Decided to check this place our because we had a coupon– ordered 2 cheesesteaks & loaded fries. Was great for what it is– cooked fresh & staff was friendly. I don’t eat fries very often but those were realty yummy!

I’ll agree with the others here, this was just okay. I was hungry and it was right there. The cheesesteak was well prepared, but was lacking something… it’s almost as though the«steak» had no beef flavor. The banana peppers and onions made up for that, however. Overall it was just ok, maybe I’ll try again someday, but I wouldn’t drive out of my way for it.

It’s a cheesesteak place. Pretty much the same as Benny’s which used to be here. The cheesesteak itself was just ok, nothing special, and really it had nothing to make it stand out at all. The french fries were very very good. I think they were beer battered or something. Convenient location and the only cheesesteak game I could find; I think I might be back for the fries.

I don’t think I’d been here when it was Benny’s, and I’m not a cheesesteak connoisseur so I can only compare this to Charley’s, my most recent cheesesteak experience. I came here since it was handy and I was in a hurry. Service was decent, and things came out fast enough that I didn’t have to bolt. I had the 7″ cheesesteak with fries, and 5 wings. The wings were the surprise hit– small but meaty, fried up just right with juicy meat and crisp coating. The fries were solid, crisped up well. The sandwich was fine, but as others have mentioned the bread-meat ratio was off. It was good bread and meat, but I felt like I was eating a loaf, not a sandwich. The drinks and condiments are in the back, which makes carrying things up front awkward. The place is clean, and open. All in all, a decent place but nothing outstanding. It did seem a bit pricey for what I got, but I ordered a lot and was full, so I’m not complaining.

If you liked Benny’s, you’ll like AMoS. If not, you won’t. It’s pretty much the same thing. And honestly, this bummed me out a bit, I was expecting something a little different. It’s not a bad cheesesteak sandwich, and I’d probably try one again. I think it’s probably the cheese. It’s not tasty and/or there’s not enough of it. Here’s my hang up. I grew up near a Mr. Hero that I adored. That chain is still around, and maybe they’ve gone downhill… but, and maybe this is pathetic and I need to drive to eastern Pennsylvania to set myself straight, but I think Mr. Hero was the best cheesesteak I’ve ever had. I think I’ve been seeking that level of cheesesteak goodness since then and haven’t found it.

My husband & I stopped for lunch. We ordered a 12″ steak combo & a 7″ steak combo. This includes the sandwich, fries & fill your own drink. The total bill came to $ 19.02. To me this seems a little pricy & this included a grand opening 10% discount for the month of June. I decided on iced tea. The sweeteners are at the front of the shop while the drinks are at the back. The only sweeter choices are sugar & sweet & low. There is no splenda or equal. The fries were hot & crispy & they weren’t thin but average thickness. They tasted good without any dipping sauces. On my sandwich I ordered only mushrooms, onions, cheese, & mayo. The sandwich was more bread than anything else. The taste was good but very disappointed in the bread to filling ratio. My husband made the same comment about his sandwich. The filling is too thin. This restaurant is in the same location as Benny’s Cheese steak, which closed. Everything inside is the same; hard back chairs around tables with the tv in the back near the drink area. Overall I probably will not return. Food was just ok & the price was a little high.
