent sandwiches, and dominate their national competitor, Subway. I know this store(and their sister store on 700 E in Sandy) are closed now, but I wanted to put in my vote for getting a Blimpie back here in the Sandy/Draper area. In fact, just last night(1-12-2015) I bought four sandwiches from the Subway that moved in to this same location(when Blimpie closed), and the sandwiches were awful. The bread was dry and tasteless, everything was pre-sliced and carefully weighed-out, meager portions, and no taste. No comparison to what this former Blimpie(and the Sandy store) used to provide to their customers! What a shame. And yes, I am going to write up last night’s experienced here on Unilocal for that Subway franchise… as maybe their manager will read it and take it to heart. Anyway…really miss you Blimpie! Please come back to the Sandy/Draper area!!!

I really like the sandwiches I get from this Blimpie! They’re always careful when putting my sandwich together, not that it would effect the taste, but I hate it when my sandwich is haphazardly thrown together. That said. the taste is amazing! The bread is always soft and fresh and just plain yummy! My favorite is the ham and swiss on the parmesan bread. I should also add that the staff is always very pleasant and seem to go out of their way to make sure your experience is a good one.

There are days that I am admittedly irrational until I get a Blimpie. I have always been mystified by those who choose Subway’s ashen plastic meat, and limp transparent veggies, over Blimpie — regardless of how far one would need to travel to get it. I whistle merrily as I drive by 137 Subways to get to one of the seemingly three Blimpie’s in the world. For those sub fans who haven’t gone out of their way to obtain a Blimpie, I implore you — give it a go. Listen, it’s still a chain retail sub shop, so don’t expect anything too gourmet. In fact, without tasting the food, the only blatant differences you’ll note between Blimpie and … say … Subway are(1) the staff at this location is always very friendly and welcoming,(2) Blimpie offers a nice pickled sweet pepper; and(3) their deli meat is actually meat, and not grey or even lavender in color. This Blimpie is located in a small Draper strip mall. It’s easy to get to, nice, clean, and has very pleasant atmosphere. Which is important in case you want to stick around to feast on your yummy sandwich, pannini, wrap, soup, salad, chips, cookies, or a handful of other treat options. But, here’s what separates Blimpie from the«others» for me; Blimpie uses *fresh* ingredients, and it’s indisputably evident when you bite into one of their tasty creations. So good! And if you happen to line the interior of the sandwich with salt and vinegar potato chips, which I’ve heard *some* people do, it’s even better. As is typical, you choose the mix for loading into one of their healthy whole grain bread options. Aside from the great selection of fresh, colorful veggies, I love that they offer 4 or 5 kinds of peppers, alone. And if you ask, they’ll load any of them on as heavily or lightly as you wish. They provide several choices of sauces, dressings, mayo, mustards, etc. You can choose to top it all off with oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, and an oregano herb mix. All good. They have many standard combo sandwich selections, in 6″ or 12″ portions. Also, I love that they offer a 4″ mini size sandwich for those occasions when you know you’ll be eating a big dinner, and still need your Blimpie. Pricing is comparable to, say… Subway…so it’s pretty reasonble to pick up a worthy meal here. They also offer a loyalty club if you want to get your 10th sub free. Stop the Subway masochism. Eat the Blimpie. Thank me once you’re addicted. I’ll see you at the meetings.
