We have been to this place a few times and I’ll admit the food is good. But the service is another thing all together. First they only take reservations for six or more, I know because I have called ahead. Unless you are friends of the hostess or waiters. Apparently. We get there right when they open and are told they are full for the night already but then 3 friends of theirs come in(not 6) like they say you need for reservations get seated. Second once they bring your food you will never get them to help you again. Well until they need you to pay the bill that is. Also a few times we have ordered items and they always give us the cheaper types like the meats so makes sure you check. Try asking for chili sauce or a refill on a drink. and they act like its an ordeal to go get it. Seems worse on weekends.

Came here for dinner after shopping. This place is huge and clean compared to the Newark location. But the bathroom is a different story. … Customer service excellent, we were checked up on plenty. Food came out fast and even my picky daughter ate a fair amount of food. Hot pot on a cold night is the best way to go. Definitely would come here if I’m in this area.

First time having mongolian hot pot. Definitely unique but similar to the Chinese style. Would go back again but its quite a bit more pricey than thw all you can eat options i typically frequent. The options on veggies and specialized meat addtions(dumplings and other exotix choices) are far more varied, and the broths were the most flavorful that i have experienced with hot pot restaurants. I wouldnt recommend for a first time hot pot diner as it could be intimidating with what should be ordered but im also no hot pot expert! It just seems like a great spot if you like table top hot pot dining. :)

This place has promise but there’s something off with the execution. It’s pricey but the quality of ingredients does not justify the price. The meat and seafood are not super fresh or high quality and the lamb dishes are gamy. The house soup base, while it contains a lot of interesting herbal ingredients like red dates, ginseng, and don quai, has an artificial taste. There is a ton of MSG in the broth. I notice that Little Sheep sells powdered hot pot broth mix at Ranch 99(and yes MSG was a main ingredient) so it wouldn’t surprise me if the broth served in the restaurant came from a mix. The best things I had here were the boiled dumplings and the bread. Also, the restaurant was not clean the day I ate there — the floor was littered with food, tables where unbussed, and the restroom needed cleaning.

The service and the food are better than the Little Sheep in Texas. It tastes more close to authentic Chinese hot pot. But if you crave for spicy pot, ask them directly to put more sauce. The soup base was pretty good, better than those bought in ranch 99… Wear some clothes you don’t care much… You brought back the smell of hot pot to home and need to wash them to get rid of it.

My partner takes me here for the soup, but I come here for the phoenix yolk bun. It’s a delicious steamed bun filled with a sugary yolk middle. Imagine a Cadbury crème egg re-envisioned as Chinese dim sum. It reminds me of the good times when I lived in the Richmond district of SF.

Mmmm the smell of hot pot is especially good in the winter. Hot flavorful soup for meats, seafood, veggies, noodles, etc! You can’t beat it on a cool day or night. Little Sheep delivers this in spades and this location adds great service on top of quality ingredients. It is also spacious inside so you don’t feel cramped which is the case at many other hot pot restaurants. It’s gotten quite popular so the wait can be a pain on the weekends. We normally get the beef and lamb combo, veggie sampler, five types of balls(yes that sounds weird), the house special noodle(double order please), frozen tofu and a seafood or two. Always fresh and good quality meats and veggies. Very filling too as they provide good quantities of each item. If you like hot pot then this is a must try.

Best for large groups! This used to be a fall back place when the dim sum line from Mayflower(same plaza) gets too crazy during lunch time. However, now that it’s hot pot weather — there’s a good reason to drop by to get some good meats. All of the stuff they serve are fairly fresh and taste pretty good. My only gripe is they charge extra for the sauces … why?! I get the pot has flavor but sometimes it’s just not enough.

Took my mom and son for dinner last Sunday night. Loooong line but it worth the waiting. I have been to couple of Little sheep Mongolian Hot Pot places. The one in San Diego was a huge disappointment. Food was not fresh and very small quantity. This one in Dublin is the best. The place is nice and clean, the food the very fresh with reasonable amount(some time is more than we expected). Our waiter, Tony was exceptional! He checking in with us all the time with a very professional attitude. They can be very busy during the weekend but they did the best to provide the quality food and service. I will go there again, and again, and again.

Good, but inconsistent. I’ve been here a few times and have had mixed results with the broth. One time it was really delicious, and the other it was a little too herbal and salty, and one time too fatty. Great deal for lunch, with a protein selection and a variety of sides, but for dinner this place gets a tad pricey. Sauces cost extra, but really you need all of them to make the best sauce IMHO. Still, if you want some hot pot in the area, this is one of the better choices with good variety.

My parents were visiting family friends in Dublin and at lunch here, they told me and my sister that it’s just like eating Hot Pot in Taiwan and so we had to come try it. Over the holiday break we found a day to drive from Roseville to Dublin just to have hot pot! and we did see family friends too :) So, M-F they have a lunch special, for $ 9.99 a person — you get your choice of broth — 1 hot pot per table — and they have regular and spicy broth — we did half and half — both were phenomenal — i’ve not had so much flavor in a regular broth before! *Remember, this is different from Shabu(Japanese Hot Pot), this is much more traditional Chinese/Taiwan Hot Pot. The broth had a variety of flavors and ingredients — chinese herbal ingredients, garlic, peppercorns — and i’m not sure what else but YUM. With that each person gets get a small bowl of veggies — bok choy, napa cabbage, tofu, mushrooms — enoki and shitake, fish balls(2 kinds) and some wide noodles; you also get your choice of meat — lamb, beef, chicken, pork or fish. We had 3 people at our table — I’d say no more than 4 is best any bigger and split up your table to get more hot pots otherwise it’s too packed. 2 of us did beef and one did pork — both were delicious! The broth is so good that it flavors the meat instantly! The reason for the 4 instead of 5 stars is service — it was SLOW. We asked for a menu to order additional items for our hot pot and to eat — it took 20 minutes to bring to us — this happened twice, as once we were done with our initial food, we wanted to order a bit more for our hot pot — noodles, veggies and fishballs — and it took 2 reminders and another 20 minutes to get a paper menu and order. Our parents ate at another table and were done a full hour and a half before us. Yeah — good thing we took 2 cars! The pricing for the extra orders of hot pot ingredients are a bit pricey — let’s see so 3 of us did the $ 9.99 lunch — we also did the Mongolian Meat Pie(YUM — on the side not for cooking) and an order of dumplings, and as for hot pot add ons — we did additional fish balls with filling, chinese donut, bok choy, shiitake mushrooms, and 3 platters of noodles and it was like $ 80 for lunch. Seeing as how there’s The Pots in SF where it’s $ 30AYCE with probably over 75 items on the menu(double this one) — it’s more worth it — but it was nice to see a Hot Pot restaurant in a Bay Area suburb! it’s brand new and they have lots of tables! I’m not sure I’d make the trip just to eat here again due to price, but it was a great experience and if we were in the area, I’d eat here again :)

This was our first, but definitely not last, Mongolian Hot Pot experience. The lunch special is a great value, we left feeling very full, the food was great, we had good service, and the restaurant was very clean. We will bring family from out of town here, any time they visit.

We’ve dined at Little Sheep Mongolian Hot Pot and recently hosted a party there for 16 family members. The hot pot experience makes dining out more participatory and interesting. Little Sheep’s sliced meats, fresh seafood, and crisp vegetables are of excellent quality. The restaurant offer a variety of broths. You add meats, fish, vegetables, and noodles to suit your taste. The favorite at our gathering was the spicy original broth. It wasn’t too hot and the flavor was delicious. There are plenty of willing and helpful waiters available but the service can be disjointed. When we had the party one of the six hot pots was delivered and the burners turned on … except one burner was left off so instead of coming to a boil, that pot sat cooling while our guests watched it expectantly for ten minutes. We figured out the problem and got it resolved. Overall, we’ll like Little Sheep and will be continuing customers. Prices are reasonable given the quality.

So much better than the location in San Mateo this one is newer, friendlier service, definitely cleaner Good food at both locations. –1 star my only complaint is the waiters they drop off food and never come back u too they bring you the check so if you need water napkins anything else you are out of luck! It’s the same at every location I been to. Will definitely drive all the way to Dublin instead of San Mateo

WHYWEWENTHERE: — dinner with the family to celebrate my sister and her boyfriend’s new condo in Dublin — I’ve had Little Sheep Mongolian Hot Pot before at the Cupertino location, so I expected this place to be just as great THELOOK(FROMTHEOUTSIDE): — located in the plaza in a developing neighborhood, parking is aplenty THELOOK(FROMTHEINSIDE): — VERY clean — VERY new — feels VERY upscale, yet you can feel comfortable with being casual too HOWITWORKS: — you check off what you want from the paper given to you(i.e. type of soup, veggies, meats, seafood, sides, sauces) — the soup base is brought to the table and kept hot — your toppings arrive sequentially and cooked by you as such THEOVERALLEXPERIENCE: — it was everyone else’s first time experience so they were impressed by the taste and the way the process works — know that regardless of your party size it’s a pricey experience — the meal made me content, but it wasn’t filling — I was hungry again 1 – 2 hours after

OMG… Bug??? Isn’t it looks like a cockroach??? when I almost finished… I don’t know what’s going on their kitchen. I complained to the restaurant manager, and he said«…Sorry about that, you want some dessert?» And I paid all before it happened and finished my dinner because they pushed to pay early. Terrible kitchen! Seriously???

I came to this place with my friend. Long story short after eating for 45 mins, I found a catapillar in our broth. It was bathing in our soup the whole time! I told the manager, he was surprised, we didn’t pay, but he want us to pay for the beers, I told him that’s not happening, he understood. Not coming back

I absolutely love hot pot and when I discovered it a few years back in So Cal, I sought out the ones my Chinese friends said were good. Funny though, only half of them liked Little Sheep. I’ve been to 3 now(Rowland Heights, Union City, and now Dublin), and Dublin ranks second and a 4 star in my book. My fiancé has also tried the one in New York, but she said it was dirty and the portion sizes were small. So after going to the outlet mall(the San Francisco one… yeah the one that’s about as close to SF as Tracy is!), we hit LS because we were in the mood for some hot pot. Our first impression was good — the place is very clean, modern, and very spacious. The aroma was really pleasant too. I love their spicy soup base the most. This place is 100% better than the Union City one. That place is really lacking in the ambiance department. So my fiancé went to town. We ordered way too much because she thought she was getting New York portions! Let’s see if I can remember exactly what we ordered: 1) pig’s blood(or was it duck?), 2) shrimp, 3) dumplings w/fish roe inside, 4) hand cut noodles, 5) tripe, 6) their special beer marinated beef, 7) pork, 8) some kind of green vegetables, 9) enoki mushrooms. I think there was a 10th! Anyway we were starving, but I felt like this was Man vs Food. My fiancé can eat big lunches, so I had a a good partner in crime that meal. Sadly(or maybe it was a good thing?), we didn’t finish. What did we like? EVERYTHING. The only thing I didn’t think was all that special was the beer marinated meat. The soup base(we got half/half) was good as expected and the service was really great. In fact, our waiter warned us that we might be pushing the envelope, but my fiancé was convinced that she ordered the right amount! Oh now I remember why I didn’t give this place 5 stars: dipping sauce bar was absent. I mean, there wasn’t one at all. The one I’ve been to in Rowland Heights has a small bar and you can get as much as you want and mix it the way you want. I love that about going to a hot pot place. Here? It’s all pre-made and they charge you for it. It’s not much but still, my expectation is to have a sauce bar. It really didn’t sit with me too well. My guess though is that some people wasted too much or it became a hygiene issue. I saw one time a very elderly Asian woman taste a few sauces with the spoons! Uggh. Plan to visit again, but next time with a few like minded hot pot loving friends. Whose down? :)

I never thought I would like hot pot this much at a restaurant bc I usually eat hot pot at home or over at friends place. It is pricey and it adds up! If there was all you can eat on weekends, I would keep coming back! We’re out the door at about $ 70 – 80 total and feeling comfortable. I wish they would give us the soup right after we order bc it takes a bit for the soup to boil. Don’t worry that it will get too hot because they’re blasting AC. We normally get: — Soup base –half/half sour cabbage and original — Supreme beef — thin slices usually 1 – 2 is enough with everything else. If it was AYCE then it’s a different story. — Potatoe/Wide Noodles — OMG A MUSTTRY! Noodles are very chewy and clear when it’s cooked. It gets soaked up in the soup AMAZING! — Taro Noodle — soaks up the soup and taste pretty dam good! — Daikon/Wintermelon– throw these in at the beginning to soak up the soup flavor. — Mixed Veggie– mixed bowl of veggies — Beef balls– these are pretty good. Throw a few of these in at the beginning bc it taste a while to cook — Fish roe– these are the exploding fish balls. Delicious — Tofu — prefer the frozen one but we sometimes get the mixed tofu which has the fresh, frozen and fried tofu — Corn — yumm taste delicious but it’s not worth paying this much for corn when you can get 4 for $ 1 -.-

We’ve been to this restaurant twice now. So far, we have not been disappointed. Each time, we ordered the split soup(not spicy and spicy) All their dishes are fresh. We’re most impressed with the soup base. So far, we have tried the house special spicy and not spicy soup bases. We also tried the pork Rib soup. They all taste very good. By the time all the meat, seafood, noodles and veggies get cooked, the soup becomes a blend of subtle flavors that flows favorably through my taste buds. The Tuesday buffet may be more cost effective for a party of adults. But the $ 16.99/kid price tag may be a hindrance for us because our two toddlers don’t really eat that much. So maybe we’ll just keep coming and just order from the regular menu.
