After 10 days in an rv and cooking quick and easy meals, I was in search of a tasty local breakfast place. I found it in Hagermann’s. We were cheerfully greeted by the young man cooking up the French toast. The bearded gentleman ringing us up was a pleasure. After eating I hovered around the cookie case and was waiting to order one when I decided that I didn’t really need one. I went out to the car to fill it up with gas while my husband waited for another plate of the all you can eat french toast. As I adjusted my car seat, the bearded man(owner?) came out and apologized he wasn’t able to get to me in line sooner but was there something I had wanted? Carside service! How sweet. I told him I was coming back to get my husband in a few minutes and that I would get a cookie. When I returned, he had already given the cookie to my daughter… for free. Breakfast was tasty, but even better was the service. We’ll be back!

I’ve been coming to Hagermann’s regularly since 2003. Its one of the best sandwich shops and bakeries in SLC. If you come midweek during lunch the owner is there taking orders. Get the Turkey pomodora, your taste buds will thank you later, and if you wanna splurge on a dessert you can’t go wrong with a Blondie, every man needs a good Blondie, and if your lucky they’ll have the lime bars out.

Get the MOOCH!!! By far the best Sandwich there but you can’t go wrong with any of them. Great breakfast and too with all you can eat french toast!

Tired of typical sandwiches? If so, this is the next bakery/café for you to try. My favorite sandwiches are the Roast Beef A La Chris and the Turkey Pomodoro.

What a refreshing place to eat! The food alone is outstanding. The breakfast sandwiches are perfection and the lunch selection is on point. Try any of them with the jalapeño jelly, you won’t be disappointed. But even better than the food, the customer service is refreshing and genuine. There are very few establishments you can go to these days that give consistent, quality service: Harmon’s and In N Out come to mind. But Hagermann’s takes the cake. Every single time I am in there, they take good care of me, offer a friendly smile, and seem very passionate about their menu. Worth the stop!!!

I was looking for a new lunch option away from the mêlée that is 12300 S. and Minuteman Drive, and Hagermann’s didn’t disappoint. The sandwich selection is fantastic, and they make it for you there on the spot. This means you have to wait a few minutes for it, but it’s worth it. I’m a fan of the BLT and the Hawaiian Hula Ham in particular. Go pork! I want to go back for breakfast, since that menu looks equally as fantastic. The one bad thing is that one of the older guys behind the register flirted so much with my much-younger-than-him co-worker that now it’s a little awkward for all of us when he’s at the counter.

I have been to Hagermann’s a number of times for the French Toast. In fact, it’s so good it’s been my birthday treat for the last couple of years. However, I’d never had a sandwich there, until my friend Adam Wills introduced me to the Mooch the other day. It is seriously like a party in your mouth. The different flavors, the sweet and spicy, the savory — thay all come together in such a glorious medley that I wondered how many of the sandwiches I could eat in one sitting. No joke, the jalapeño jelly is one of the best things I’ve ever eaten and it compliments this sandwich in a way I would have never guessed. It is truly a treat. The only problem now is, Whenever I go back I won’t want to get anyhing else and I won’t enjoy any of the other awesome sandwiches that are available. Quite the quandry.

Hagermann’s is where I go for Comfort Sandwiches. This is a small bakery-restaurant, which lives up to its name(bakery) nicely. Their bread selections are very good(and healthy!) and, if they have any left, you can buy the bread while you’re there for a sandwich. They also offer bags of coffee and a few other random edibles for sale. My personal favorite sandwich is their Hawaiian Hula Ham. Perfect Black Forest ham slices, swiss cheese, veggies(I add onions!), slather it up with their pineapple jalapeño jelly, and then grill it… oooh it is so good! All sandwiches come with a complimentary house-made cookie. I’m not a huge chocolate chip fan, which they always seem to feature, so I go for either the raisin or the cranberry oatmeal. Also, very tasty. Their soups are great — tomato bisque, and chicken with wild rice are absolutely lovely. Surprisingly, I’ve never had the salads here, as I’m drawn by the sandwiches… Now, let me talk about the service here a bit, because it’s phenomenal at this location. I believe he’s the owner/manager, but the main guy who’s always there is a sweetheart who always recognizes his regulars, and does all he can to ensure a good time and good food is had by all. He is the cherry on top of my Hagermann’s experience. Here’s the only catch: sandwiches here are a bit pricey. However, they make up for it by giving you a nicely-sized sandwich. Even their«regular» sized sandwich, which is a «half» most elsewhere, is large. I could only eat a full sandwich here if I had a couple of days. Their combo meals do save you a few pennies, and I would highly recommend going this direction so you can try the soup. They do serve breakfast here. I’ve not had the chance to try it, but have heard very good things. They also cater if you’re looking for a great group lunch. Overall, anytime I’m hungry for really great comfort food, I stop at Hagermann’s for a sandwich vacation.

This is not the cheapest place to buy a sandwich but it is one of the best. Cheap food is not good and if that is what you are looking for go to Subway. Food is great, sandwiches are creative yet tasty and service is excellent. In short… this place is great! The greatest compliment I can pay is I ate here for breakfast and then came back for lunch! And I’m one who always prefers going to somewhere new.

You Unilocalers did not let me down! I was looking for a tasty place to lunch with my fam and this had great reviews. YES! It’s true! It’s delicious! I had the Vegie Fun Guy burger, pun-ily titled for the large grilled portobello mushroom. Wow. It was so good, I think it had MORE flavor than the bite of my sister’s «Bob’s BLT» that I tried. To be fair though, the BLT was also excellent. The bacon was cooked just how I like it, just a little bit crispy. Not burnt, but not so chewy that one bite leaves you with a entire piece of of gummy fatty meat hanging from your chomper. It takes a lot to make me happy with bacon, so big kudos there. I had the white chocolate cranberry cookie, yum. Each sandwich comes with one. Other options were chocolate chip and butterscotch. Also, a huge thank you to them for not disappointing in their title as a bakery. They really do have great bread. The multi grain on my sandwich was perfect. I can’t wait to try more. After reading about the all you can eat french toast and looking over the rest of the breakfast menu and prices, I can guarantee, I will be back during the AM hours in the near future.

The sandwiches are super-tasty and fresh, and each sandwich is served with your choice of cookie. Here’s my one and only complaint: I wanted to buy a dozen sugar cookies for my staff, and they wanted to charge me the same price-per-cookie for 12 as you would pay for 1. So, a dozen sugar cookies would have been $ 24. I’m not one to complain about prices, as I realize that certain things are labor-intensive, but $ 24 for a dozen cookies? C’mon. Even doughnut shops understand that you have to cut the price when somebody buys a dozen.

Yummy! Good bread is the base for their ‘all you can eat French toast’ and it is wonderful! The guy working there is the owners dad from what i gathered and he is really nice and talkative. Gives it a real home town feel. Definitely worth stopping by for a tasty breakfast.

All you can eat french toast. Made to order… super goodness… I only wish I had the ability to eat more.
