Worst experience I have EVER had in 40 years of having my hair done. I finally listened to my husband to «go to a salon» as I had been going to any close by franchise for my trims. I walked in and was asked what I was wanting to do and I stated as I held the ends of my hair up «I am thinking 3 – 4 inches off to give it a nice healthy ends». My daughter and I have been growing our hair out for over 2 years for a very meaningful and important donation that was to take place in July. I told the stylist about our journey and how hard it has been but how excited we were to do it. She took her comb and placed it where cutting the dead ends off would leave my hair, it placed it just about at the middle of my back. I agreed did a wash treatment and sat back down, she divided my hair in segments and started cutting. My first warning should have been half way through when she asked«should I be scooping up the hair on the floor»?” I replied«NO this is just the last trim before my donation» something I thought I had made perfectly clear. Imagine my surprise when she took the left side clip out to cut my crown… SNIP… My hair fell to my shoulders! I was stunned and was doing everything in my power not to FREAK out with the crowded salon. I was shaking thinking«it can’t be this bad» she never showed me the back and quickly wrapped it up, not even taking the time to blow dry my hair, walked me up front to charge me $ 40 for ruining my 2 year journey that now lay in a pile swept up in the garbage. I left, got in the car ran my hands through my hair that is now starting to dry and SHRINK. I called the salon in tears the receptionist said they would refund my money. Hmmm sadly they have not nor can I get an owner or manager to call me back. So now I have a cone shaped hair cut because I have a blunt cut all around that is thicker at the bottom rather than a «salon quality cut» not to mention the violation of my trust and instructions of what agreement I understood was made. And don’t worry the stylist response to my «THISISNOT4″!»(It was more like 12 – 14 in all honesty) You can grow it back! It’s not about the length of my hair I am most upset about it is the little girl who was let down over someone else’s actions and lack of taking responsibility. I was charged to have something so important literally cut away from me and the beautiful child who our dedicated donation was intended for. Now I get to pay to try and have it fixed. I deserved to get what I asked for which was 3−4″ being trimmed. No I can’t get my hair back nor can I get a return phone call from anyone to acknowledge what they did wrong and refund my money. WORSTEXPERIENCE! Cosmetology 101=LISTENTOTHECLIENT!!!

I want to be fair about this review, but thinking about my experience makes me frustrated. –DETAILED– I had a recommendation to visit the Sandy location, but they couldn’t accommodate my plans so we went to the Draper location. I had scheduled three pedicures and a couples massage as a birthday gift. The salon is descently decorated – easily the higher end of middle-of-the-road expectations. They have the taupe and browns scheme. The nail portion is right by the front door, and surprisingly didn’t make the whole place smell like polish. The hair salon is on the other side of the building, and noise is pretty well muffled. We came early and the pedicures started late. The three chairs were seated in an alcove together, so that was nice. Unfortunately, we were not given time to soak in the water for more than a minute or two before things got started. The exfoliating scrub was nice, the cooling clay masque I could have done without, but the massage was nonexistent. My calluses were minimal, and so I was abandoned with hot towels on my legs. The two others I was with had more to work with, but it was pretty clear the technicians had little to no interest in providing the foot and leg massage advertised on the site and what we were paying for. I will add that I have only had three pedicures in my life– the first one was nerve wracking because she scraped at soft skin, and the second was painful because she was too busy talking loudly about her sex life to notice. This massage was not rough nor painful(which I am grateful for), but also didn’t help or relax any muscles. Before the pedicures were over, one of the technicians had my friend hold her legs up so she could spray cleaner in the tub. I have several problems with this, one being exposure to unknown chemicals, and another being asked to make yourself uncomfortable during a spa experience – not to mention, why the hell can’t that wait until we had left?! My technician was definitely the most professional of the three, but she had a hidden fee I got to pay for with no notice. The website clearly states a flat fee for services, but I was the lucky winner who got to pay extra for my randomly assigned person. The pedicures started late, and they also ended early. Mind you, a clock sits behind the chairs so all the employees can see it, and you know, can time the experience. The couples massage was scheduled afterward, and guess what… it started late as well! Three people came into the waiting room while we were there and were taken in for their massage, which made waiting that much more awkward. The masseurs were very friendly when they finally came for us, however they were in street clothes and we were surprised when they introduced themselves. Now, I don’t know if I’ve just been misled by resort brochures, but this was not the«couples» massage I had in mind. We were in two separate rooms that had a curtain between them. Whatever, more room to work is fine. And really, how together can you be face down with your eyes closed? Moving on. The management needs to fix the mood music situation. The music was playing from a boom box in the room I was in, and had been on so long before we got started that the CD ended something like 15 minutes into the massage. My masseuse had to stop, put her glasses on, and find the buttons in the dim lighting. I don’t blame her, I blame the management for not having a smarter setup. The music stopped twice during our 90 minute massage, and after the second time my masseuse gave up on it. I was fine with that, but alas, we could hear people in the next room, and when they walked down the hall… not to mention every door that was closed and every chair moved in the building, and the ticking clock… and the loud air conditioner. I read other reviews about situations like this, and thought it wouldn’t be that big of a deal, but no. It is intensely unnerving and cheapens the whole experience. Finally paying,(after the extra fee was sprung on me) we were asked how we wanted the tip split, but the reception desk is right next to the nail room, and how do you respond to that honestly without sounding like the biggest bitch?(As an added bonus – take this however you want – there was no discussion of massage oil, and the kind used provided my sensitive skin with a huge zit… so unpleasant) In closing, the masseurs worked hard(and I would give them another try in a different setting), but I will never go back. And since draper is supposedly the bigger better location, I will not be trying the Sandy salon.

Great place for a mani — pedi, clean and comfortable. I was able to make an appointment the same day I called! Chrissy did an amazing job and was very friendly.

Went to Visions to have my hair and nails done before a wedding. So much fun! They let us bring in snacks and were really fun. I would totally go back.
