all-star coffee bar. Mazama does just about everything right: quality coffee, well trained baristas, and a cozy atmosphere inside or a spacious patio outside. happy Dripping has such a great coffee shop!

I stopped here with my kids on a cold Saturday afternoon. I got a Latte, and my girls got hot chocolate. It was very good coffee, and the girls loved the hot chocolate. The place was very unique. Small, quaint, and clean. It was a very good use of an old, traditional store. The main room was a little noisy, but they also had another room, which looked like a «study room». It was quiet, with lots of tables, and plenty of outlets for laptops. Great idea! I do allot of work in the area, so I’m very glad to find a local place for a mid day espresso based boost. I’m coming back.

Stopped here passing through town. Great little privately owned coffee shop. Cool vibe. Lots of seating both cozy and larger group. Great coffee, homemade pastries, and great service.

Great little spot nestled in the Hill Country. I was in the area for an event and decided to get me some Java. Great coffee, Great atmosphere and the locals made the place what it is. I enjoyed my coffee listening to this elderly man laugh so loud. He was having such a great time so I had to say hello. He laughter to the point of asthma. Spoke with him and learned he has been here in Dripping Springs for 60 years. We talked about politics and how the world is going to S&@t! I enjoyed the whole scene. To bad I live 65 minutes away or id be a regular. This was the Cheers coffee house version. The place everyone knows your name.

This coffee shop is great. Very clean! Good drinks, food and people. Always fast service. It reminds me of the old school coffee shops before they were mainstream and on every corner. It’s more of a community. An active main room and great big outdoor sitting area. They even have a quiet room in the back to get work done, read or maybe just sit in peace and quite. The drinks are delicious. I particularly love the matcha mint… its taste like a mint chocolate milkshake and of course the coffees is good too. Food is yummy. Try a quick treat or a sandwich. The food is always fresh. This is a staple spot for the people of the community. From just going to get caffeinated, business meetings, teens doing homework to moms and playdates for toddlers Mazamas is your spot.

Awesome to see a local non-Starbucks coffee shop in no less Dripping Springs! Been around the world a lot and this place makes one of the best White Chocolate Mochas with Caramel drizzle. Cool and trendy inside with a heathly dose of Texas hospitality!

I love everything about this coffee shop. The outside patio, separated rooms for«grown ups» and families, mo joe the goat, community calendar, lavender syrup. .. The list goes on. This is enough reason for me to want to make dripping springs a frequent vacation spot!

If Mazama Coffee were within a block or two of my place, I’d be here EVERYDAY. However, Dripping Springs is a little bit of a drive to get my daily coffee. My mom and I were on our way out of Austin and driving through Dripping Springs, TX on our way to Pedernales Falls State Park. As we drove through the center of town, we remembered the location of this coffee shop from a year ago when we were there for a family wedding(it clearly made a good impression on us back then!!) This coffee shop is perfection in my book: lot of wood accents, a La Marzocco, a chalk board menu, and an unpretentious pastry case. I got a doppio espresso and a breakfast taco. The espresso was served as it should be, in an espresso cup on a mug with a mini spoon and a small glass of sparkling water to cleanse your palate. The espresso tasted fantastic, with some fruity tones and a well-rounded flavor profile. The taco was delicious and just what I needed; I got sausage, egg, & cheese in a corn tortilla. They are served with salsa upon request and it seemed they are in limited supply each day(they sold out of them by the time we left). They sell Cuvée coffee by the pound and some of their own merchandise. They had three baristas working on Saturday morning and they all seemed super capable. I noticed one guy thought he ordered a black coffee and a shot of espresso on the side, but he actually got a black eye. When he asked the barista about it, she was quick to tell him she’d be happy to pull him a new shot. So their customer service seems great!

I found their drip coffee fresh, very mild, slightly tangy, and served ready to drink(not crazy hot). I encountered friendly and speedy counter staff. Prices were higher than expected — less competition outside the metro area. Good place to stop on the way to and from.

This is super convenient to have in Dripping Springs. They have top notch equipment and serve cuvée. Their environment and layout is well thought out too. However, their barista skills are severely lacking. Coffee is generally not very good and they need some more training with their marzocco. I’m a little nerdy about coffee but my non coffee aficionado friend returned his blistering hot poorly made caramel latte. Eesh that’s hard to mess up. They also have no pour overs which is kind of expected for high end coffee shops. Honestly though, I don’t know if people in drip could tell if coffee is lacking so it could just be part of the plan. All in all, I’ll keep going because I want to support it but would love some quality control and barista training to fully warrant my hard earned money.

Got lost in the middle of nowhere and decided to check out this joint. Ordered the lavender latte which was a little adventurous for me but would recommend. Nice ambiance and pleasant music as well!

Excellent coffee and great tasting lattes. Very pleased to find such a great place in a small town. Would definitely do remote work here if I was in the area again. Check it out!

You know those moments when you’re hanging out at about 3 pm and you think ‘Hmm, I could really use a good cup of joe, but then again an ice cold beer sounds wonderful. I wonder where I could go that has a nice patio and both of those things? And maybe a nice snack too.’ I’ve got your answer. Mazama Coffee. Mistress Linda and I and Rocky the Wonder Dog were cruising Dripping Springs recently on a beautiful breezy day and the coffee/beer/snack bug hit us. Rocky was unaffected. We had been wanting to try Mazama anyway so off we went. It’s a bit confusing at first. The front door to Mazama has a fence with another door next to it. We assumed this was for the patio and tried to get in but it was locked. After spending the requisite 4 minutes repeatedly trying to open the clearly locked door, we problem solved this by having Mistress Linda go in the other door and ask them why they hate us and won’t let us into the patio. They replied they didn’t hate us but the patio entrance was around back. We didn’t debate the idea of using a practice door and just went around back, where we found ample parking and open entry. Success! Note, if you are without dog, just go in the front door. There’s another door to the patio that works inside. If you are with dog, just walk(or drive) around the back of the block to their back parking lot. The gravel patio is fenced in and nice and warm so Rocky napped while we had some really good coffee. BTW there is a water bowl there in case your dog is ready for a drink too. They have the usual choices for espresso, latte, standard black and flavored coffees. They use Cuvee coffee, which we both really like, and had it been an hour later I would gladly have opted for a nice beer. They have a good variety of bottled beer. And they had what looked to me to be a good selection of local and non-local wine. They also do smoothies, both fruit and tea, and several other drinks. All looked good to me. And the pastry case was well stocked too. We had a muffin and a scone and both were fresh and tasty. You order at the counter and take it to your table if you’re on the patio. There may or may not be wait service inside. We’re patio people. I’m mulling over the idea of going one day after farmers market and getting a coffee, slamming it, then having a couple quick beers to get that wide awake afternoon buzz, but I’m sure decent people would opt for one or the other, or a nice glass of wine. All in all, a really good place for a morning cup of Joe, a noon smoothie, or an afternoon beer or wine and snack(Did I mention they seem to have cheese plates?). One more reason to like hanging in Dripping Springs!

This is a nice little coffee shop in Dripping Springs. I have only been here twice and I had a soy chi latte each time. I really enjoyed my latte and it tasted better than Starbucks. It was a little expensive for the size, but that’s what you get with a small hometown store. I would like to come back here and try some other drinks and one of their breakfast tacos and pastries. It’s nice to have a coffee shop in DS.

One of the best coffee shops in(near) Austin. It made my commute to San Antonio a lot more enjoyable. They use Cuvee Coffee, which is always a good sign of a focus on quality. The place is small but cozy and the people are friendly. The pastries are good too. It’s a a couple minutes away from Austin. If you are on your way to Fredericksburg, Johnson City or Odessa(no idea why you would do that) or you are just lost in this part of Texas, this is a must-stop place.

Yowzuh… I’m making up my own Happy Hour at Mazama… who knew they have wine, beers, chz plates and didn’t share the info??? They’re open til 7:30 on Thu-Sat…I’m definitely Happy now! What a nice selection of wines and beers by the glass, bottle or keg… j/k Not the keg so don’t ask. I had a perfect pinot and hubby had an awesome full sail black lager from the Northwest with yummy cheese/meat plate. This is a perfect oasis to relax, de-stress, catchup with friends… you know the conversations are always more interesting with a glass of pinot. Wow! That hit the spot… but I think I’ll have another glass then it’s my latte time here at Mazama. See you here soon:)

I am a coffee shop freak and would not have expected anything from this place… but man did I get blown away. First of all: where on earth did this place come from and why is it in Dripping Spings? I would have NEVER expected such a high quality coffee shop in the middle of Texas. I love this place! It’s got great service, an incredible vibe and great food/coffee. It’s everything you could possibly want from a «big city» independently owned coffee shop in a not-so big city. I had an Iced Americano and a gluten free muffin that were both spot on and awesome. I sat outside in their cool outdoor area on this gorgeous day and loved it. The staff were super friendly and the shop lacks the pretentiousness that typically comes from a «cool» coffee shop. If you get out to Dripping Springs or are headed to a vineyard out off of 290, this is a MUSTSTOP. The only downside is that the place isn’t open past 5… but that doesn’t make me waver from my 5 star review.
