After looking high and low for a pediatrician in Dublin, OH I went to OH Center for Pediatrics on the advice of my hair dresser. I found OCfP to be a very nice place with kind staff and doctors. My 18 month old son has seen Dr. Gallagher several times. Dr. Gallagher keeps to herself during exams, but will answer any questions you ask her and make sure you are aware what is going on with your child and the care they are receiving. We have been very happy with the care our son has received. At first I overlooked OCfP and went to other Dublin Peds(see my other reviews) because the other offices had drop in hours. OCfP does not have drop in hours, but you can call at 8:30am and get a same day appt. I have done this about three times in three months with my son. I almost like this better than drop in hours because 1) you talk to a nurse when you call to set up the appt, and if they think it isn’t something that needs to be seen, they will tell you what you should do and what you should watch for. 2) I have always gotten a morning apt that same day. 3) You don’t have to wait as long in the office for care, and not surrounded by sick kids the whole time! 4) As opposed to drop in times, I feel like since the nurse screens the apts, the Drs are a little more open to things like, you saying your kid had a fever all night and you come in and he doesn’t have a fever because you gave him Motrin because he was in pain. It sounds minor, but the other Drs I went to, weren’t as trusting. With the others Drs I was always paranoid about seeking care for my son if he wasn’t manifesting symptoms at the time they saw him. Because of the Drs at OCfP I have gotten more confidence about my child’s care. I am his mom and I know when he is sick, and they believe me when I say he is. Also OCfP has a 24 hour phone line. You call it and a nurse calls you back. I guess you can get to see a Dr if you need to at night or over the weekend(We have never used this, we just go to Children’s urgent care). We called OCfP on a Friday night because our son hurt his knee. We ended up going to Children’s close to home center, on the advice of the nurse, because they had X-ray facilities. Overall, I have been very happy with the care my husband and I have received for our son at OCfP.
