This location is not closed– It had to move because of the Giant Eagle expansion. They are now closer to Pizza Hut/Rusty Bucket. J Mikes is a good sub shop, but they don’t toast there sub buns, which is an issue. The Roast Beef can be hit or miss– Sometimes its rare and tastes great, other times its well done and tastes bad. There subs are filling, but very very expensive. I prefer there Philly/Italian/#9, which has Roast beef on it. Employees are friendly and this particular location is clean. I like J mikes over Subway, but in this area, I think that Potbellys is the best. Its more 3 ½ stars than 3.

Amazing Philly Cheesesteak sandwich. Also all of there deli meat sandwiches are freshly cut and the best in town.

Handy location for holiday-errand-running lunch. Service was great, the food was, well, typical Jersey Mike’s. I had a chipotle cheesesteak, which was tasty. Good bread, good meat, good sauce. Next time I’m buying assorted cards at Giant Eagle, I might stop in.

Jersey Mike’s Submarine shop has been discovered! Well, at least by me. And I’m all fired up about it. Since moving here from Florida in 2009, where Jersey Mike’s was a once-a-week staple for lunch, I hadn’t been prowling for their sammies & subbies. I’ve got ‘em now. The basics? Cool deli sandwich meats and cheeses that are sliced as you wait. Don’t try and tell me Subway or Jimmie Johns competes — they don’t. Fresh meat can’t be beat. The veggie selection is basic and that’s okie-dokie for me. I’m not a veggie exotic person. The breads used are white and wheat. The texture is what makes it happen for me; a little crunchy crust with soft insides. Love it. The service as good. The eat-in areas are kinda cold and drab. All flourescent and such. So my sub was taken back to my office. I think Jersey Mike’s makes the basics of sub-making worthwhile. No fancy-Nancy stuff. Solid products for the gals and guys on the go.

I stopped at Jersey Mike’s for the first time today because I’m slightly embarrassed that the Jimmy John’s workers are starting to recognize me. I got a mini turkey and provolone sub with lettuce, tomato, banana peppers, mayo, and their spice blend. It was good but not amazing. The bread was tasty and better than Subway but still not as good as JJ’s. My other gripe is that they have a pretty minimal vegetable selection(tomato, lettuce, onions, banana peppers, not much else). In my nonprofessional opinion guacamole would have been great on it, but I realize that guacamole isn’t exactly a New Jersey thing. One thing that makes Jersey Mike’s stand out is that they slice their sandwich meat to order, meaning it tastes fresher and is less slimy than at other sub shops. For that reason I would definitely recommend Jersey Mike’s if you’re looking for higher quality meat, but for me it was just okay.

What takes a regular chain(and while Jersey Mikes isn’t bad, it’s not mindblowing, either) from a three star to a four star? Service, that’s what. I was on the run and stopped into this particular JM’s thinking it would be my best bet for a quick salad. When I asked the girl working the counter if they had a regular salad on the menu, she wasn’t sure, so she went to check with the manager. The manager came over, I explained what I wanted, and he got thoughtful. «Well, we don’t have a „salad“ as such… but if you wanted to get a veggie „Sub in a tub“, I could do that and knock a couple dollars off?» I gladly agreed, he made the salad himself and rang me up, and I suddenly have a new favorite place to get subs if I’m running around that part of Dublin.

*This location changed owners in 2⁄2009.* If it’s fresh lettuce day, this Jersey Mike’s location will serve you well. The staff is always friendly. It’s typically not too crowded inside although Fridays can get a bit crazy for lunch. Sometimes I buy a 12″ and eat all day long.

On a hot day, my boyfriend and I decided that we wanted a good sandwich for dinner. The closest place at the time was Jersey Mike’s. I was excited, because I thought it would be nicer sub shop than the big chains. I fear that I was wrong. Some might find the interior charming or nostalgic, but the place seemed really dingy and dirty to me. There were three young male employees working, and one seemed to be the trainee. I ordered a Number 1, a BLT. The assumed trainee didn’t ask me what I wanted on it… he just started slathering on mayo like it was his job. I stopped him told him to go light… and he did. Then, he couldn’t figure out which bottle was the spicy mustard. I got frustrated and got regular yellow mustard instead. Overall the sub was under par… the tomatoes tasted old and they were stingy on the lettuce and over-cooked-practically burnt bacon. Not to mention it was like…$ 6 for a regular. Which I assume is a 6 inch. If in a pinch, I’d go back, but maybe not this location. But quite honestly, every Subway or Quizno’s I’ve been to has been cleaner, cheaper, and more plentiful than this. Its rather hard to screw up a sandwich anyways.
