Excellent cheese steaks served by a very friendly family staff. Sides are quite good as well, especially the zucchini sticks, mushrooms and crinkle cut fries.

If you are heading to Benny’s turn around. They claim to be the best cheesesteaks in Columbus. I would rate the as very average. $ 11 combo with an average cheesesteak no better then a Steak-um. Frozen crinkel fries? Not worth driving for.

I have never had an authentic Philly Cheesesteak(its a shame, I know). But from what I can tell, these are as good as the real thing. My husband and I came during lunch, and quickly ordered at the counter. Two cheesesteaks and an order of sweet potato fries. Our food came out quickly and was delicious. I highly recommend the sweet potato fries. Perfectly crunchy and really good dipped in ranch or honey mustard!

Tried the cheesesteak, meat was very salty. The 7″ had very little meat in comparison to the 12″. Bread was okay, sandwich as a whole ‘meh’. If it was closer it might be a fill in. We were hoping for better.

Been here many times, now it used to be really good, like 4 to 4.5 star good, but the last 2 – 3 times i have been, I can tell they use different meat now, its not as flavorful as it used to be. Tastes very rubbery. I asked the owner about it and he said they did indeed switch because of price. Hmmm, not what I like to hear when your bread and butter are philly steak subs and you slack on the quality of the meat. The fries are pretty boring, i am not a fan of crinkle cut fries. I love there homemade Ranch, like someone said, its a little runny, but goes perfectly with the sub. Homemade rolls are tasty. If you are dying for a Cheesesteak, its a solid choice, but I dont go out of my way to come here anymore.

Really love this place. Don’t expect knock-your-socks-off, extroverted service, but do expect good food. My fab is the buffalo chicken Philly. Their homemade ranch is a little runny, but loaded with flavor. Can’t go wrong with the lemonade either. A great lunch place — worth the visit.

Being greeted here by the staff was like staring at Grant Wood’s «American Gothic» They didn’t want us there 20 minutes before closing and it almost made us feel like we didn’t want to be there as well. I can handle crabby teenage workers, though. I get where they’e coming from, but even a pissed of «Hello» could have sufficed instead of a blank stare through my heartless soul. MWAHAHAAA. Options are pretty vast and different and mostly served with a side of crinkle cut fries. The subs to me were nothing out of this world. They were OK. If I were on that side of town desperately seeking a cheese steak, then I would stop, but I wouldn’t drive miles away to have it. It wasn’t the best Cheese steak in Columbus, then again, Geno’s and Pat’s does not have the best Cheese-steak in Philly either. They can all be summed up under one word: Mediocre.

As a regular in S. Philly I was intrigued by the fact they imported Amoroso’s bread but skeptical of an authentic Cheesesteak in central Ohio. More than pleasantly surprised; especially when I saw ‘Whiz’ as a cheese option. Great meat to bread to cheese ratio. While it’s not Pat’s King of Steaks on Passyunk in Philly the commute is more manageable. Definitely returning.

The Best Cheesesteak that I have had in Columbus. Oh, probably the only cheesesteak I have gotten in Cbus. But they are pretty good and reminded me of going to Philly at Geno’s and Pat’s. Of Course, you need to get Cheese Wiz on top to make it taste good. I have to say this is a guilty pleasure but not the healthiest or top of the line ingredients. The buns are pretty tasty and they do pile on the topings if you choose to. I ordered the Johnstowne while my brother went with the BBQ. We both were pleased with our choices. They offer 7″ and either 12″ or 14.” They are pretty good sized. They cost $ 7.49, which is pretty good compared to what I payed in Philly. This was the second time that I went here and I have been pleased with my choice. The weird thing about this place is that both times it has been empty. The workers seem bored so i have to think this place doesn’t see a lot of lunchtime business at least on the weekend. I hope they see more business because any place that offers cheese wiz is stop for me. They are also in the Entertainment book which going here a bonus as I got a BOGO both times.

Why does Dublin have the best Cheesesteak’s in town?! Seriously, I hate that this is not a more central location, but a girl needs to have some Philly Cheesesteak’s every once in a while. This place is located in some strip mall I could care less about in Dublin. It is central in that it’s right off of 270 though. Anywayyyyys… I discovered Benny’s from one of my coworkers, we went there during lunch one day and it was right before Columbus Alive came out with the Cheesesteak issue so maybe in the winter/spring. Ever since I have been hooked. Not only do they have a good cheese selection which is crucial for a good CHEESEsteak, but the bread is awesome! I like the original, but I must say the Buffaloville is where it’s at. If you aren’t trying to avoid clogging your arteries or looking for the«authentic» philly then get it… Now. I get it if you have been to Philly and tried their cheesesteaks, I haven’t so I’m not calling this authentic. All I am saying is that they have a good sandwich, I love it, my friends love it, so check it out.

I’ve lived in Philly, I knew Philadelphia, and let me tell you, Benny, you’re no Philly. Frozen Steak-ums, frozen crinkle fries, store bought buns, I don’t think so. Granted the Buns were decent, but the meat was poor and the toppings were poor and the fries? C’Mon man! Every self respecting cheesesteak joint in Columbus makes their own fries!!! The only authentic part of these Steaks was the ability to get Cheeze Whiz and if that is all you got, you better go home, cause it ain’t enough. All this from a place that says«Best Cheesesteak on Earth»!!! Fuggedaboudit, I will throw a snowball battery at you if you try pulling that on me again!

I don’t understand the hype. Maybe because I’ve never had a cheesesteak in Philly, but I think Penn Station leaves this place in their dust.

BESTINTOWN! A good friend of mine is from Philly, and swears this is the ONLY place to get an authentic Philly Cheesesteak. It’s all about the Amoroso rolls…(so he says)… I can’t dissagree, the cheesesteaks here are amazing! I order a regular with onions, green peppers & Provolone(or cheese wizz). If I add anything else it’s A1 sauce. That’s it! Don’t DE-Authenticate it by adding all that other junk. Get it like those crazy Flyers fans intended. Give it a try and I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Moderately large portions for the money. The cheesesteak is cooked in front of you as you stand in their serving line. Bread is always fresh and doesn’t get soggy. Do yourself a favor and get the fried Mac&Cheese bites.
