My husband got horribly sick from eating the food here. Unfortunately we won’t be returning.

This place is great for when you’re looking for food at 2 a.m. and the rest of Utah has shut down as always. It was a bit out of our way, but we didn’t mind coming here for the crunchy tacos, Lomita Argentinia, churros, puerco adobado, and carne asada fries.

The Salt Lake valley is a Mecca for drive thru Mexican restaurants. No matter your location you are never far from a Rancheritos, Hectors, Betos.(the list goes on) So is Gual Bertos really any different from these other places? Not particularly. It’s just as greasy, fattening and addicting. And it has a similar taste to all the others. But that does not deter me from coming here. If anything, it has that familiar taste that I love about all these places. A bit dirty, but stupidly satisfying. The burritos are huge, take home and save for later status. Really can never go wrong with chili verde, carne. Tostadas and beef tacos seem to be my go-to, regardless. Do yourself a favor and get some rice and beans too. They make the meal. Best of all, it’s reasonably priced and usually very quick.

Living in San Diego for a few years, I became very familiar with the authentic Taco Shops and this one absolutely reminds me of those. Great recipe for«Al Pastor», which in Utah is called«Adobado» — slow-cooked pork. And the carne asada is tender and flavorful, no gristle! Great Pico de Gallo, too. Rolled Tacos are another favorite and Gual Bertos hooks it up with variations of 3 or 5, with guacamole and cheese. Their Roja salsa is very good, the Verde lacks a little flavor — typically the more flavorful and less spicy of the two. And they’re open late… an excellent source for late-night liquor-soak.

Decent Mexican food. Large portions. Good value for the money. Lots of calories. Greasy as hell. I frequent this place for all of the foregoing reasons and because it is very convenient to my home. It is a must that I stop here when I travel and come home from the airport. Usually very late. Always open. Like another reviewer said, the menu is very similar to other local fast casual Mexican joints like Betos, Albertos, Los Albertos, Filibertos, Rancheritos, and I’m sure another couple of variations I forgot to name. All serve the same type of no frills Mexican food in large quantities. Even though they are very similar, I have grown to prefer the Chile Verde and Adobada pork at Gual Bertos over the other«tos.» Not a scientific comparison by any means but I think their pork is more tender and juicier than the others. And their sauces have just the right amount of flavor and spiciness. Look, this is not gourmet, but it is pretty darn good. Three stars only because it’s not exceptional food but if you are hungry and want something tasty(and consistent as I’ve found; with no material gastrointestinal issues afterwards(except when you get magical fruit included in your dish)), this is the place. My favorites are the Chile Verde plate and the Pork Adobada fries. The latter is just a variation(off menu) of the carne aside fries. I find the carne asada to be a little tough and dry(but flavorful). One day I ordered the fries and had them replace the beef with the marinated adobada pork. Have not ordered carne asada since that time. I also like the fact that Gual Bertos does not charge me an extra $ 1 to swap pork for beef like some of the other«tos» that I have been to(Rancheritos, I’m looking at you). By the way, try not to question how you get a big ass burrito filled with meat, meat and more meat for around $ 5. I don’t question. I just eat. Yum yum. Oh yeah, if you like football(and I mean the real futbol), there is always a game playing on the TVs here.

A little spot of heaven has been found in Draper Utah. This is the best fast food 24 hour Mexican joint in the valley.(I’ve eaten at almost all of them). The cows and pigs they get their meat from must be expensive considering they have to travel to Kolob to slaughter them, but they still manage to keep their prices low! I might die early from a heart attack considering how many times I eat here, and I’m ok with that, years of my life well spent. If you’re within a 10 mile radius from this place don’t settle for anything else, drive there and eat like the Gods. I would like to meet Gual Berto one day but I don’t feel worthy, maybe after some prayer, repentance, and sacrifices I will be worthy to breath the same air as him. I recommend a super breakfast burrito with no potatoes… don’t waste your stomach room on potatoes! They make it huge still stuffed with eggs, bacon, ham, steak, and cheese! Also a must is the carnitas taco on a flour tortilla(make sure to ask for flour, none of that corn celiac’s disease stuff!) Best carnitas in the state of Utah, possibly the best north of the Mexican frontera, hell it might be better than in Mexico! Get to Guals before it is taken up to heaven just like the city of Enoch.

It’s nice that it’s open 24 hrs a day but the food was not good. I ordered the breakfast burrito which turns out is just eggs, cheese, and potatoes in a flour tortilla. It was bland and flavorless and had no vegetables. I could only handle eating a piece of it.

I hate to admit it, but there are some weeks when I eat here 3 – 4 times. The food is great, the portions are awesome, and they’re open 24 hours a day. I usually get a mixed breakfast burrito and if I’m really hungry I’ll get a cheese quesadilla with it. The super nachos are good, but the carne asada fries are better. If you’re feeling up to something more than a burrito, get the chile verde plate with rice and beans and scoop up the deliciousness with a giant flour tortilla. You’ll love it.

They used to be great but now that they have become popular the price has doubled and the food size has gotten smaller! Don’t waste your money here instead go to rancheritos down the street.

Among the«Bertos» group of restaurants, this one stands out for it’s food quality – great flavor, freshness, and prepared and served nice and hot.

Are you kidding me? The carne asada burrito was unreal! So good! I’ve only been here once, but I will definitely be back. Food: Like I said above — unreal. Tons of flavor in the meat, plus the guac in the burrito was a perfect addition. Try it. You’ll love it. And if you don’t, you’re not human. Service: I mean. They were nice and all. I wouldn’t say there was real«service» here other than them making the food and handing it to me. Atmostphere: Eh. It’s an old Kneaders, but you’d have no idea other than the mural in the front of the dining area. Tile floors, cheap tables & chairs. a somewhat-but-not-really clean feel all around. But hey, it’s gives it more of that«hole in the wall» feel.

One of my favorites… they never disappoint. I have had many of the items on the menu and I will highly recommend the chile verde, chicken fajitas, burritos and the lengua. Friendly staff more than makes up for the lack of décor.

I cannot speak for anything else on the menu because I have only eaten one item, the carna asada burrito. It is absolutely delicious filled with cut up steak, pico, and guacamole. Never disappoints!

Finally something resembling SoCal Mexican food! Super nachos, breakfast burrito, and rolled tacos are good. Horchata is made in house and passes the test. Everyone is nice, food is fast. It’s the best place in Draper for Mexican food.

I wen’t here to get a quick bite although it was at 3 am I’ve been there before around that time and they always produce quality food so i ordered the 5 rolled tacos with guacamole and cheese. I got home and began to eat and as i did I found a pubic hair in one of the tacos also they tasted like they were nuked to death in a microwave. I will never be going back to this place again. my advice just stay away.

This place opened up few years back in Draper, it is serving food similar to Beto and Rancheritos, except you will probably be less likely to get sick here afterward. Down south in Draper, this is probably one of the few places that open 24⁄7 and was not populated with housewives. We sampled a few items on the menu with some nacho having the toppings on the side, a few rolls of tacos, and a chili verde burrito. The chips were not soggy when the toppings were on the side. Meats were not very good in any of the dishes. Chili verde sauce was not too bad. They have tres leches cake and flan for desserts. Both were ok. The quality was about as good as it gets in this area for the price you pay. I guess if it is late at night and you are craving cheap Mexican in the area, then Gual Bertos would be the place to go, otherwise there are better quality Mexican food during the day.

The #2 Combo Plate with 2 shredded beef tacos, rice and beans is my «go-to» here. By the time I load them up with chopped onions, cilantro and the red sauce at the salsa bar, the tacos are sheer perfection!

Good food, but greasy and they don’t trim the fat. I guess that makes them more authentic. I love the salsa bar too!

I am so glad that this place is near my place of employment, because this place is delicious! Tonight was my first time trying Gual Bertos, and my only regret is that I’ve waited so long to try it! I ordered the bean & cheese burrito smothered in enchilada sauce, which is displayed in their front window. It was made in absolutely no time, and it was huge. I paid $ 7 for it, and it was worth every penny. Before consuming my delicious burrito, I stopped at the condiment bar. They offered two different sauces, onions, peppers, carrots, and cilantro. Cilantro makes my lady parts tingle, so I loaded up. Finally, it was time to consume my burrito. After sawing into it with their weak plastic silverware, I finally had my first bite. The enchilada sauce tasted like thanksgiving stuffing, which threw me off at first. After my second bite, I was hooked on the sauce. I don’t know why it tastes like stuffing, but it goes perfectly with their amazing refried beans. I cannot say enough good things about this burrito! The service was a tad bit slow upon me entering the establishment, but they were all super nice and helpful. The bathrooms were clean also, which I honestly didn’t expect. I will for sure be back for more delicious burritos.
